Maybe Alonso really opens a new chapter in the history of Bayer, yesterday they took a very serious step and beat Roma away. I had doubts whether they could do it, but Bayer won, and did it convincingly. A team that has not lost a single match is unlikely to lose at home in the return match, and yesterday's victory is a very serious bid to reach the final. In the second semi-final, Atalanta played to a draw with Marseille, which also played into the hands of the guests.

The Bundesliga has become more competitive only thanks to Bayer, other teams do not perform as well in the Bundesliga as they do in the Europa League and Champions League.
Leverkusen is very close to the final and the Europa League title this season, the 2 goal victory over Roma in the first leg is actually not that surprising because Leverkusen has shown its quality since the start of the season and on the other hand, Roma, which has increasingly developed since being coached by De Rossi, has not been able to to beat or break Leverkusen's winning record.

The consistency they have maintained since the start of the season is still continuing and if Leverkusen succeeds in winning the Tropy treble this season without losing then they are a truly extraordinary team, no one would have thought that before.
Leverkusen is not only close to the final, but is almost certain to be the winner of this competition. The 2-0 victory at the Olimpico was the most valuable asset when playing in the second leg, Leverkusen could play more calmly because they didn't have the slightest burden. Maintaining victory in the first leg is not too difficult because you will be playing in front of your supporters. They only need to maintain their defense so they don't concede more than one goal if they want to qualify for the final without having to go through 2X15 minutes of extra time. The treble winner is still very wide open for Leverkusen, their consistent performance makes it easier to win the Europa League and DBF Cup trophies.

Leverkusen didn't surprise me last night. Roma were the one that surprised me because they couldn't even score one goal home. I expected a closer game here and thought Leverkusen would finish the job in the rematch. But it looks like it is over already.  Smiley  The unbeaten streak has reached 47 games now and the number still continues to get bigger.
Roma did it very wrong in that game. The club was always playing offensively. It would better for roma to use low block rather than play offensive against leverkusen. The chance is getting even smaller for roma to qualify for the final of europa league next season. Leverkusen keeps increase its unbeaten record. What an unbelievable team.
Xabi has turned it into the perfect team for sure.

I just don't give much chance to Atalanta or Marseille either to beat Leverkusen. Even Roma can't do it. When it comes to the other game the final score wasn't much surprising. It was a big risk to bet on a side already. Rather than that both teams to score and over 2.5 goals seemed reasonable but only one of them won as it ended 1-1. I think Atalanta will reach the finale.
Who knows if a miracle will come to those clubs. I meant nothing impossible for atalanta or marseille to beat leverkusen as long as it can know its main weakness. Beating leverkusen will also help to create a new record by beating one of longest winstreak in the football.

Leverkusen's victory in the match against Roma was not surprising. However, what surprised me was that in this match, Roma as the hosts were unable to score a single goal. So I can't imagine what will happen to Roma in the second leg which will be held at Leverkusen headquarters. The reason is that Leverkusen will definitely play much better than last night's match. So it looks like Leverkusen's path to reaching the Europa League final will not be too difficult. The reason is that in the home match, Leverkusen will certainly beat Roma again. And De Rossi definitely has to think about the right strategy for his team. The reason is that in the second leg, like it or not, Roma had to try to play more aggressively from the start. So can have the hope of scoring goals and equalizing the aggregate.

And yes, if for example Leverkusen could win this European league competition. Maybe it's true that Leverkusen will win a treble of trophies this season. Because in the Bundesliga, Leverkusen is guaranteed to be champions. Then in the DFB cup, Leverkusen also entered the final. And most likely Leverkusen will win it. Apart from that, Leverkusen's achievements this season are indeed beyond expectations. The reason is, in previous seasons Leverkusen's performance was not as good as the current season. But basically, after Alonso became Leverkusen coach in 2022, Leverkusen began to experience a lot of improvement in performance.

Champions Indeed, what a killer mentality from these Bayern Leverkusen players, I think and wonder what's going on with em, what Xabi Alonso tells them before the fixtures, during the Half Time break. Lol!
Why should you be boggled? Not even in the slightest way even if my fulltime prediction was for both sides to draw that gake yesterday night.
Congratulations to them, they're doing great this season, I want to see them go unbreakable and unbeaten finally this very season.

As Roma with Jose Mourinho won Bayern Leverkusen last season, so I wanted them to knock them out this same season but,  ( Not as Revenge )
My Prediction is for Marseille to proceed to the finals against Bayern Leverkusen. Before now, I have always predicted for the finals between two ex-teammates, Per Emerick Aubameyang and Granit Xhaka. I agree with you, not even Marseille would be able to win them if they get to the finals, Bayern Leverkusen are on another level.

In the other match in the semifinal, Marseille drew 1-1 with their opponent at home.Although they had a bad season in the league, the fact that they have come this far in the Europa League shows how experienced they are.We can say that their draw at home against Atalanta weakened their chances of passing the round.Atalanta has a high probability of winning at home and therefore I think that Marseille will be eliminated. The final match will be Leverkusen-Atalanta, but Atalanta has no chance if they eliminate Marseille.

This will be a disadvantage for small teams like Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayer Leverkusen is preparing to refresh its squad in the summer as it looks to defend its Bundesliga championship and compete in the Champions League. But their reputation or finances are not enough to recruit top stars. They can only choose players that big teams have abandoned or are not famous. Not only that, the opposite will happen. Big clubs are interested in Leverkusen players because they are doing well this season. I believe that the big club will ask for Leverkusen players. Leverkusen will never grow more robust.

They do not have the finances. They will also be like Dortmund. And even coach Xabi Alonso will leave Leverkusen to find a big club to develop his career.
It seems like you forgot to read the news about Xabi Alonso who will stay at Bayer Leverkusen next season and if you said the Bayer Leverkusen team couldn't develop because they didn't have the funds and top players they could get. Does Bayer Leverkusen have more top players this season and have never lost until now? You should be able to make a comparison with a team that has a lot of money but doesn't have a coach who is skilled at polishing the players so that they become so good and united in matches. Because from what Xabi Alonso has shown, it is quite clear evidence that a team not only needs money, but also a coach who is skilled enough to provide guidance on the best ways to its players so that the team can grow stronger.

This is real proof of Leverkusen, they put on quite an impressive performance and before the match started many said that Roma would be able to match Leverkusen's performance but in reality Leverkusen was actually able to win easily in the first leg even though they were playing at Roma's home ground.
I think now that everything is over, Leverkusen will easily advance to the final of the Europa League this season because in the second leg they will play with more confidence at times and Agg's 2 goal advantage will be quite profitable for Leverkusen.

Atalanta is currently the favorite to advance to the final, they played the first leg at home to Marseille very well, the draw result is quite profitable for Atalanta who will play at home in the second leg and I think it is very likely that Atalanta will be able to win in second leg later.

Roma hosted Leverkusen at home.Leverkusen, who declared the championship in the German league with a difference, has a high potential to win the European cup.I can say that the opponents in front of them are easy for them to win both the league championship and the European cup championship.Leverkusen, who beat Roma 2-0 away from home, has almost guaranteed the round. I can say that Leverkusen's success this year is definitely due to the manager. He will be a good manager in the future and he has already managed to add color to a team like Leverkusen with his achievements.

Interesting matches yesterday evening as far as the Europa League is concerned, on paper we had two easy victories, one for Atalanta against Marseille and the other for Bayer against Roma.

Never say never though as the teams will give 100% as the winner will receive free entry into the Champsion League for next year as a bonus.

I had a feeling Roma would have a tough time in the game, but I didn't expect it to be this challenging. Leverkusen secured a two-goal victory over Roma in the first leg. If Leverkusen had capitalized on more of their chances, the score could have been even higher, possibly 5-0 or more. Roma will need a miracle in the second leg against a team that hasn't been beaten this season. For Leverkusen, reaching the final and winning the Europa League title this season seems achievable given their consistent performance. Bayern Leverkusen is currently on a different level altogether.
Leverkusen seems unstoppable and excelling in every aspect. They appear too strong to be defeated.

Bayer Leverkusen is still untouchable, they have never been defeated in this European League competition, and it looks like it won't be difficult for them to win again in the Second Leg because at that time the match will be held at BayArena stadium, which is Leverkusen's home ground. Even though Roma was playing at home in this match, but they looked very nervous, especially their defense line which had to struggle to withstand the attacks from Leverkusen. Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen looks very consistent, and it's as if they really know how to win.

Roma missed the chance to win at home against Leverkusen, and it will certainly be a tougher game for them in the next leg. As they failed to attack successfully at home and lost results, they may be knocked out of the Europa League this season, and they will fail to make it to the finals. Leverkusen who attacked had the potential to score more goals, but it didn't happen, but they still managed to win 2-0 which is huge for them, and they will definitely be tougher at home. Leverkusen have gained a reputation as an unbeaten team so far this season, of course I don't think Roma will be able to pull off a miracle by beating Leverkusen in the second leg. And this season I think they will probably win the Europa League, and they are expected to win the championship. As they have been the best from the beginning to the end of the season, and they are still in the strongest form, they have enough power to win the championship.
I bet on Roma but the results were disappointing for the first leg. maybe if it's a 0-1 defeat I think Roma still has a chance to retaliate in the second leg. but the situation became more difficult when they had to chase an aggregate of 2 goals at home to Leverkusen.
the second leg belongs to Leverkusen, they will not let Roma breathe at their home ground. if Roma fails this season in the Europa League, the only way for them to remain in the Europa League next season is to maintain their position in the standings. a tough job for their new coach.

I believe that if next season they are sponsored to buy players, they will be just like the big clubs in Europe. They will make the whole world pay attention to them. Coach Xabi Alonso needs some money in the transfer window. He will know the impossible comes true.
Yes, several players who were targeted by Xabi for market transfers next season have been left behind. One of them is that they want to bring in Rafa Marin from Real Madrid.
https://thehardtackle.com/transfer-news/2024/04/25/xabi-alonso-wants-bayer-leverkusen-to-sign-rafa-marin/

Apart from wanting to get some of the players Xabi is targeting, there are many big clubs who are also increasingly interested in Leverkusen players and have even started to target him. And will Leverkusen really let them go, for several purposes, including getting other targeted players? Yes, because from now on, Leverkusen must be a bigger and bigger club. as well as competition in much bigger events.

This will be a disadvantage for small teams like Bayer Leverkusen.

result is not very pleasant and how is it possible for Roma without scoring a single score against Leverkusen when Roma have a very good chance of playing at home and can you see how many times Roma has wasted opportunities without being able to score when they get good opportunities?
IMO, Roma just lacked focus in that match and didn't want to try to attack closer and shot the ball more often from long distances.
but where is Lukaku? I mean why doesn't Lukaku have his usual mentality?

and Marseille vs Atalanta, both teams performed well yesterday, they had very careful performances, neither team dominated the match, but both teams maintained their defensive line to still end in a draw, but what is very clear here is Atalanta after conceding 1 score, Atalanta tried to use a defensive strategy to get a draw and reply in the second leg.

You have actually made an elaborated but true reality of how the Leverkusen team had started with in this season and of a truth our former view towards them at the beginning is totally of a different one at this point as they have proven to be a team to be reckoned with when talking about the German Bundesliga.

They have come out in a formidable form that had made the Bundesliga most competitive this season than we have seen in many years and had not failed to extend this performance consistently even in the Europa league competition. And am fascinated to say that they are a very favourite aide in this Europa competition to win the title this season. More so, am positive we will see more of this about them when they eventually play in the European champions league competition come next season.

In my opinion, Xabi Alonso's squad is the strongest candidate for this season in the Europa League, giving confidence to the players to play according to Alonso's directions and it has been proven that they are able to come out as winners, Alonso's proof is beyond doubt that it is true that he is the most successful successor this year  , Alonso really deserves to be a great coach to become the world's top coach, because he was able to bring Leverkusen to this point with players who are not that well known.

Regarding As Roma, it seems that it will be difficult to turn the situation around because playing as a guest in the second leg is impossible for European clubs at the moment. Seeing that Leverkusen at this point is really a frightening specter for the Italian club As Roma, the problem is that Leverkusen has not yet lost at all.  in their last few matches, let alone in the Domestic League in Europa, they were able to make changes to the scheme played by the Leverkusen players, so it is very clear that Xabi Alonso's men are really strong in all aspects.

Here the Europe League semifinal result matches for first leg

  • Roma 0 vs 2 Leverkusen
  • Marseille 1 vs 1 Atalanta

Leverkusen secure the winning capital on the first leg math behind two goals and make easily at second leg match playing on home one step closer to final round. Leverkusen still defend the unbeaten matches in Europe League and all competition and seems get final round for next on second leg match without loss yet their appearance in Europe League until reach to final stage.

Atalanta make another impressive performance after eliminating Liverpool as most favorite team will lead to final round, being draw against Marseille and good achievement for away match. Atalanta will most offensive on second leg with home match and making the first history appearance teams for Europe League participants success reach to final round.

The way I’m feeling right now I think this season's Europa League is for Leverkusen because the way the remaining teams are performing is not giving any sign of them winning the league title, Atlanta tried their best yesterday by ending the game draw, Atlanta still have another chance to qualify for the final stage if they play well in the second leg of the match, but as for Roma, Roma is already out of the league, the first leg, they got defeated with 2 goals by Leverkusen and the game was played in Roma field, we all know how good Leverkusen is, if they did not win the second leg match they will end up ending it draw.

The second leg of the game of Atlanta against Marseille and Roma against Leverkusen, those matches will not be easy for the Serie A team both Atlanta and Roma because they are both playing the second leg of the match in a way stages so is better for them to decide what they can do in the next match to qualify to next stage, Atlanta can try but for me, Roma is out of the league.
