Many people choose Bayer Leverkusen because they have a brilliant record in the Bundesliga, but very few people remember Atalanta being able to embarrass Liverpool? I don't see Atalanta by chance qualifying for the final and winning the championship, but that Gasperini's troops were really able to be direct and compact enough that they succeeded in sinking Leverkusen with a big score of 3-0. Alonso has really learned quite a valuable lesson and he must be ready again to face another final in the DFB Pokal. Good luck again Leverkusen and congratulations to La Dea too!

Atalanta win the game was a big surprise and unexpected one, even before the game started many people had thought Bayer Leverkusen would be the winner of the game.  In first half of the game Atalanta dominated the game and scored 2 goals from look lookman and after the first half I was thinking Bayer Leverkusen would be a able to come back in the second half to lead the game just like how it has always happened to them in other goals but it was so sad that they couldn't happen. Bayer Leverkusen losing the game to Atalanta was not a bad one though,  because they are already champions in Bundesliga.

Congratulations to Atalanta and big win for lookman, I never believed Atalanta will go with title of the league. Bayer Leverkusen performance was not bad but they were unlucky and not able to create opportunities, I must say Atalanta performance was really great, good to see them in the Champions League next season.

I think the very painful defeat that Bayer Leverkusen experienced against Atalanta last night in the European final will be an important lesson for Xabi Alonso to improve the quality of his game next season, because he will play in the Champions League next season, of course there will be many big clubs who have a very high to compete for the Champions Trophy, and Bayer Leverkusen is still a good contender because they have a good squad and a coach who has extraordinary ideas.

This will be a big problem for Xabi Alonso to improve the mentality of his players so that something similar doesn't happen again, considering that they are still in the DFB Pokal final to be able to achieve victory and win the DFB Pokal.
Of course, with Bayer Leverkusen's defeat, many of us felt like we lost our bets last night.

Xabi Alonso didn't make many changes, they had fielded all their best players for the Europa League final match against Atalanta but Leverkusen seemed to have difficulty developing their game because Atalanta played quite well so Leverkusen didn't have a good opportunity to develop their best game.

This was a surprise but indeed Atalanta played well in the final match and they deserved to win the title, no one would have thought that Atalanta would be able to make Leverkusen suffer its first defeat of the season and win the Europa League title.

Many people lost their bets on this match, including me, but this is football, there are many unexpected things that happen, this is really a big surprise that happened in the Europa League this season.
Since the start of the season, Atalanta has not been the favorite but instead they managed to win the title, just like last season, the Europa League always presents big surprises and this season the big surprise occurred in the final match.

I don't see that Leverkusen has become complacent so they underestimated this final match, indeed Atalanta played very well so Leverkusen couldn't get out of the pressure to show their best performance.

Finally, Atalanta become the first team success defeating Bayern Leverkusen in this season and Leverkusen's record unbeaten until 51 matches all competition stopped. Unbelievable with Bayern Leverkusen is favorite team for winning Europe League got defeated by Atalanta over 3-0 and can't scoring any one goal. Ademola Lookman impressive well last night by scoring three goals and give the first UEFA Europe League trophy for Atalanta and become first trophy for Gian Piero Gasperini as his career manager.

Last night, Atalanta have quit well performance than Bayern Leverkusen although not full dominance with ball possession but Atalanta made many attempt than Leverkusen. The statistic last night Atalanta success make 10 shots with 7 on target than Bayern Leverkusen only have 3 shots on target although success creating 10 shots. I think tactician of Gian Piero Gasperini for winning the game without controlling ball possession but success playing more aggressive than Bayern Leverkusen less creativities making shot on target or attempt.

It's always Europa League who make big upset, really unpredictable.

I'm surprised how can Leverkusen's players didn't play really well, they only able to control the ball possession, but they're making many mistakes especially in long ball. Atalanta's players are really good for maximizing the counter attack moment. Lookman, out of nowhere player can score hattrick, he got spotlight in this match, probably few big teams will interested to try him.

Now Leverkusen's unbeatable 51 match record is over, I doubt there will be a team can reach it.

Things went quite the opposite way of my thinking last night.    I don't remember Leverkusen playing this horrible for a long time. I don't even know why Xabi Alonso wanted to start with a different kind of lineup.

I mean he didn't have Hradecky in the starting eleven. I checked his condition but he wasn't injured either. Instead he preferred his benched goalkeeper. In the same way, the attacking line duo were also Adli - Grimaldo. Just why do you keep Boniface - Schick duo among the substitutes? Leverkusen couldn't even make a good number of goal attempts. Congrats to Atalanta! This is a fully deserved trophy for them. 

Interestingly Leverkusen were too complacent...

As I said before, the final match is not an easy match to predict, Leverkusen are indeed favorites and I think many people who experienced losses in betting because of the their belief that Leverkusen will extend their unbeaten record are definitely regretting their decision today, Leverkusen defeat yesterday of course It's surprising to many people after they have been an undefeated team in their 51 matches and in a previous post I said that it was difficult to say that Atlanta would be easily defeated. To be honest, from before the match started, I was more inclined to see that Atlanta would win and could be the first team to break Leverkusen unbeaten record this season,because Atlanta performance in the European league has been extraordinarily good.

Currently, Atlanta has succeeded in winning the European League and of course this allows them to qualify for the Champions League next season by winning the European League, while leverkusen had to fail to maintain their unbeaten record in that match after Lookman hattrick also made Leverkusen fail to end the season with a treble winner , looking at Leverkusen mentality in the final, of course it is difficult to say if they will be able to compete in the Champions League next season which is filled with better teams than Atlanta next season.

I don't understand why Alonso rotated some of his players in last night's match, to be honest I didn't watch the match until the end. Only in the first half, I saw Leverkusen not playing their best performance. At first I thought that Alonso would play his Starting Eleven, but it turns out he changed his strategy. I don't know why Alonso did that, instead of winning this fight. in fact, Leverkusen did not play as they should. the defense is weak, and the midfielders don't usually work like last night's match. I spoke at half-time, because after the 2-0 to Atalanta I ended a spectacle that was no longer very interesting.

And what is certain is that Atalanta, a team that was initially not at all superior in this competition, was able to progress and win the Europa League. very unexpected, I mean their journey in this competition. in fact, Leverkusen were not given the opportunity to get a single bonus goal as a consolation. In other words, I don't have much to say about the battle between these two teams last night other than congratulations to Atalanta for winning the title in the 2023-24 Europa League competition.

Atalanta managed to play well from the first whistle and thus, Bayer Leverkusen seemed to be very nervous and thus, the problem factor is about the winning mentality. Even though previously Bayer Leverkusen managed to go without a defeat but still, basically Bayer Leverkusen still do not have enough experience to play in the final because they also do not have a winning mentality as a good capital or foundation. Moreover, when Lookman scored and I felt that there was no comeback Bayer Leverkusen could make in this final match. That's true, because in reality it really happened that Bayer Leverkusen were unable to turn things around as they had often done before and made comebacks in the final minutes of the match. So indeed, with this defeat at least Xabi Alonso's charm has ended, and it looks like next season Bayer Leverkusen will not be able to get the good results like they got this season.

I'm sure many people thought Leverkusen would win, including me, but in the early minutes I felt Leverkusen appeared nervous, it looked like they weren't really focused on the match, until Lookman was able to appear from behind suddenly and welcome the ball which could ultimately be a first goal for Atalanta, I thought Leverkusen would put more pressure on Atalanta but in reality it wasn't until the first half that Leverkusen was two goals behind. Of course, with Leverkusen already two goals behind, Xabi panicked. And also, in my opinion, here Leverkusen is more pressured by Atalanta.

and I think Leverkusen can turn things around by making a comeback like previous matches that happened like this, they were behind in the first half but they could turn things around in the second half. However, it turned out that in the second half Lookman scored another goal in the 76th minute with a strong left foot kick which allowed Atalanta to add another goal. and indeed I think Leverkusen's performance last night was a mess, they could barely penetrate Atalanta's defense. And I congratulate Atalanta on the victory, for Xabi himself I don't think this is the end of everything, he has tried well to be able to bring Leverkusen to this point. Once again congratulations to Atalanta. Because Atalanta is a team that can beat Leverkusen throughout Leverkusen's matches and has broken Leverkusen's unbeaten record.

So, the question is whether Bayer Leverkusen will be able to fight against big clubs in the Champions League, even though they have not been defeated at all in the Domestic League, but in reality in the Final match their mentality disappeared as if they had been swallowed by the earth.  Of course, many people don't believe in Bayer Leverkusen's defeat to Atalanta and the defeat of many parties on several gambling sites. Of course, the disappointment regarding everyone's bets is proof that public trust in the Leverkusen match is very high, so it is not surprising that there are many defeats in this match.

Well, we still have to appreciate Leverkusen. Because even though they ultimately lost in the European League Final to Atalanta. But they have also managed to amaze everyone before. Because they have never lost except by Atalanta yesterday. And Leverkusen has made new history as the team that has gone the longest without losing in one season.

And Atalanta really deserves to win the title in the European League. Because actually Atalanta has even had strong opponents since the quarter-finals. But Atalanta managed to continue to progress very smoothly. Even Liverpool and Marseille were unable to do much to Atalanta. And his peak achievement was lifting the Europa League trophy after stopping Leverkusen's unbeaten record.

Gasperini was the key to Atalanta success in beating Leverkusen with a landslide score. Leverkusen were not given the opportunity to reduce their deficit because the tactics used by Gasperini did not give the Leverkusen players the slightest space to break into their goal. Leverkusen strength so far has failed in the hands of Atalanta and has dashed their hopes of winning the Treble this season.
Lookman was a nightmare for Leverkusen, the three goals he scored meant that Italy would send six teams to the Champions League next season. Leverkusen was very disappointed with this defeat, their unbeaten record seemed to have no meaning because in the end they failed to win the Europa League trophy.

Alonso ended the season with a defeat in the final, I said that the final is always a special match. And Atalanta showed that they are capable of beating both Liverpool and Bayer, and these victories were so convincing that there was no doubt who was stronger. And Atalanta became the team that broke Bayer's record. Bayer was lucky several times during the playoffs, but this did not happen in the match with Atalanta, I had a feeling that Bayer would have a difficult time in the final...

No one expected that Atalanta would be able to play quite impressively in this final match against Leverkusen, as a team that was not the favorite, Atalanta could actually win the final match and give Leverkusen their first defeat in the Europa League final match, this was truly a very big surprise.

Atalanta's game was quite disciplined in all lines and they implemented defense and also built attacks that were very well organized, making it difficult for Leverkusen to create opportunities.
I watched this match and I admit that Atalanta played better and they deserved to win the Europa League title this season.

And for Leverkusen, this was the first defeat which was quite painful, in an important match but instead they had to lose with a landslide score, no matter what, Leverkusen's journey this season is worth appreciating even though they couldn't win the Europa League title this season.

I also felt the same as you when I saw the match where the result was unexpected. But what was most unexpected was that Leverkusen was unable to score a single goal in the match against Atalanta. And even Leverkusen was unable to create opportunities that could really endanger Atalanta's goal in that match. They were always stopped by Atalanta's defensive wall which was built very solidly. I hope both teams can score goals in this match. But Leverkusen made the final look so easy for Atalanta. Leverkusen did control the ball more. But they always encountered deadlock when attacking Atalanta's back line. This shows that Atalanta has really made a strategy that can weaken Leverkusen's attack. It seems that the Atalanta coach is very clever and can read what strategy Xabi Alonso used in that match. And the result was that Atalanta seemed to be able to create lots of opportunities very easily.

My confidence for Leverkusen to win and get the treble is very large, even though I also bet with a nominal value a little more than usual because my intuition says that Bayern will succeed in beating Atalanta in this match and indirectly succeed in bringing the trophy and paving the way for the treble this season.

But indeed it seems that my expectations are still too high which actually destroys the hopes that have been aspired to.
Leverkusen played hard especially with their lagging behind in terms of goals, they tried to create more momentum with ball possession and control the match but that ultimately did not go according to plan, Atalanta played very well besides that they were also good at luring Leverkusen players out of the defense zone which made it an advantage for Atalanta.

Congratulations Atalanta they are really outstanding in terms of mentality and confidence in this final.

it's true that it was a crazy result for Atalanta but to tell the truth I wouldn't be that surprised, just think of the growth that this team has had this is the job of a coach after years of trials and tests on the field in a serious and not exactly easy, let's consider that after 50 games that you lose you happen to miss the most important one, I don't know if you remember what happened to Juventus in 2015, they were in the running for the treble and they had never lost a game and yet in the end they I had the defeat in the last match of the most important match of the season, so yesterday I bet everything on Atalanta (luckily) I agree with you when you say that these teams will have no chance in the cahmpions but I wouldn't be so convinced..

I'm still in Shock. Can't believe the score. How can it be? A team that has not lost even to the finalist of Champions league. Leverkusen lost a golden chance to clinch the title of Europa league. Next season they'll be playing the champions league, where they'd have no chances against the top teams. It was the first one for Atlanta too and they'll be confident and pumped up for the next season. Most importantly, the finals are crucial 90 minutes where anything can happen if you performed better than your opponent.
Not only I have lost my bet, I've lost my confidence and any hope in football prediction.
