Defensively, Bayer Leverkusen are not really secured else those two goals won't have found the net to give Atalanta a two goal lead. I won't be in a hurry to declare them the winners yet since the team they are playing against are known to be dying minute equalizers or winners of games so it's still early.
No doubt that the game is quite tough as the both sides are really getting at each other but in terms of touches, Atalanta seems to be taking the lead but I wonder if they will be able to maintain this form till the end of the game since Leverkusen are beginning to mount pressure too.

As long as Atalanta are playing against Bayern Leverkusen the game is not over even when at 90+7'mins is still not over because these guys have a way of changing the outcome of the game. Atalanta are better in their defense and this is the best I have seen since the beginning of this very competition and if it continues this way I don't think Leverkusen are coming back in this game, for Atalanta to win this game is to avoid conceding a goal because a goal is giving Bayern Leverkusen an edge over Atalanta and the German side would dominate until they get an equalizer, but all I know is that tonight is the end of the glorious unbeaten.

Against the expectations of many, the Europa League final is going in favour of Atalanta. The Nigerian international Lookman have become a nightmare for Bayern Leverkusen following his two early goals. Now Leverkusen is two goals down and still facing serious pressure from Atalanta. Perhaps they understand the importance of remaining resolute until the end.
It's as if one would say it's Nigerian against Nigerians with both teams having Nigerian stars. Wilfred Boniface on the Bayer Leverkusen side was who almost all football fans was expecting to deliver in this position that Lookman has surprisingly emeged in, giving his team an early brace up goals.

On a serious note, Bayer Leverkusen willing be having a hard time getting a comeback on this one, Atlanta defense is that good enough to deny them that despite how much of a fighting spirit Beyer Leverkusen has shown throughout this season. It's just an unfortunate way to end their unbeaten record in a season at the final game. It's a shock of the night.

Atalanta are having a poor season in their league and are in 5th place, so they are particularly motivated to win the Europa League this season, given that they are up against a team who have not lost once this season they will be particularly pleased to beat them and be the only team to do so this season. At the moment Leverkusen are losing 2-0, sometimes attacking, but their realisation is terrible. But we all know that the true time of this team comes after the 90th minute
All Leverkusen needs is better finishing in their attack. Because they always seem to experience a deadlock when entering Atalanta's defense area. And yes, before the final whistle of the match sounds, we still can't be sure who will win the title in this final match. But it felt like it would be very difficult to get two goals back in the second half. because it's possible that Atalanta will also score another goal in the second half. Unless Atalanta makes the mistake of thinking they will maintain their lead by replacing several players with defenders. and that would be the same mistake as Bayern Munich made against Real Madrid. Now the second round has begun.

We know Bayern Leverkusen to be good at come backs, the reason many people are saying that they are winning by luck. Let's see if the luck is enough to change the situation for them tonight. Let's use this match to know if it is luck or their skill that is giving them the magical wins they have been enjoying.
The first half of the match has ended and Atlanta current two goal lead of course gives them better motivation in the second half later, Leverkusen, who is the favorite team in today match, seems to have had quite a heavy burden in overcoming atlanta  strong defense with kolasinac, since the match started, Leverkusen took the initiative by immediately attacking and dominating the game, but Leverkusen defense was a little weak today, so making Lookman look easy to overcome the defense built by Leverkusen, this time, Atlanta is two goals ahead through Lookman goal and I think Alonso should have done it in the second half to change of striker later, because I see that currently Amine Adli is not able to perform optimally as a target man.

Reflecting on the comebacks that Leverkusen often make this season, of course a two goal lead is not safe enough for Atlanta and I think Atlanta must continue to be able to create opportunities to score goals in the second half, because if Atlanta survives it will be easy for Leverkusen to find gaps in scoring goals to make a comeback, but apart from all that of course I hope that atlanta can maintain their victory today to give Leverkusen their first defeat this season, besides that if atlanta is able to maintain its victory today until the match ends, of course the courage to bet on atalanta win will provide a slight profit for me with odds of 3.20 later Grin.

Unbelievable, i just saw the liveticker and it is really 2:0 for Atalanta Bergamo. Will today be the first game in 51 matches that Leverkusen lose? And then such an important game, that would be a doubly valuable title for Bergamo. I can already see the headlines in the newspapers "lookman beats the german team, nobody has done that in 51 games". The game still has 45 minutes to go, so it is still possible that Leverkusen will come back now and I think they will score at least 1 goal and there will be a powerplay at the end of the game. If Bergamo win, it will be a surprise for everyone.

Atalanta could still shock the world, we do not know which one will  be better and who will do better, we just know that Atalanta will end up trying their very best, and maybe they will do fine and maybe they won't, I do not know which one will be true. If they can somehow shock the world and get the win that would be insane for all the people who bet on that game, quadrupling your bet is always a great thing and this is right around those levels so it is definitely a good way to go.

I believe that we need to consider that we are going to end up with a lot better results if given enough chances. Same with Dortmund over at UCL, not many give them a chance, but they still have a chance in the football world sense because it is the finals.

Many people actually expected Leverkusen to dominate the game, and win the game without any trouble, but the match is not going as expected because Leverkusen is losing 2-0 to Atalanta in the first half and there is a good hope for Atalanta because they are playing very well in the first half.

To some extent, I trust Atalanta’s defense because they are also stingy in conceding goals; we have seen how they treated Liverpool in the quarter finals. And for them to have won Leverkusen before in their last two matches, they still have chance to win today and they are already in the process.

Comeback is possible but I don’t think Leverkusen will be relaxed to concede two goals without reply in the second half.

What I was not expecting actually happened. Atalanta had already gotten two goals before the first half, but if you could view well, the game is still ongoing and it is still tough for both teams, especially Bayer Leverkusen, because they will like to equalise back to the game, and Atalanta will try their best to see that won’t happen. But if we can recall, that is the same thing that happened in the second leg when AS Roma were knocked out. the first win, two goals before halftime, and many were thinking that AS Roma would break the record that Bayer Leverkusen was trying to keep, but unfortunately, Bayer Leverkusen surprised us before the game came to an end.

So now I have hope on Beyer leverkusen also in the second half because I know they won’t take it likely on Atalanta, and Atalanta will also not like that to happen, so all I will say if that is a game is more like a war.

Atalanta have a good defense and a good goalkeeper, which makes it difficult for Leverkusen to penetrate their defense easily. Atalanta was lucky to take proper advantage of their opportunities to net the post twice by Lookman. I will not see this as a victory for Atalanta yet because the second half might be a different one.

I don't know what Alonso use to tell his men that always make them come back in the second half to draw or win the match. In this match there must be a winner, so I want to see how Leverkusen will be able to equalize those two goals and win the match, or will Atalanta score more goals to frustrate Leverkusen the more.

Leverkusen also made an extraordinary comeback when they faced Roma in the semi-finals. So it's possible that in the second half Leverkusen will be able to do it again. However, Atalanta's performance was beyond my expectations. I knew they were a strong club but I didn't expect them to be able to break down Leverkusen's defense quite easily in the first half. 2 Goals is clearly an extraordinary achievement for Atalanta. but that doesn't mean they have locked in victory. Because in the second half anything can still happen. And Leverkusen also started to improve their attacks well in the first half. It's just that I hope Xabi Alonso will also pay attention to the gaps in Leverkusen's defense that must be repaired in the second half. And now the first half is over with the score still the same, namely 2-0.

Some surprises seems to be happening at the Europa league finals between Atalanta and Bayern Leverkusen as Leverkusen is already losing by 2:0 in 26 minutes and the goals was scored by A. Lookman as he scored the two goals. No one saw this coming at all but Leverkusen will need to buckle up now before Atalanta makes it 3:0 before halftime, what a surprise in just the early minutes of this finals today but let's see how the match we go because Leverkusen is known for coming from behind to draw and even win matches so let's see if same thing will happen because the game is not going in their favour right now.
Agree. It is surprising to see Napoli scoring 2 goals in the first half of the match. Lookman takes the advantage of the situation of Leverkusen players that looks overconfidence or too relaxed in the match. And I don't understand why Xabi Alonso doesn't use the main goalkeeper (Lukas Hradecky). As far as I know Lukas Hradecky is also the captain of Bayer Leverkusen. Also, I'm surprised there is no pure striker in the starting lineup. Just take a loot, no Patrik Schick and no Victor Boniface. This must be a big blunder made by Xabi Alonso if Leverkusen is defeated in this final match.

I think there will be no change until the end of the first half of the match. I'm sure the match is over if Atalanta can score another goal and make it to be 3 goals. I just hope Xabi Alonso will change Amine Adli with Victor Boniface in the early of second half of the match. Xabi Alonso needs to consider playing with 2 strikers to increase the chance of scoring goals. So, it is better to add Patrik Schick as well. Palacios can be replaced by Patrik Schick, it won't bring too much impact on the midfield because I see Leverkusen has strong midfielders. What they need is to strengthen their attacking line!! Leverkusen needs to play more offensive and more aggressive in the second half of the match.

I like many here think Bayer will be champions, but I really hope there will be surprises in this match... Although usually the final matches are not rich in goals, I want to see goals from both teams... By the way, bookmakers give good odds that both teams will score, but favour Bayer... But it's probably safe to take a chance and place a small bet on Atalanta taking the title... The odds are more than 2...

I am very neutral in this game. Both teams are very good and Andy of them that wins it deserves it very much. Atalanta has been very good this season, they started the season slowly but now they're doing very well. They have all it takes to win Leverkusen.
Leverkusen on the other hand have been very good all season. They haven't even lost any match this season. Winning the final today would mean they finished the season unbeaten, that's an insane record. I don't think any team have achieved that before.

Knowing how funny and cruel football is, I might just bet on Atalanta to win. Leverkusen are having a fairy tale season, winning the Europa would be the icing on the cake and somehow I have a feeling they might not achieve it. I know they're the better team and the odds are in their favour, but football can be funny at times so I'm sticking with my gut for my bet.

Lookman is on fire and he has scored the second goal to make it 2-0 for Atalanta. It is quite surprising to see how Atalanta was able to score two goals within 15 minutes, and Leverkusen cannot clap back. I don't see this as the Leverkusen that has being unbeaten in Germany. Is it that Leverkusen will do a come back in the second half and win the game or what. I want to see the magic that Leverkusen will do from now till 90 minutes. Otherwise, Atalanta have messed up their unbeaten record and also win the competition.
It seems like the root of Leverkusen's problem is that they still don't have enough experience in big matches like the European League Final. Even though their performance has been very good from the start of the season until now. but in the final match ability is not the only thing needed. But the player's mentality is also very necessary in this case. And Atalanta seems to be more experienced and has a more mature mentality in big matches.

The 2 goals that Atalanta managed to get must have surprised everyone at this time. But as an Italian football fan, I am familiar with this. Because this is how the Italian team can sometimes make unexpected surprises in big matches against strong teams. Atalanta even succeeded in surprising everyone in the Europa League quarter-finals when they managed to beat Liverpool at that time. So if the Europa League Final ultimately belongs to Atalanta, it actually won't be too surprising. Although this exceeded my expectations.

The UEFA Europa League final between Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen will play place at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin tonight. Leverkusen is targeting a second trophy after winning the Bundesliga this season. Meanwhile, Atalanta, having won their last six Serie A matches and qualify for in the final by defeating Marseille in the semi-finals, has recent form on their side. Interestingly, these teams previously met in the 2021-22 Europa League round of 16, with Atalanta winning 4-2 on aggregate. Despite Leverkusen being the favorite, Atalanta’s recent achievements are remarkable.
If Atalanta will win this game, they have to ignore the record of Bayer Leverkusen and what they have achieved this season, they have to remember their journey to the finals and how it was not easy, how they had to fight to get here.
Indeed if they win it will be an impressive performance and also a good record for them because the journey the make to get was not easy, destroy big big team is a good achievement for them.

Atalanta starts the game with Nigeria attacker  Ademola Lookman while Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface is going to start from the bench.
Quote
Ademola Lookman have scored the first goal for Atalanta who have started better than Leverkusen. The early goal is a big advantage to Atalanta who have a chance to defend the goal and try to get more, and then a big test of mentality again for Bayer Leverkusen to get back into the game.

Wow Ademola Lookman has done it again scoring two goals before the first half end against the undisputed team of the season, i will be happy to see Bayer Leverkusen being defeated but still my mind are not at rest because of how dangerous Bayer Leverkusen can be with the last minute goal which is what they can do best. Many people will be disappointed if the result end up like this because they all trust Bayer Leverkusen will win base on their consistency and also their records of unbeaten. Let see the end of first half.

Will the unbeaten record end this evening?

I think tonight is going to be a though match for both Atalanta against Bayern Leverkusen in the UEFA Europa league final, because looking at the both teams performance since the beginning of the season I think they are really good to go, however I'm seeing the match as a goal less draw or at worst a 1:1 score draw.
Ademola Lukuman has already put Atalanta in front with a goal in the 12th minute of the game, the Leverkusen defender was relaxed and Lukuman was lucky to kick the ball to the back of the net.

Just now, Lukuman has double the led to make it 2-0. I think people’s instinct on Leverkusen is going down because the underrated Atalanta is doing something very great tonight.
Nevertheless, it is not yet over, there is more time to play, but with the domination Atalanta has, I think they can win at the end.

Yes, although in the past Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen have met in the Europa League in the round of 16 but still, the past and current trends have a real difference.
The impressive run Bayer Leverkusen has endured this season makes it easy to assume they would be the favorites in this Europa league finals but, from the game play this far, that clearly would be a mistaken qualification of there play. From the kick off, Atalanta have been on the offensive, trying the most they could to set their play around the Atalanta goalkeeper’s box and now, they’ve got an early goal to show for all their effort. A no contest ball as the result of a cut back pass, straight into the part of Lookman. Even then, you can still find Atalanta asking for more, trying to ensure dominance by maintaining possession and control the game.
Bayer Leverkusen needs to take charge of the possession if they hope to get anything out of this game.

Atalanta have scored first on the 12th minutes with an easy finish from Lookman. It is now a fierce match as Atalanta have broken the deadlock and they are still pressuring to score the second goal. Atalanta started the match well with a n early goal and this is a good opportunity for them.

Leverkusen on the other hand has not be able to understand the game pattern but I can see that they are getting more confident currently, and I know that they will be able to equalize the goal. When it is Leverkusen playing, it is not yet over until the final whistle.

Atalanta 1-0 Leverkusen.
This surprised me a little. I didn't expect Atalanta to be able to score goals faster than I expected. And it doesn't seem like luck. Because I see Atalanta playing with more confidence. they take advantage of opportunities quickly and accurately. Leverkusen did try to break down Atalanta's defense but it was not successful. But Atalanta only managed to get a goal with a few touches and quick attacks. And now the score has even changed to 2-0. Honestly, this is not the final I expected. Leverkusen conceded too easily. It seems I had too high hopes for Leverkusen.

But well, as long as the match isn't over, Leverkusen still has a chance to equalize the score. Although now it has become more difficult because Atalanta has scored 2 goals. Xabi Alonso must have been surprised by what happened there. All of this was definitely beyond the young coach's expectations. Atalanta made a tight defense in this match and could build attacks quickly. But several attempts from Leverkusen's attacks also seemed to be starting to tear apart Atalanta's defense.
Some surprises seems to be happening at the Europa league finals between Atalanta and Bayern Leverkusen as Leverkusen is already losing by 2:0 in 26 minutes and the goals was scored by A.
