This possibility will be fought by Roma in the second leg, but everyone knows that it is a super difficult mission. So far Leverkusen have been very difficult to beat, this has been a perfect season for them and everyone admits it.

Roma still have a chance to qualify, but I would say it is a hope that is difficult to come true. They will try their best and appear totally attacking from the first half, but if Leverkusen is able to score 1 goal then it is clear that Roma's chance of coming back is 99% gone. Leverkusen is the favorite to qualify for the Europa League final this season, the probability is very high.
It would be easier for Roma if they can score one goal at home but it was not what they done in the first match. Hence, they will have very big task that is nearly unachievable in the second match. Roma can beat Leverkusen but beating Leverkusen 2 - 0 or any result with 2 goal difference at Leverkusen's home stadium is not easy.

In addition, in this season, in many matches, Leverkusen shown that they are very strong mentally and are not easily to collapse after a conceded goal. Roma, in contrast, to beat Leverkusen with two goal difference, will have to create panic mentally in Leverkusen, that sounds impossible.

Talking about Xabi Alonso's contract, this coach is still under contract until 2026 but he has the option to move meaning he can use this option at any time, it turned out that this clause was recorded in the contract. As a consideration, if he moves then Liverpool will be the first option and 2 other teams Bayern Munich or Real Madrid are on the list, this will be interesting news in the upcoming transfer window.
I believe Xabi Alonso aims at a coach position of Real Madrid but that position will not open next summer. The current contract of Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid will not expire next summer and Xabi Alonso decided to stay with Leverkusen only because he wants to wait for Real Madrid's coach position to open in 2025 summer.

Xabi Alonso will need to prove himself again, next season, to strongly convince Real Madrid and take that job in 2025 summer transfer season. The next season will not be easy for Xabi Alonso and Leverkusen.

I think Xabi Alonso is being realistic with his managerial career with a rush to move to a bigger challenge. He has already succeeded with building a team to success, now he want to have a challenge of maintenance of what he has built. If he succeeds in the maintenance, he will be no longer difficult to find a chance to manage any big team in the world.

I think Xabi Alonso is a man with principle who appreciates the bond he has created in the squad of Leverkusen. He won't leave them when Leverkusen having a bigger challenge of playing in Champions League next season. If he leaves now, maybe few players will also leave, because big clubs are also targeting their players who have performed brilliantly in Bundesliga. When he is available to move from Leverkusen, many big clubs will compete to hire him as their manager.

For now, Xabi Alonso is not thinking about anything except remaining focused on winning all the titles ahead including the European League which is the main priority, I can say it only takes one more step for Alonso and Leverkusen to make this record, Xabi Alonso's level and reputation will increase if he really win the European league. As we know, Leverkusen is the team closest to the title based on the odds offered by the bookies and Atalanta are strong candidates as their opponents in the final.

We know there's presence of other elite teams that's ready to place their huge bids for Xabi Alonso but with the current level this spectacular coach find himself, he chooses to remain in Bayer Leverkusen to upgrade the entire level of the club. Xabi Alonso is careful because any slightest wrong choice will definitely see the end of his career. He's doing an amazing job for Bayer Leverkussen this season, everyone gives him his credits because he deserves them.

I'm talking about the future. Maybe coach Xabi Alonso will only stay at Leverkusen for one more season. Meanwhile, coach Alonso is being hunted by many prominent European clubs with special incentives. I mentioned the possibility of Alonso joining Real Madrid. Maybe Xabi Alonso will become Real Madrid's coach one day. I know for sure that will happen. Alonso is a great coach, and Leverkusen certainly wants to keep him. But in the future, who knows? The current reality is that good coaches and good players will find their way to bigger clubs and tournaments in the Bundesliga.

If I was the coach, this would have been the best time for me to leave the club after I have helped the club achieve a record and a history that they will remember. It is better I leave a legend than leave after a season when I am not sure if things will still go as well as to did this season. Supporters are always quick to forget sometimes and can quickly turn against a coach who has been very good to them if they suddenly start experiencing a series of bad results.

Next season, they will participate in the Champions League. They know how fierce football is. Xabi Alonso's teachers and students should try to encounter big guys like Man City and Real Madrid. Then, they will realize how small they are.
The champions league is a bigger competition, their first challenge for the next season in the champions league if they qualify will be to pass the group stages of the competition.

This will be a disadvantage for small teams like Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayer Leverkusen is preparing to refresh its squad in the summer as it looks to defend its Bundesliga championship and compete in the Champions League. But their reputation or finances are not enough to recruit top stars. They can only choose players that big teams have abandoned or are not famous. Not only that, the opposite will happen. Big clubs are interested in Leverkusen players because they are doing well this season. I believe that the big club will ask for Leverkusen players. Leverkusen will never grow more robust.

They do not have the finances. They will also be like Dortmund. And even coach Xabi Alonso will leave Leverkusen to find a big club to develop his career.
It seems like you forgot to read the news about Xabi Alonso who will stay at Bayer Leverkusen next season and if you said the Bayer Leverkusen team couldn't develop because they didn't have the funds and top players they could get. Does Bayer Leverkusen have more top players this season and have never lost until now? You should be able to make a comparison with a team that has a lot of money but doesn't have a coach who is skilled at polishing the players so that they become so good and united in matches. Because from what Xabi Alonso has shown, it is quite clear evidence that a team not only needs money, but also a coach who is skilled enough to provide guidance on the best ways to its players so that the team can grow stronger.

I'm talking about the future. Maybe coach Xabi Alonso will only stay at Leverkusen for one more season. I said that, eventually, they would be like Dortmund. Leverkusen will sell its good players, which will be challenging to develop.

Yes. I know whether a football team succeeds or fails depends on the coach. But a team with money and a good coach will be much better. Leverkusen is coached very well by Xabi Alonso. But only in the Bundesliga and minor tournaments. Next season, they will participate in the Champions League. They know how fierce football is. Xabi Alonso's teachers and students should try to encounter big guys like Man City and Real Madrid. Then, they will realize how small they are.

This is just the same scenario as mine, because I was not expecting to see what I saw yesterday. I have high hopes for AS Roma. but unfortunately i was disappointed, but that is just what is known as football, they most likely be up and down, but my prediction was either 1-0 for AS Roma or 1-1, which even in the game i still have hope on them, but when Floria Wetz scored the first goal at 28 minutes of the game i was still hoping to see an equalizing goal from AS Roma. but they were not able to. I lost hope completely when I saw the second goal, and at the end, I got a headache.

Seriously, I was not happy yesterday because I put AS Roma as my favorite to go with the trophy this season, but unfortunately, they won't be able to achieve what I was in yesterday's situation because of them, and I am not even a fan, so what if I am a fan? How will that end?

I also think of that, but with a 50% belief because I know that their unbeaten performance will hardly be cut off by Roma. I was either expecting them to go on a draw or a win for Leverkusen, which ended up as a win for Leverkusen, but no doubt Roma also played their best in the game because they really tried because they also made an attempt. But all I am putting into consideration now is that Leverkusen should just wait for a few weeks to hold their trophy because they cannot be stopped by any of the teams left again.

Furthermore, maybe you have become their fan without your knowledge, because even if you are fain, that is the least feeling that you might encounter, so you should know how to manage your emotions, especially on football.

There is nothing any team can do about winning this league again, the only team that has always been favourite for this tittle is Leverkusen, they have been superb since the beginning of the Europa league started till date, they haven't shown any sign of weakness, and no team have defeated them. This is something I really love about them, and I'm looking forward to seeing them win the Europa league, which will mark their winning of the trebble they've always dreamt of.An elimination of Roma made them more favourite for the tittle, and I must congratulate them in advance.
Before the exit of Liverpool, they had been the favourite to win the trophy this season but then it turned out that they lost their form along the line and lost out of the Europa and the next best team as at the time happens to be Leverkusen hence the favourite seem to switch to them because they happen to be the next best team who where able to win their games to the point they got beyond the quarter finals.

After the defet of Liverpool, it began to seem like Atalanta gained more strength and confidence in all that they are doing and are gradually getting to  try to grab an opportunity at the Europa this season but then I doubt if they will be able to make it through because Leverkusen is definitely going to be a stumbling block to the. Just like they just did to Roma and it happens that Roma is not very likely not going to make it to the finals but then Atlanta still have a chance to make it to the finals but winning the trophy is definitely going to be in serious contention.

If Atlanta get to the finals probably by been able to win the second round of their meeting with their opponent them I would say they have been able to do a whole lot this season and if they are unable to make it in their domestic league, it wouldn't be seen that they weren't able to achieve a lot because they have been able to achieve in the Europa which made it look like they Chanelled their energy to where they saw more opportunities and some how it happened to eventually pay off for them.

I have to eat my own words, and what i write yesterday here and in other days also, i was not expecting at all this easy win from Leverkusen on Rome soil.

I see the last part of the game and i dont understand why Rome play in this way and why they cant pierce the Leverkusen defense. Just imagine being a Rome fan second year in a row in the gates of glory....

To be honest, I didn't watch this fight. however, I hope that AS Roma will be able to provide fierce resistance to Leverkusen. moreover, the fight was held at the Olympics. referring to the statistics and highlights of this match, the two goals scored by Leverkusen should not have happened if one of Roma's defenders had not made a blunder. Plus, the Roma goalkeeper was out of step to anticipate the ball's arrival. In fact, Roma controlled the game and had 3 big opportunities, 1 of which hit the goalpost. Unfortunately, not a single goal was scored against Leverkusen. In the end, Xabi Alonso's squad won this match with an aggregate of 0-2, which was quite tough for Roma in the second leg. Tactically, Roma didn't play badly. It's just that, several Roma players, especially their defenders, underperformed.

We'll see in the second leg, although theoretically Leverkusen on paper is capable of overthrowing Roma again. However, football is unique and I want to know what De Rossi will do for his squad. at least, he has had experience and learned to overcome Leverkusen later. I'm a neutral viewer, I just want to watch the second leg and both teams will give a fun match to enjoy and watch.

Basically, AS Roma still has a chance to qualify for the final round if they can win with 3 goals (without conceded a goal) at least in Leg 2. However, if we consider the performance of AS Roma in Leg 1, it is very doubtful that AS Roma can score 3 goals in Leverkusen home. They even failed to score a single goal at their own stadium, how they score a goal in Leverkusen stadium?  Roll Eyes As this is very difficult to happen, I can agree that Leverkusen has secured their position in the final round.

Everyone must think the same, Leverkusen should win the trophy of Europa league this season. There is no other teams that have most consistent performance like Leverkusen. Leverkusen is showing an incredible performance during this season, no team can defeat them. They probably will secure the UEL trophy and unbeaten status in this competition.
I agree with that, but it is not impossible for Leverkusen to fail in the final.

Aggregate of 2 goals seems to have ensured their position in the 2023/24 UEL Final. AS Roma must be able to score 3 goals but need to keep a cleansheet to go to the Final, which is difficult or even not possible, considering that Leverkusen is the club with the lowest number of goals conceded in the Bundesliga and UEL. This is a signal that Xabi Alonso's team has a disciplined defense so it is not easily penetrated by opposing players. In other side, Roma, doesn't have a good level of goal productivity this season, will definitely find it more difficult to win the match with 3 goals in the 2nd leg.

We might not have thought that Leverkusen was still unbeaten, in fact they continued to extend their record when they played in the semi-finals away to Roma. De Rossi still doesn't seem capable enough to stop Xabi Alonso in this competition and as we can see there was no difficulty at all for Leverkusen to steal the lead in the first leg.

I don't know if I am the only one seeing Bayern leverkusen in the finals of the Europa League since. I have seen them even in the finals with Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp and his boys toyed with the Europa League and they have really paid darely for it.

I will personally not be happy with Bayern leverkusen if at this point they decide to spoil their unbeaten record in the eleventh hour. I wish them well and looking forward to their champions League performance next season.

In my opinion, Xabi Alonso's squad is the strongest candidate for this season in the Europa League, giving confidence to the players to play according to Alonso's directions and it has been proven that they are able to come out as winners, Alonso's proof is beyond doubt that it is true that he is the most successful successor this year  , Alonso really deserves to be a great coach to become the world's top coach, because he was able to bring Leverkusen to this point with players who are not that well known.

Regarding As Roma, it seems that it will be difficult to turn the situation around because playing as a guest in the second leg is impossible for European clubs at the moment. Seeing that Leverkusen at this point is really a frightening specter for the Italian club As Roma, the problem is that Leverkusen has not yet lost at all.  in their last few matches, let alone in the Domestic League in Europa, they were able to make changes to the scheme played by the Leverkusen players, so it is very clear that Xabi Alonso's men are really strong in all aspects.

At the moment, the UEL this season is left with 4 teams set to battle it all out at the semi finals. The strongest team said to be Leverkusen will be facing the second toughest Roma and I must say it all seems like the UEFA board wants Leverkusen to go home with the trophy. Comparing the probability of the game outcome taking into consideration both teams performances so far, Leverkusen is the better side and they have the greater advantage over Roma. Yes Roma can be competitive and can make the game tough but Leverkusen's record won't let them stay down to be defeated. Really it'll be a game to look out for as in the first and second legs, both teams would put up their best to seeing if they can secure the 3points.

The last two teams aren't much of big strengths as they've had minor records so far in their European cup quests. If either of them wins, it'll be a walkover game for their final opponent because either Roma or Leverkusen would be a better side to them considering experiences gained and domestic league performances this season. Atalanta or Marseille aren't tough teams and if I'm to predict the qualified team to be, I'd go for Atalanta based on they are a little above the average performance of their normal performance. The semi finals won't be an easy battle as anything really can happen on the field of play.

Leverkusen's qualification to the semi finals of this season's UEL was also historic as they kept their unbeaten record still in play after drawing to West ham. This season they've been an undaunted team and they really have all it takes to finish the season with the unbeaten record intact and two trophies in their shelf. Their next UEL opponent is competitive but it's not really a big deal for them based on the fact that they have gained enough confidence and have even being in tougher encounters which they've at thesame time comfortably come out from victoriously. Roma themselves know that they won't be up for a joke game in the semi finals stage.

Presently leverkusen is not a match for Roma, we all saw what happened yesterday, they dominated the match keep the ground hitting till the end of the match, the result of the match was what i expected, Leverkusen has impressively performed very but in their league and europa and any team facing them at this period will have prepared because too, the force of the team is much to encounter any team at the time, be it Realmadrid, I will not mention Bayern because they defeated bayern, shot on goals was 4 against 2 and it favour Leverkusen, they utilize 2 out they 4 created by them.
I have checked and I have concluded that Leverkusen will go to the final unstoppable, this wining yesterday has continued their plan to end this season comfortably, Leverkusen has been a remarkable football team this season, with all their display this season I think they deserve the good result in this game.
They were very good against Rome, we saw what happened in the match. While Roma with De Rossi was promising, I knew how hungry and willing Bayern Leverkusen was and I never doubted this match. They will easily advance to the final.

I think they deserved to win the European league this season, and they seem to be the best team to win, and they are heading towards the final step by step. Roma, who will start with two goals less than they will play in Germany in the second leg of the semi-final, are likely full to feel any kind of pressure.
Bayer Leverkusen is heading for the dream end of their season while they won away game by 0–2 with still this is not guaranteed to have spot into final, but their performance is impressive in this season and things are clearly favourable for them to have won in second win because they are unbeaten and their quality and performance is also amazing which is helping them for having wins like these which were no expecting from them in start of this season.

De Rossi is also doing good for the Roma but in this game they were not able to convert their any chance which helps them for having some resistance Lukaku and Abraham hit shots, but they were not good to secure any goal in this game and give hopes to their fans for having anything good in second leg of the event which will be played in Germany.

I personally still believe Bayer Leverkusen will be able to continue its unbeaten trend this season, of course until Bayer Leverkusen manages to win all the trophies or get the treble winner this season. The reason I am still very confident that Bayer Leverkusen will continue its unbeaten trend this season is because Bayer Leverkusen is still consistent in the Bundesliga even though Bayer Leverkusen has won the Bundesliga trophy but after that, Bayer Leverkusen still does not accept the result of losing because after all, Bayer Leverkusen also still continuing to make great efforts until the minute of injury time to end the match unbeaten. Moreover, recently AS Roma's performance seems to have declined slightly and therefore, I personally remain confident that Bayer Leverkusen will continue to win or draw and will be unbeaten in all competitions until this season ends.

Let's see what happens in the second leg if Roma can get luck and win the match, However, Leverkusen has outperformed them this season, and I believe Atlanta and Leverkusen will go to the final. And anything that make Leverkusen to the final, I don't see what will stop them from winning the title. Xabi Alonso will keep good record this season if he does not lose any matches before the season ends.

Leverkusen's been playing lights-out in this Europa League. That 2-0 on the road? Thats a statement win, the best kind. They're not just winning, they're dominating. Clean sheets, away victories - thats the mark of a champion team, believe me. Im telling you, they'll finish the job in the second leg, and the final is theirs for the taking. Now, Atalanta, they're tough, got that home-field advantage to work with. And anything can happen in football. Could Marseille pull off an upset? Maybe. But right now, Leverkusen's in the driver's seat. They're the best team in this competition, nobody even comes close.
So far, Bayern Leverkusen's performance has been very impressive, even sensational. The 2-0 advantage obtained at the Olimpico was clearly a big asset to lock in the second leg in Germany. I really want to see such a phenomenal team in one season to reach the final and bring home the trophy and that would be a sweet note in football history.

Atalanta is also one of the strong candidates to be able to talk a lot in Europe, a draw is also an important asset for them when they face the second leg in Italy. This Italian representative needs to be watched out for because they have proven their prowess when they succeeded in silencing Liverpool, who previously did not receive such a prediction. If Atalanta is able to qualify for the final, Bayern Leverkusen must be wary of it because Gian Piero Gasperini's troops could become a stumbling block to bury the beautiful dreams of Xabi Alonso and his troops.
After performance like this we are having very strong case for the Bayer Leverkusen to end this season with treble because things were not like this before first leg game mostly were expecting challenging game for both sides, but Leverkusen steal the show with style which is amazing and now most chances their spot is secured in the final.

In the other game, Atlanta which is also having good chance of having good end of their season while they are going to face Juventus in Copa Italia final and now also going to host Marseille which ends with draw in first leg game if they are going to keep this performance then surely they can secure final spot with their chances for the top six spots in Serie A are also high because they are having easy game which will help them for having good end of their average season.

However, this is important capital ahead of the second leg, so it is certain that Leverkusen's chances will be greater when they play at home and Roma can only hope for a miracle if they are still thinking about getting to the final round.

They have tried their best this season and everything they have achieved so far was deserving, from winning the Bundesliga title to going to the DFB Cup and now they are 2 goals up in the Europa League semi final while at the advantage of playing the second leg at home. I think they have qualified to the final already and with their performance i don’t think they will be scared of any opponent they face they are the favorites to win the title.
They seem hungry and they don’t seem like they are ready to lose any match at the moment and with that they can win the remaining two cups they have at hand, the Europa League and the DFB POKAL cup.
