That's the thing with football; do not underestimate any team and I think Liverpool are responsible for their loss because right from the beginning, they kept making chances that were half hearted, feeling that they can rectify it since it's their ground and as they have been known to come back from under to win the game, it didn't shake them when Gianluca Scamacca scored the first goal. The crazy thing about Jurgen Klopp's men performance yesterday is that they managed to be the only English team that was sorely humiliated by an Italian opposition at their home in the Europa league game. Atalanta made the extraordinary look normal in that match as they literally silenced Liverpool, leaving them to grasp at straws and putting yet another thing to worry about on Jurgen Klopp's mind.
 When they meet Atalanta on the 18th, they will have to score four goals to retain their place in the tournament else and with the Atalanta played so bravely while away and managed to take three goals from their hosts, what will they do when they play hosts? A goal fiesta maybe? I guess this is where Klopp will have to draw the curtain on the Europa league competition and focus his sights on the league so it doesn't become a situation of losing both while trying to salvage one.

Liverpool suffered an incredible defeat. Actually, it would not be right to say that they played poorly in the match, but they could not score a goal and therefore their chances of being eliminated in the quarter-finals are now quite high. Atalanta made good use of the opportunities and scored 3 goals, this will be a huge advantage for them.
If they can score 1 goal in the next match, they will make great progress in getting out of this tour. We were all surprised, but we need to congratulate Atalanta

Yesterday was a day of loss for many gamblers including myself. Liverpool failed to live up to expectations and they will most likely not qualify. Atalanta surprised everybody and the next time Liverpool hears the name Gianluca Scamacca, the man that scored the first and second goal, they will shiver to their marrow. What I expected from this match was the opposite of the result and with this outcome, it is possible that Jogen Klopp will not be receiving any goodbye trophy.

This was a terrible mistake that Klopp made whose correction will not be easy. Liverpool is a team that cannot be easily written off but going to Atalanta to beat them 0-4 is something I doubt will happen. In football it is not always good to underestimate an opponent especially at the level the competition have gone to.

Could a coach of this level really make the mistake of underestimating his opponent at the quarterfinal stage? It is obvious that he was convinced that Atalanta would be an easy opponent for them, otherwise I cannot explain the fact that Salah and Diaz started this match on the bench. Perhaps Salah has not yet fully recovered from his injury and Klopp decided to take care of him, but Atalanta turned out to be much stronger.

And if you say that for Klopp the Premier League is a priority, then why did they reach the quarterfinals and play so weakly? It seems to me that with this approach you can be left with nothing, when you start choosing one thing, then in the end everything can fall apart like a house of cards.

I'm shocked by Liverpool's performance in yesterday's Europa League quarterfinal; the most unexpected part was how Atlanta defeated Liverpool in Anfied Stadium, which is Liverpool Stadium. To be honest, Liverpool played a very bad game yesterday; they played like a team that isn't playing well this season, but what surprises me the most is how Atlanta defends their home field and prevents Liverpool from scoring goals. Imagine the Liverpool that we all know; prior to the game, I was praising Liverpool as if they were the greatest team in the world. The second leg will take place in Atlanta, and despite Atlanta's outstanding performance yesterday, Liverpool will not win.

The second surprise was the match between Roma and AC Milan. This means that Roma cannot be defeated by AC Milan, and that Roma is struggling to play well enough to qualify for the champions league the following season. Roma is also losing a lot in the serie A league. I am at a loss for words regarding AC Milan's performance yesterday; they may try because the game ended with 1-0, and they may show up in the second leg of the match, but they need to be cautious and perform exceptionally well there to avoid finishing the season without any trophies.

The other reason can be because Klopp want to rest some of his main key players because his team is also competing for the EPL title. Looking at the starting 11 for the Europa League, I can say that Klopp's main priority is the EPL title.  Maybe he was also thinking that his team will be able to beat Atalanta although without all the best players but unfortunately the decision is not working well and gave him a lose with big goal difference. Although there will be still a chance to make come back in the 2nd leg, but they should do all the best to make it come true.

Big loss for Liverpool. This will have an effect on their league form as well as they will start to doubt themselves. If they lost at home to Atalanta, what is stopping Crystal Palace from visiting in the weekend and leaving with something as well? Klopp has a big job to get his team out of the ditch and focus them on the match ahead and also rebuild their confidence.

The revere fixture will be very exciting to watch.

Imagine the shock of the fans who bet on Liverpool to win at 1.3. By comparison, Atalanta's odds were 8.4.
So everyone believed in Liverpool and bookmakers and fans and statistics said that they should win, because for the whole history it seems to be only the third time when Liverpool concede more than 3 goals on their field.
The event is historic for both Atalanta and Liverpool. In general, I have not seen such a helpless Liverpool for a long time, in the first half it was obvious that they tried, but again could not realize their chances, then Klopp decided to release their best players, but this time did not help, Salah also did not save this game.
Tough defeat for Liverpool, who now need to score 4 unanswered goals to go further.

Liverpool fell behind in the first half. This is why Atalanta's players were able to perform well in the first half and take a 1-0 lead. And after a good first-half performance, Atalanta's players were very confident. Therefore, they were able to continue their good performance in the second half as well. In this match, Atalanta's players managed to have only 30% of the ball possession. However, Atalanta's players managed to make some excellent attacks and scored three goals.

Liverpool was one of the favorites for the Europa League title. However, after the 3-0 home defeat, I don't think Liverpool have any chance of qualifying for the next round. My guess is that Leverkusen or Roma will win this year's Europa League.

This is another reminder to you that football isn't mathematics. I predicted Liverpool to win that match, I staked on it too and lost. From the start of the match the coach made a terrible mistake by resting the types of M. Salah, L.Diaz and other key converting players, only to bring them in when a lot of damages have been done and the Atlanta players confidence is high above the heavens.

Liverpool lost well meaning chances that would've demoralized Atlanta and get them struggling to get their balance in the match earlier in the game, they were shooting without target, mostly going over the post. Not only that I lost my stakes, I'm really disappointed with the whole team for that kind of performance. The most annoying goal was the second one, they left Scamarca un marked in their own box 18, like what the heck?.

This is the end of the road for them because Atlanta  would be least merciful in their return leg.

Unbelievable with Liverpool as favorite team for winning Europe League this season have loss on first leg match over 0-3 at Anfield Stadium, its not good capital for facing second leg match and Liverpool must winning above four goals if won't eliminated in quarter final round. I think Jurgen Klopp over confidence by saving some main players from Mohamad Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, Andy Robertson and Luiz Diaz. Make several change on second half but not effective yet and Liverpool must improving hard their performance on second leg match if want qualify to next round.

Other quarter final leg match, AS Roma get the positive result after defeating AC Milan and get more advantage with second legs match will play on their home, need get draw or secure the winning result will make fantastic with Daniele De Rossi success bring Roma qualify to semifinal round and has chance to repeat AS Roma achievement under Jose Mourinho era qualified to final round.

I didn't watch the match because of time zone, and thought about watching it but was quite surprised when I saw the score where Liverpool were trailing 0-1 and was even more surprised when Atalanta managed to score the second goal and things got worse because Liverpool conceded for the third time.
Liverpool only controlled the ball but they forgot to defend their defense well and Atalanta, who only had a small share of ball possession, could be more effective because they faced Liverpool's fragile defense.
I doubt Liverpool will be able to catch up from 0-3 in the second leg or even win with a 4 goal margin because for Atalanta they will be even more motivated to make a place in the semifinals.
The situation faced by Liverpool is almost the same as two seasons ago where they had opportunities in several competitions but slowly lost them all, after being eliminated in the FA Cup, and there was a big chance that in the European league, they would also be eliminated, leaving the English Premier League to become champions.

Liverpool lost this match due to underestimating Atalanta team. Atalanta team was not in good form. Atalanta have won just one of their last 5 matches in Serie A. And lost all three matches. The team's performance was very poor. Perhaps this is why Liverpool coach Klopp did not take the Atalanta team seriously. Such a mistake was not expected from an experienced coach like Klopp.

There is no doubt that Aatalanta's players performed well in this match. They exploited every weakness in Liverpool's players. Atalanta got a 1-0 lead in the first half. Scamacca performed well in this match. He scored two goals.

This was unexpected, even for Klopp. He made some mistakes by not fielding their strongest 11, underestimating Atlanta. The starting lineup didn't seem confident about winning, unfortunately their changes didn't work out, which leading to disaster at home. But is there any excuse of their weak defense and attack? Of-course not. It was errors from Liverpool's side and poor defending. Every time Atlanta attacked, they looked like they would score. It was an off night for Liverpool, and their performance is a concern for the Premier League. Well played, Atlanta.

It is already quite hard to pick one game and watch that over at UCL when you have two at a time, but here at Europa it's even four at a time. UEFA must realize that they are literally losing money because of this, I am not saying put every game on a different date, but at least spread it around a bit, that way you could have less games per day.

When you put them all into a single day, people have to pick a game and just watch that, plus you could even make hours very different, hence even on a single day, you could have four different games, just have one start at afternoon if you want to. This situation should be fixed asap with the new league format, or we are going to see even more games all on the same day and less viewership because of it.

There is no doubt that many gamblers lost money on Liverpool's win. But I restrained myself from betting on the match. Because I thought Liverpool are now more busy to win the Premier League title. Their main target is to secure the Premier League title. So I wasn't sure if Liverpool would give their full effort in the Europa League match.

Klopp probably thought they could win against Atalanta with the second row of players. This was Liverpool's biggest mistake. Atalanta team should not be underestimated by Liverpool. However, we saw a very poor performance from Liverpool's defenders. Liverpool would not have been beaten badly if the defenders had done well.

I have the same feeling and can't accept that Liverpool will lose against Atalanta by such a big margin. I never expected Liverpool to play so badly and lose the match, maybe Liverpool's luck was so bad in this match that they didn't perform well. The Atlanta team was exciting from start to finish which made the match much more interesting but Liverpool team could not concede a goal to the opposition despite hundreds of attempts. Losing by a huge margin in the quarter-finals is not a good sign for Liverpool, of course, they are under a lot of pressure after losing the first leg of the match. Liverpool put in a very impressive performance and they squandered their chances, perhaps the worst players for Liverpool who could not attack very well. Losing by 0-3 goal it hurt Liverpool fans a lot as most people thought Liverpool would win with a bigger goal margin but it turned out to be the opposite. I think Liverpool have wasted their chance and they may not win the next match with such a big score so their chances of winning the title this season are very slim.

There were lots of surprises that happened in the Europa League today in Liverpool's match against Atalanta and also Milan against Roma, I didn't expect the 2 host clubs to experience quite painful defeats and what surprised me even more was that Liverpool lost badly to Atalanta with a score of 3:0 even though Many people made Liverpool the favorite to win the match with a big score but it turned out they had to suffer an unexpected defeat at home. The same thing also happened to Milan who were beaten by Roma with a score of 1:0. I think Liverpool and Milan are over in this round. because they will play the second leg at their opponent's home ground and victory will be difficult for them to achieve and their chances of qualifying for the semifinals are a little small.

Everyone's hopes of watching Liverpool play the final with Leverkusen have vanished because it seems Liverpool cannot reach the final, even though Liverpool can still counterattack in the second leg but at least Liverpool can score 4 goals at home to their opponent and Atalanta cannot increase their total aggregate so Liverpool is still can advance to the semifinals but if they can't Liverpool will be eliminated. It's true that the European League is full of surprises. Clubs that are initially favorites don't necessarily survive until the end.

A defeat is not too terrible but a big defeat like is damn terrible. If Liverpool did not get a third conceded goal, their chance looks to be better but with three goals like this, Atalanta currently hold very big advantage for a second match.

They will start a second match with defensive style and wait for chances to do counter attack. The gate for Liverpool will close if they let Atalanta score one goal in a second leg match. Only Klopp can know why he did not use strongest attacking players for this match. Salah was used only in a second half after Atalanta led one goal after the first half but unfortunately the appearance of Salah could not help Liverpool.

If it is not a plan from Klopp and Liverpool to sacrifice Europa League for Premier League. It seems now is a good time for Liverpool to fully focus on Premier League.

I know that seems impossible to Atalanta win when meet Liverpool at Anfield, but in football, the miracle and surprise that will happen even Liverpool controls 70% of the ball possession. I tried it last night and managed to get that miracle (9.20 odds) win
