Liverpool remain the favorite for most people to collect the Europa in the pool here but it just a surprise that they were beaten with 3 goals down by Atalanta in today's match. If Liverpool is to qualify further Liverpool needs to beat Atalanta 3 or more goal at Atalanta's home and this really look impossible. I'm sure Atalanta will come to this match with more of defence. Liverpool's match today has really predicted their hope in the Europa league.

Liverpool tried hard on the pitch but were very weak in attack. The more attacks you notice, the defenders of the Atalanta team are very experienced and the Liverpool team is not able to score because of the good defense. The more attacks the Liverpool team suffered because their defenders were not good enough to defend the attack. Liverpool had 70% possession of the ball for most of the match, and had 19 shots on goal in total. Liverpool were a strong team in any aspect but missed goals a lot, which is why they lost this match.

It will be difficult for Liverpool to come back and win these games after already losing by these plenty goals in the first leg. Atalanta still have to finish these tasks up by making sure they push Liverpool out. Liverpool was not expected to struggle in this competition, it was expected that they get to the finals alongside Leverkusen, but It does not look like it will just happen as predicted.
Leverkusen have a remarkable record this season, they have shown determination to keep it that way. The team will be able to make it to the finals.

I am very curious now as I was the one who said the games have to be played first and then we can see whether all the cliches will remain true.

Who would've predicted that Atalanta will come to Anfield and leave with a 3:0 win in a UEFA Europa League quarter final game this season. The result of the game without doubt is a huge surprise to fans of both clubs and to football fans across the globe in general. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be blaming himself right now for his selection of the starting XI which o think was done to keep some of the club's best players fit enough for their English Premier League game of the weekend. Liverpool defense tonight were completely toothless and awful to watch as most of their defensive decisions and moves tonight were that of an amateur defense line who are probably playing in the National League division. To turn the deficit when Liverpool travel to Italy for the second leg without doubt will be a very difficult task for them but I think the team is still capable of coming back into the tie.

I wanna laugh by seeing liverpool's score as it was showing ho garbage the performance from liverpool even at the anfield. It was very pathetic performance for sure. As i predicted if atalanta was playing dominant defensive instead of attacking. It's caused by it was putting around 7 players to stay at in front of the goal keeper.
Liverpool played like shit in this game and yeah the chance to win the competition is almost zero for liverpool. Having three goals aggregate by playing at home is so amaazing result for liverpool. The fans are getting upset caused by this horrible performance.

Where the heck is salah? he doesn't seem to appear in this game and i rated him so low. Atalanta was doing very good job. I do like atalanta caused by it can play a well defensive strategy like that. Even liverpool can do nothing at home against atalanta.
The result shocked everyone for sure and im strongly believe it's going to be even better than before. Good job atalanta. liverpool was overconfident in this game. It will be trophyless this season as king city will get treble winners again.

I really didn't expect Atalanta to succeed in tarnishing Liverpool record at Anfield, besides that we have to correct previous words, where we pretty much said that the Reds were the favorite team to win. Atalanta really surprised me, the 3-0 score was really extraordinary. This is the European League, a place where absurd surprises occur.

I'm sure many bettors experienced defeat in that match, because before the match started everyone believed Liverpool could win the match easily. On the other hand, it could be that Klopp is prioritizing the Premier League to win, but there is still one more leg in the future to create a surprise.

Atalanta managed to play effectively, even though the Serie A representatives did not dominate possession of the ball, they managed to carry out a typical Italian strategy of dominantly defending and relying on counter attacks. Liverpool have experienced the biggest disaster this season, it was quite difficult to turn things around in the second leg because they were 3 goals behind.

It’s not easy playing Leverkusen at home, i had no doubt in them because they have the best record in Europe currently and with the Bundesliga almost secured they don’t have much worries and they have all the time to focus on the UEFA Europa League. They have managed to win the first leg but it’s not a guarantee that they have progressed to the next round, West Ham might have something in store for them at their home. Playing West Ham in England will not be easy but they have all the advantage already.

It will definitely be difficult to come back from this especially when they will be visiting Atlanta at home. The game is not yet over but i believe Atlanta will make it even more difficult for them in Italy. They have only comeback against Barcelona so it not whaat they are used to and also we. Cannot compare the squad against Barcelona with this one.

If you look at the match statistics, Liverpool is indeed much more dominant in various ways, especially in possession of the ball which is more than 70%. This indicates that Liverpool are actually very ready for this match. However, Atalanta played much more effectively. Just think, from less than 30% of ball control, but the attacks are quite a lot. And almost approaching Liverpool's attack. What's more, Atalanta even had 7 shots on target, while Liverpool only had 5. This is what makes Atalata increasingly watched by Liverpool. But it seemed like it was too late because Atalanta were able to win against Liverpool who were playing at home with 3 goals. This is truly extraordinary for Atalanta.

I was surprised but after looking at the team that Liverpool used for the match I understood why they lost. It seems that klopp wants to win the premier league and not interested in the Europa cup. This is going to be his last season coaching Liverpool therefore he wants to win the premier league for them but he should be careful before he loses everything. He should not look down on any competitions and play his best in all competition so he can leave Liverpool with silverwares. The premier league is going to be hard for him to win but he could win the Europa cup therefore for the returning leg, he should start a stronger team and try to progress to the next stage of the competition. Liverpool were very poor against Atalanta. It has being long that I saw a club play Liverpool at home to disgrace them.

The tonight's Liverpool home defeat by Atlanta has left Liverpool with a gigantic task in their next week's second leg game.
This I think is Liverpool's first home defeat since February 2023 if I'm not wrong, and obviously, it was such a humiliating home defeat to the extent that they couldn't even get a single goal at Anfield Station. The lost was as a result of the coach underating the capability of their visitors Atlanta in this game, and Liverpool got a shocken defeat .

No doubts as I'm even a victim of the situation Liverpool has cost most gamblers to night. s most of us anticipated a possible win for Liverpool or worse off a draw but then they couldn't even secure a goal and even more to win the game above all the played in their home making it more reasons why they shouldn't have lost without getting a chance to score a goal,  i even thought they were going to win without stressing.

Atlanta made me felt like all the losses and poor perform they had against Weaker teams was just a way of distracting people from their actual abilities and even their performance and so it was the a quiet tough one for Liverpool, just when they must have taught just like most gamblers did that Liverpool was going to win or possibly going to draw them with a good number of goals but then it turned out Liverpool was unable to secure a goal, even if as gamblers you bet that Liverpool was going to get goal or more could actually end up loosing out in their predictions aswell.

Not like Liverpool has got a really weak defense but i think in the fact that they were going to play a team they probably didn't regard so much to be able to win them and probably win them with this month difference. The difference was just too much and Atlanta ended up throwing most of the fans and supporters in to. Serious shock as we expected much less of them but they did beyond our expectations.

Atalanta isn't that top as they used to be in Italy. Just few days ago they were beaten by Cagliari in Serie A and just before they were defeated by Fiorentina in Coppa Italia. Mind you both these teams aren't ok.
Here there is double surprise, the defeat of one of the contenders for the title in their home and the defeat by a large score which is worrying. I wonder what they can do in the second leg in Bergamo!

Milan lost too in their home without scoring any goal. I expected them to win and to score Turned out Lukaku has a good header in the defence

What kind of a match was this? It's a good thing I stayed away from betting. After Bayern Leverkusen, my favorite team for the quarter-finals was Liverpool and the opponent they defeated was Atalanta, and they conceded three goals. I'm still surprised how this happened. Even though Atalanta had around 30% of the ball throughout the match, they had accurate shots on target in their attacks and today they were very serious.

Liverpool's defense was surprised at what happened, Van Dijk will have a hard time sleeping tonight until he realizes what happened.

I'm still in shock, who would have believed Atalanta will deal with Liverpool this way, even for Liverpool at their worst performance I still don't expect them to end the game with this kind of performance, it's unlike them, Liverpool really let me down on this one. Despite all, we know football as something at some level becomes unpredictable, the game is over, the winner still remains only left for Liverpool to improve so they do not fall off again. Atlanta has a good stats, 6 games played, 4 games won and 2 draws with no loss, quite an impressive performance, Liverpool should have been the ones to break the no loss streak but messed the whole opportunity.

This match was beyond everyone's predictions. I'm sure Liverpool's loss in this match caused many gamblers to lose their bets, including me. I also didn't expect Liverpool to lose so badly like this that they couldn't score a single goal even though this match was played in front of their own supporters. Maybe Liverpool are too favorites to win the Europa League trophy this season, which makes them too confident and underestimate their opponents. Just look at the line-up that Klopp fielded in this match, he really underestimated Atalanta.

For me the Liverpool coach had to pay a heavy price with this defeat because he underestimated Atalanta too much, he came out to play the game with substitutes and when he wanted to win it he brought on the starters and it was too late. The reason is that Atalanta are used to this game and when the score was 0-2 it made them calmer, which made Liverpool panic and finally Atalanta scored another goal which made the score 0-3.

Since Atlanta is under so much pressure from Liverpool, I honestly didn't think they could defeat them, therefore this is an unexpected outcome from Liverpool. Because even when we only consider possession, Liverpool was ahead of them; nonetheless, the fact that Atlanta led in goals and Liverpool only led in possession was a very disappointing outcome for Liverpool. The thing that surprises people the most about Liverpool is that, despite being one of the hardest teams this season, but they made a huge mistake against Atlanta in the Europa League. They greatly disappointed the fans with their poorly performance.

for Liverpool it made no sense to face the match in 100% psychophysical condition when they are already practically certain of having a place in the next champion league and when they still have the possibility of winning the premier league.

I expected Atalanta to win even if with a smaller margin of goals.

Majority of people we’re surprised to see the match ending in a comfortable position for Atlanta, the major thing of surprise was the fact that the humbling was at Anfield, yes football is a game of Loss and win, but not any club can boost to go to Anfield to score three goals. The Anfield is more like a sacred place for an opponent win. Now Atlanta can go home with a comfortable lead. Yes I have seen Liverpool overturn a 3-0 result before In European competition but was done in their own stadium. I doubt the same will happen now away from home.

As for the other game, the other English team Westham also lost to the most inform team in the all of Europe, the game was a great one considering how WestHam defended but another master class by Xabi Alonso changed the score. Alonso brought on both Boniface and Hoffman and they both scored the goals which put Alonso boys in a comfortable position coming to Olympic Stadium.

Klopp this season if we are to judge him based on team selection and substitutions made, he has been well above average, and because of that, he will have a high confidence in his ability when making selections because of the success that his previous selections and tactics achieved. Klopp would have had it at the back of his mind that he was making the right choices for this game with team selection, and also to rest his key players who he needs in the EPL, but he got it all wrong today.

Klopp exhausted all his substitutions, but still could not get a goal. Crystal Palace is the team they play next in the EPL, if they loose, they have lost the EPL and almost all the possibility to win it.
