Even though Leverkusen failed to win the Europa League, their performance this season was truly extraordinary, the only defeat Leverkusen experienced this season was when they were defeated by Atalanta in the final match. Event after incident that occurred in the Europa League this season has presented many surprises, initially it was predicted that Liverpool or Leverkusen would come out as champions in this competition, but this prediction was immediately swept away due to the surprise presented by Atalanta.

Next season Leverkusen and Atalanta will appear in the Champions League, maybe other teams will present surprises in the Europa League in a different way. Hopefully the Europa League will still remain competitive even though many of the strong teams competing here will move up to the Champions League.

It was unfortunately that Leverkusen did not win Europa finals but that did not stop them from having a remarkable season. They were much successful last season than any other season because they won Bundesliga unbeaten. No one expected Atalanta to be the winner of last season Europa because they were underestimated.

I believe that next season Atalanta will try their best in Champions league and same with Leverkusen but I don't know if they can go far, because champions league is not the same with Europa, and in the previous seasons, Europa champions don't go far in UCL.

Even though that was the only defeat that Leverkusen got, it was actually a slightly embarrassing defeat when the Leverkusen players were clearly not ready to face Atalanta in the final round and this decreased self confidence caused Leverkusen difficulty in scoring.
I'm not saying Leverkusen is bad in the European league but defeat without any reply is a sign that Xabi team still has weaknesses in terms of the mentality of the players, even though they are very well prepared in the domestic league, but in the prestigious league the Leverkusen players still have a low mentality.
So from the start of the match I began to doubt that Leverkusen could win because looking at the playing style of the two teams and their very serious faces, it was clear that Atalanta was better prepared to face Leverkusen.

There is a possibility that in the future Atalanta or Leverkusen will not be able to compete in the group stage, I am very sure that these two teams will only persist consistently to be eliminated from the European league again and try to get a title in the European league because if for example Atalanta is able to qualify, they will look good in the UCL and Leverkusen is not able to compete in the UCL, this team has the opportunity to win the European league title when the opponent they will face is not a strong team.
But if later these two teams can continue to qualify for the higher rounds, Roma will be one of the candidates to hold the European league title.
