You cannot rule Milan out of the race, because they are currently in a good form, if not that they were inconsistent last year after some few matches, which make us forget about them. Currently, if you look at Milan performance, they are in form and they also have the chance of winning Europa this season.

Liverpool and Leverkusen are very strong and if these two clubs don't clash before the finals, they will definitely meet in the finals but if they meet before the finals, then we will only see one of them in the finals. Milan has already qualified to the next round due to the victory that they had against Nantes yesterday.

Roma actually performed wonderfully especially in the second half but the first half was kinda messy. During the second half, there was team coordination and several chances were created despite that it wasn't all successful. It was a draw game but that match performance was beyond the scoreline. It actually gave a right vibe of watching football with some fantastic actions. We finally saw a team play from them despite it doesn't last for the whole game but at least, it runs and wasn't limited to horizontal passes between defenders like they used to do before. They hold the field, play excellently and then equal the scoreline. The return leg will determine the best among them. Roma is the favorite of course, but Feyenoord too can not be taken for granted because even last year they beat Roma at home if I am not wrong. I hope history should not repeat itself again this year.

Both teams performed very well in this match. Both played to win. I agree with you that Galatasaray were very lucky in this match. This is why the team managed to secure 3 points.

After Vector Nlsson received a red card in the 62nd minute I thought galatasaray would not win the match. The team conceded a goal in the 65th minute. However, in the 80th minute, Sparta Prague's player Rynes got a red card to equalize the match. And Galatasaray was very lucky. After 90 minutes, the team took a 3-2 lead in the match by scoring in injury time. It is expected that the match of the second leg will be as exciting. Because both groups are almost equally strong.

It surprised everyone here in Croatia as well since Dinamo has been horrendous in national championship (currrently only 3rd, while they won 17 championship in the last 18 seasons) and everyone would sign minimum defeat before the game. AS Roma seems not comfortable position for second leg match after draw result against Feyenoord, seems still crucial for AS Roma although on second leg match will playing as home match but its can't guarantee get easily defeat Feyenoord. The winning teams on second leg match will qualify to next round and both teams still has the same opportunity and Feyenoord not get pressure yet how to play as away match for winning and qualify to 16 round.

Roma is seem like they wil gradual improve to being a better team in the Europa again this season, they have so far been performing a little above average and there's much more improvement in their results as compared to that which they have he's with their former boss Jose Mourinho who was relief of his job recently.

I still can't see Roma as a top contender for the Europa league title regardless of this their recent improved performance that is giving them good results as they have had recently, but Rossi deserves some commendations as to how well he's performed recently. Liverpool and Leverkusen still remains my favourite to winning the title by the end of the season because they both still reaming un shaking and strong in their form and performance so far and I can say they are both doing well in their various domestic leagues aswell too.

So true, the good thing if roma was getting draw away and this gives more opportunity for roma to perform even better in the second leg. Roma needs to learn properly the strategy owned by feyenoord. Even though roma will be playing at home in the second leg but the club must always be careful with it.
I won't underestimate the performance from feyenoord but this club can also make a miracle to happen in the second leg. Roma must be careful when it faces the second leg coz this is gonna be even far harder compared to the last season.

Roma is still having good chance to win the second leg. It's gonna be a very good match to determine the result from this match. im feeling that if roma will be winning the game soon. Btts is most likely to happen. Roma must be performing even better compared to the last season.
It's on the right track to be qualified for the next round. This gives roma another hope as long as it will able to beat feyenoord in the second leg. Time for rossi to show if he was worthy enough to be a coach.

The way Roma played against Feyenoord wasn't as terrible as i was thinking. After Feyenoord scored the first goal in the first half, I thought that would be the end of the match because they are not a weak opponent as well. You are correct, I believe that Roma's performance under Danielle De Rossi has not been poor, the reason they lost to Inter Milan was simply that they lacked the strength of competing with Inter Milan. With Roma's present form i think they have chance to advance to the next round after defeating Feyenoord in the second leg, but they shouldn't underestimate Feyenoord's play because both teams need to win in order to qualify.


I know that Sparta Prague will make it difficult for Galatasaray to win the game, but I don't think Galatasaray will concede more than one goal. However, if the game hadn't been ruined by a red card, Galatasaray would have win before the last minute. If it weren't for M. Rynes, a Sparta Prague player who was also sent off during the 80 minutes of play, Galatasaray wouldn't be able to win the game with 10 players.

AC Milan has a great opportunity to progress further in the Europa League this season, AC Milan priority scale has now changed and will focus more on the Europa League, because in Serie A it is no longer possible to overtake Inter Milan. Stefano Pioli has good squad depth, Which can increase their chances of winning trophies, and AC Milan has good experience when competing in European competitions. AC Milan managed to finish the first leg match easily against Rennes, In the second Leg it is possible that AC Milan will also win. Liverpool and Leverkusen are the favorite Teams, and i think AC Milan also deserves to be included in the list.

On the other hand, De Rossi has not been able to make AS Roma appear consistent in winning, but signs of Improvement have begun to appear at the start of his tenure. De Rossi still needs flying hours to gain more recognition, that he is worthy of replacing the role left by Mourinho. In my opinion, he needs some time to Adapt to the AS Roma squad, and their opportunity to qualify for the last 16 of the Europa League is still open, because they will act as hosts where Feyenoord will have difficulty beating them.

I agree, Galatasaray was not good in last night game with things were more troubled while they were playing with 10 players even I was expecting hard fought match for the both teams but once I realize Sparta can win as well but second red card change the match momentum, and we have won for the Galatasaray which is still now in trouble because second leg match will be not easy while they will go to Prague, and they need to work on defense which is giving too many chances to opponents for scoring goals.

Now they are at the top in Super League and also need to work on their team for the league as well which will give them good reward in this season and also in next season as well while they will be played for the Champions League qualification.

This mtch was interesting because both clubs showed a balanced performance in my opinion, and both clubs even dared to appear more open and didn't just play waiting and being careful. Galatasaray was quite lucky because they managed to secure victory in the final minutes with 1 goal that they managed to score. Actually, I was quite worried when they got a red card in the 62nd minute, and it was proven that they immediately conceded a goal 3 minutes later. However, their opponents also received a red card which made the match return to a draw.
Galatasaray is not yet in a completely safe condition, because in the second meeting they will appear as the visiting team, and clearly that is an advantage for Sparta Prague. I wonder if they will perform like this or more to secure the advantage they have in this match, but that is quite risky too because with the pressure they will continue to receive, it is feared that there will be a gap open.

De Rossi has real brought improvements to this Roma side as he’s shown in his first few matches in charge. He was defeated at home by Inter Milan which is quite understandable because of the strength and depth of the Inter Milan squad. This defeat led the way to his 2nd test against Feynoord and he’s tried to get a drAw from that match. That draw has now given the fans the hope that De Rossi can be a better coach to the team than Jose and he has something to offer.

 This draw is also some sort of confidence on their Europa League expectation as they can now get a win at the 2nd leg. De Rossi will have to formulate a great strategy to help them get success to the next stage of this competition and I think he can do it. Him bringing Roma to a top 4 finish in the league will mean he can offer something great to the club in the next season and I’m enjoying how he’s improving with this squad.

I consider Galatasaray as one of the favorites for the Europa League title. This team is strong enough. Galatasaray is now at the top of the Turkish Super Lig table. This group is strong. And the players in the squad have the ability to score a lot of goals. However, the team has several weaknesses. One of them is that Galatasaray's defense is a bit weak.

Galatasaray's performance against Sparta Praha was very good. Sparta Praha was not a weak team. However, Sparta Praha won the home match 3-2. But still the next round is not sure for Galatasaray. Sparta Praha players will definitely try their best to beat Galatasaray at home. The second leg match looks to be more competitive.

Leverkusen and Liverpool will destroy them.

The Italians' performance were declining since 2010, when football become more modern and strategy is more important. In this generation, there are not many strong players, the current strong players are nothing if we compare with 2000's players.

Now things are going into positive way for the Roma specially this match against Feyenoord give them good booster for the next matches because there were too much hype about their performance in this match with Feyenoord is good team currently but Roma and De Rossie done good job and hold them for the draw which is impressive now in last five games they are having 3 wins 1 lost and 1 draw which is acceptable for the fans and management as well in coming matches we can expect improvement which will give them good chance for the staying into Serie A and also having good chance for fighting hard for the fourth spot.

After end of the first half, Feyenoord were leading and my personal view was also they will go through for the win with 2–0 or 3–0,but Roma strategy works, and they fight back which give them good draw, and now they could be in advantage for the game and qualification for the next round as well.

In last 25 years we have no Europa Cup winner from the Italy with last time winner is Inter Milan which won this title in 1998 and after this we have two runner ups once Inter Milan and once Roma so now it's time to change things for them and having winner because we have two strong contenders Roma and AC Milan which are capable of changing this trend and having win in this event in last game Milan done good performance and go through with good margin, but Roma is having some trouble but still they are also good to go for the second leg game with no problem.

Things are not easy but still we can expect changes can happen because recently we have good performance from the Italian sides, and they are improving their performance and quality which is important so can they bring change, or we have to wait for another season it's going to be not easy for anyone to give perfect prediction.

Loftus-Cheek is in like his golden age these days.    Since the day he joined Milan he has already been promising. Recently his performance level reached a way higher level. He is productive as a striker and he scored 2 more goals in the Rennes game as well. Milan got such a comfortable win thanks to him and we can say they are almost through the next round.

I think Galatasaray - Sparta Prague was one of the most enjoyable games of the day. Galatasaray's weaknesses in defense helped Sparta Prague stay in the game every time they got behind by one goal. But Icardi had the last word anyway. I don't think Sparta Prague can eliminate Galatasaray anyway.

yesterday's game involving benfica against toulouse, was a game in which I hoped that benfica would be able to win without having great difficulties, that's because toulouse is not doing well in the French league, they currently occupy position number 14 and were coming to this game with only 2 wins in the last 5 games in the French league, against Benfica who are currently in position number 2 in the Portuguese league, so I expected more from Benfica. But what I saw was Benfica who won thanks to 2 penalties and conceded 1 goal, opening up space so that Toulouse could reverse this disadvantageous scenario in the second leg game at Toulouse's home. Honestly, Benfica has been a huge disappointment in European competitions

Another game involving a Portuguese team was Braga's game against Qarabag. despite qarabag being a strong team in the Azerbaijan league to the point that they are at the top of the Azerbaijan league, the difference in quality between the Portuguese league in relation to the Azerbaijan league is still big, that's why I expected braga to be managed to get a good result in this game mainly because Braga was playing at home. But on the field what I saw was a great disaster in which Braga was massacred in defense, Qarabag has a very effective attack and I am convinced that Qarabag will also win in the second leg. I don't see Braga being able to reverse the current scenario

Another game involving a team from Portugal was Sporting's game against Young Boys, in that game Sporting did very well and managed to score 3 goals and conceded just 1 goal against an opponent who is the leader in their league, I consider this result from Sporting as being a good result. In the second leg, Sporting will play at home and with an advantage, so Sporting has a greater chance of progressing to another stage. They just need to play well like they did in yesterday's game, the young boys lost 1 important defensive player because they received a red card, that's something good for Sporting in the second leg game

As a Galatasaray fan, I can say that the game ended very well for us while not as expected at the same time. The left back we just recently bought wasn't on time for Europa registration window, and Aurier is still missing due to injury at the finals at afcon. Berkan played left back, Abdulkerim was once again did not started, he came back but it was obvious that his injury is still bothering him or just not recovered fully yet, so he doesn't want to push it too much. With three main defenders, and no backs, I wonder if we could play three defenders? I mean just put in Abdulkerim, Nelsson and Sanchez together there, with 5 midfielders, and two strikers, a classic 3-5-2. You could have zaha and tete at wings, and you could have mertens, kerem demirbay and torreira at the middle. With new striker Vinicious and Icardi at the striker position. This would prevent the wing back issues at least.

Leaving strategy aside, I expected a comfortable win, we did not get a comfortable one, and even though it wasn't an easy one, I felt quite happy because we got the win in a spectacular fashion.

This big win secures a spot for AC Milan and they will have easy task for a second leg match. A draw will be enough for AC Milan to get rid of Rennes and move next. Even losing 0 - 2 will help AC Milan to go next but it's safest if they aim at a draw to avoid any potential shock from Rennes.

I really don't believe Rennes will have enough power to beat AC Milan and win big like 2 or 3 goals in difference sounds to be impossible.

That is an important win for Galatasaray but it is a hard win for them. This hard win signals that Galatasaray will have many difficulties in a second leg match because they will play home-away. Galatasaray played well in Champions League but they were unluckily deranked to Europa League. They will not want to be kicked out of Europa League after winning a first leg after learning hard lesson in Champions League.
