In my opinion, with this great strength, Leverkusen could end the season brilliantly and break a record that has never been done by any European team. On the other hand Marseille 1-1 Atalanta ended up draw, with the Marseille previous Europa games they are just being lucky up to this stage, but checking their matches the always took advantage of their home to move to the next stage of the competition, but this particular game is different because the draw in the first leg right at Orange Velodrome, i will not conclude yet but i think Marseille will not get to the final, Atalanta will eliminate them.

However, the most interesting team we have seen this season is Leverkusen and they do not have the highest chance of winning the trophy. And I think this season Leverkusen will be able to win two trophies, the Europa League and the Bundesliga, of course these two trophies are in their hands.

Yes that's right. Whichever team passes to the final, be it Atalanta or Marseille, for Leverkusen there is no problem, they will still be champions of the European League this season because Leverkusen's current performance is very trustworthy and very difficult to beat. The reason is that Roma, who was said to be going to break Leverkusen's unbeaten record in the first leg, ultimately failed and of course in the second leg, victory again went to Leverkusen.

Moreover, in the first leg, Bayer Leverkusen managed to beat AS Roma with a convincing score of 2-0. Whoever wins between Atalanta and Marseille would be easily defeated by Leverkusen.

Roma did not play too attacking, I can say so, and they did got chance to score first but unluckily, Lukaku's headshot hits the bar. It's a terrible decision to play offensively against Leverkusen.

It is incredible how far Bayer Leverkusen have gone in different leagues so far. They won 1.Bundesliga few rounds before its end, throwing Bayern Munich from their thrown since a decade. They are playing good and won against Roma with two goals although playing away, and they are a furious contender for the title. Without forgetting the new unbeaten record that the team wants to break! I wish them good luck, it was well merited.

Atalanta is a big name team in the past but have lost their glory days hopefully they can bring them back now. They’ve come this far in the Europa League this season and has to eliminate Liverpool, that was a big surprise to all. They are not the best in their league but they’re doing bravely well in the European competition, this is a commendable one from them. I see them to be the team for the finals of the Europa league and not Marseille even if the first leg was tied.


Bayern Leverkusen just can’t stop winning again, let them be giving the trophy right away because they deserve it more than any team in the competition now. What an amazing achievement from them this season, unbeaten in all competitions and still winning their first trophy in the Bundesliga. They are still within the reach of this trophy too, so I expect them to also win this amongst others this season.

Indeed, Frankfurt will be the next opponent in the Bundesliga that Leverkusen will face. If they win or at least draw, then that will really level up the record from Benfica, right? Ah, surely Xabi will be thinking about this a lot, because he is only 1 game away from going over, and they can't break this before it happens. In the next match, Xabi will definitely try even more optimally to keep his defense stronger and optimize all chances of winning. Because with this, Leverkusen will really succeed in achieving and leveling its record and much more, to surpass and get the new one again.

Apart from wanting to get some of the players Xabi is targeting, there are many big clubs who are also increasingly interested in Leverkusen players and have even started to target him. And will Leverkusen really let them go, for several purposes, including getting other targeted players? Yes, because from now on, Leverkusen must be a bigger and bigger club. as well as competition in much bigger events.

I would have preferred to see Liverpool at this stage of the competition other than Atalanta. I watched them play today and just wondered if it were the same team that ended Liverpool from the first leg with over 4goals. They played rather poorly today, couldn’t constitute proper attacks neither were they able to make much out of there forward play. I think O. Marseille played better football today and pressured Atalanta real nice. Too bad they weren’t able to seal the deal and that might turn out to be their undoing when they go to play Atalanta at their home.

Bayer Leverkusen on the other hand is a team you could trust to win against AS Roma. AS Roma haven’t been in its best form and with Bayer Leverkusen haven’t won there  league already, they’ve got all their focus in the Europa and did beat Roma to a 2 nil win easily.

Roma's away win gives Leverkusen a significant advantage before the semi-final second leg at home and helps them extend their unbeaten streak to 47. Leverkusen is aiming for a historic treble with coach Xabi Alonso when they have won the national championship, reached the National Cup final, and, most likely, the Europa League. Coach Xabi Alonso's team still shows that the team is becoming more and more complete and may be aiming to be unbeatable this season. They have not tasted defeat in all competitions this season, thereby becoming the team in Europe with the longest unbeaten streak in the 21st century. Not stopping there, if they continue not to lose in the next match, Leverkusen will officially equal the unbeaten record created by Benfica from 1963 to 1965.

If you look at Atalanta, it is a team that have history and a team that have some good records back then, but like in past decade, they are not in good form and they dropped to a team below average. I was not surprised as they defeated Liverpool and I will not be surprised if they defeated Marseille in the second leg.

Leverkusen has another good chance to bag another trophy in their gallery this season which is a good achievement for Alonso to add more recognition to his performance and he will definitely get a bigger team if he decides to leave even though he has announced that he will be staying at Leverkusen for another season.

The record Leverkusen is trying to maintain at this point in time is such that is actually not easy to maintain at all and I can say for sure that they are actually trying a d are doing the very best they can do, from the beginning of the season no one has expected this much from them because they have always taught they aren't a strong team enough to be able to get such records a d all they have gotten is just but average results.

The fact that they were an average team and now been coached by a new and very young Coach was another factor that was been put to consideration that made the expectations on them was actually lowered because it was looking like an average team with such a young coach who's taking up such a job for the first time is  most definitely going to do poorly but then the thing that first drew attention to them was their ability to staying unbeaten in a long time, which has further be maintained tillt hei day and has given them even more attention than they had a earlier.

I think this record could possibly get to give Leverkusen more fans as many people will definitely get to want to be associated with the success they are seeing much more than the one they may. E hoping for and the fact that they are birthing a new era in the bundesliga where team are now having a level fair grounds to play is another huge factor to consider well enough to be able to give more accolades to Leverkusen.
