I know that some people will be at work, because for me the game fell at 3 in the afternoon , and fortunately I was able to watch it through my phone, I think many saw it that way, I was really looking forward to Seeing Xabi winning the title is something that Shocked me because many of us were expecting Leverkusen's victory, which had shown a lot by Being the most undefeated. Xabi has really done Incredible things but this Strong step is something normal, this is the beauty of Football that is not written Nothing , and I think all of Germany surprised him.

This is football, something unexpected is always present as long as the match is not over, Atalanta managed to control the match which made Leverkusen unable to do anything in the final. Atalanta managed to get rid of the two teams with the most potential to win the EUL with the same score (3-0), Liverpool and Leverkusen had to recognize the greatness of Atalanta under the guidance of Gasperini, who had just won the Europa League.
Ademola Lookman became the hero of Atalanta victory after scoring three goals against Leverkusen. Atalanta success in winning the EUL meant that Leverkusen failed to win the Treble winner and ended Leverkusen unbeaten record this season in the 51st match.

Congratulations to Atalanta for successfully winning the EUL and giving Serie A the opportunity to have six teams in the Champions League.

Well well well, looks like Bayer Leverkusen was brought back to reality after that long unbeaten run came to an end last evening all thanks to a brilliant Atalanta performance who played like the champs they are...and funny thing is that even when Leverkusen was down by 2goals people believed a comeback was possible but forgetting this is a final and once you fallback there is noway for a team to comeback from this one!!!

Hands down to Atalanta for a well executed plan to clip Leverkusens wings while they were still in party mode for their past achievements ,and it's good it happened this way so that Leverkusen goes back to the drawing board to put in the work to get positive results in the future.

Unfortunately, it was really an unlucky day for me, at first I had doubts about this final match because in my opinion Atalanta is not a club that can be underestimated, even though I was hit by doubts I still tried to believe in Leverkusen if they would be able to beat Atalanta but who would have thought that the Italian club was able to beat Leverkusen with a fairly high score and Leverkusen was unable to score a goal against Atalanta, I thought Leverkusen could overcome my doubts but it turns out to be true if these doubts really have a strong feeling. I am quite disappointed with Leverkusen's defeat at this time because they are a club that doesn't defeated so far but defeated after reaching the final.

This reminds me of Liverpool's match a few months ago where Atalanta was the underdog club but they were able to prove to everyone that they were really strong and were even able to beat Liverpool. Atalanta's record in the Europa League is quite good so it's natural that they deserve to win in final but of course more people favored Leverkusen, Ademola Lookman's performance was also extraordinary, he was able to create a hat trick in that match thanks to him, Atalanta won the Europa League title this season.

Atalanta are one of challenging teams in Serie A last 10 years and with Gasperini as their head coach, they made big surprise in Champions League years ago and managed to compete for a fourth position in Serie A recent years. This shows their quality, competitiveness and quality recent seasons and in Europa League this season, they won over Liverpool at Anfield stadium with a big result, 3 goal difference at a home-away stadium. This shows Atalanta were not fearful against Liverpool and they shown it again in the final match.

It's a bad day for Leverkusen and it is a great day for Atalanta as a team and Lookman individually. All three shots of Lookman are powerful and fantastic, then it's hard for any goalkeeper can make saves against those shots. Atalanta played well in the final and their big win comes from excellent shots of Lookman because it's his day.

I knew Atalanta had a fighting chance but I never expected how the previously unbeaten Leverkusen to not even score a goal. It's just embarrassing for the Bundesliga champions to be losing that way. Congratulations to Atalanta and Lookman for an impressive performance. I won't be surprised if bigger teams from Europe start fighting over him in the offseason.

Lots of people didn’t see this coming. Honestly, i didn't expect Atalanta to beat the invisible Leverkusen in the just concluded finals not to talk about beating them with a clean sheet, Gasperini deserve all the praise he got today,  what amazes me is that they didn’t park the box all the time, they went all out on Leverkusen sometimes and created better chances for themselves than the Leverkusen did. Their defense was great, the attack was fantastic and they worked as a team to destroy Leverkusen, i love how Gasperini used the Nigerian attacker Lookman as a tool to destroyed Leverkusen's defense and made winning easy for them, Topsiba was no match for him and gave him chance to always penetrate the defense. What i understand in this concluded Europa League season is that Gasperini developed a good tactics in making himself invisible to the big teams he won Liverpool, Sporting and Leverkusen to lift the trophy, they didn’t see it coming cause they all underestimated his team and paid dearly for that. Anyways Congratulations to Atalanta and to Lookman for scoring a hat-trick and helping his team to win their 1st major trophy after so many years of trophy drought.

Atalanta did not fully use the parking strategy because they also have the same statistics in shots even Atalanta is slightly better in accuracy/on target imagine out of 10 shots 7 are on target and 3 is  goals. Basically Atalanta does have the ability to attack and defend so Leverkusen did not anticipate this, It's a shame that Leverkusen's good record had to be destroyed by Atalanta, yeah Leverkusen must take experience from this defeat they realized something was missing in their game or maybe they are too confident and underestimate their opponents? What is clear is that this defeat surprised me and many people and what we expected did not happen to Leverkusen I mean we didn't see an impressive game.

What Atalanta did was a masterclass. Killing off the game as early as possible and even when Bayer Leverkusen have been known as comeback kings for a while, this was too hard a hill for them to climb.

As a neutral, the game was enjoyable to watch and in the end of it all, Atalanta deserved the title.

LMAO, The invincible club must suffer its first defeat against the parking bus strategy thanks for gasperini being not stubborna and think about how to win the game. Thank you to Gasperini for using his sense to use the parking strategy in this game and you deserved to win europa league this season. Other clubs are so dumb because they can't believe how effective a parking bus strategy was against a club with dominant ball possessions like Leverkusen. It makes leverkusen becomes so clueless.

Atalanta deserved it. Leverkusen deserved this to lose with good scores against atalanta. They pretend that they can break the parking bus, but they can't since atalanta's defensive line is too strong and very consistent. Atalanta was only relying on the counterattack, and it is working. I'm not sure why people regard the parking bus strategy as a bad one to use, but it's extremely useful for open-minded coaches like Gasperini.

Leverkusen gets karma for being overconfident. Congratulations on destroying Leverkusen with only a counterattack. Look at that man Lookman. his price has skyrocketed following this match.

my post is a little late, but I must say that I'm not very surprised by this result, Atalanta beat Liverpool in that competition, so it was already clear that Atalanta could beat big teams, also Leverkusen in this competition despite having arrived In the final, in my opinion, they did not present a solidity equal to Atalanta in terms of performance in this competition and this could mean that Leverkusen could have a bad performance in the champions league next season. Most teams that perform well in the local league and do not have a coach with great experience in European competitions tend to fail in European competitions.

The final match was indeed surprising and it never crossed my mind that Atalanta would win the Europa League considering that Leverkusen this season was very, very impressive without defeat, but in the end Atalanta stopped Leverkusen's unbeaten record. Xabi Alanso made a small mistake here because he could not adapt to Atalanta's strategy and game in pressing, man-to-man, aggressiveness, effectiveness and even Atalanta was superior in all areas, and was able to control the match. Even though Atalanta also used this strategy when eliminating Liverpool, unfortunately Xabi couldn't anticipate it from the start.

Indeed, Leverkusen dominated possession of the ball, but Atalanta was smarter in taking advantage of the situation. Moreover, in the first half Leverkusen really had difficulty escaping Atalanta's pressure which was so intense that it stopped their ball progress. And in the first half, Lookman was really clever at taking advantage of opportunities and he also had a neat finish. That's why the score was 2-0 for Atalanta in the first half. The strategy implemented by Gian Piero Gasperini really went according to plan in this match, and what is interesting is that at the age of 66, he finally managed to win the first trophy in his career as a coach.

It is not only painful but it is surprising. Almost all people favor Bayer Leverkusen because they are preforming well and they succeed winning domestic league. I'm also one of the people who favor Bayer Leverkusen and I'm surprised with the result. I don't understand why Leverkusen performed very badly in the final Europa league, they even couldn't score a single goal.

Atalanta played perfectly, they didn't give chances for Leverkusen players to score goals. I really appreciated that Atalanta have very solid defenders. In this final match, Atalanta really showed how the defense strength of Italian team. Sure, Atalanta fans are happy because they may not expect Atalanta to win against Leverkusen. But it is the fact, Atalanta succeed breaking the unbeaten status of Leverkusen today.

Lookman isn't only performing quite well, he played so amazing. Dude, it is the final Europa league and Lookman could make a hattrick (3 goals). It is very rare to see a player who can score a hattrick in the final match. Lookman is also not a very popular player, even I just know this player in this season. He contributed with incredible performance for Atalanta today.

Finally, Serie A team wins an international trophy. Last season, Inter Milan failed to win UCL trophy. Now, Atalanta succeeded winning UEL trophy. It is surely a proud for the team from Serie A.

Congratulations to Atalanta, who have succeeded in winning the Europa League this season. A result that was never expected, where Leverkusen were the favorites before the match but Atalanta managed to create a surprise. Leverkusen impressive record was broken, and Atalanta was the luckiest club to do it, Xabi fleet seemed to have lost its magic. The expected Treble Winner failed to materialize, this was a very painful defeat.

Expectations for Leverkusen are quite high, I really didn't expect them to lose to Atalanta. Apart from that, I think many bettors experienced losses from the results of this final match, once again Atalanta really achieved a miracle by beating Leverkusen. Xabi fleet was overwhelmed by Atalanta solid defense, even though they were very dominant in possession of the ball.

On the other hand, this is probably the biggest shock that has happened this season, and again no one can really predict the final result of the game. Ademola Lookman is probably the player that Leverkusen fans hate the most, his three goals buried Leverkusen dreams. However, Leverkusen still deserves appreciation because they were able to maintain their unbeaten record for 51 matches.

Watching the match and it was very fantastic because Atalanta has just made a new history that they can gets their first trophy from European Competition today and the most amazing is Atalanta has succeed to beat Leverkusen with 3 goals without conceded which i am sure people would never expect this result happened especially before this match Leverkusen status is still unbeated and i have to says Leverkusen was playing not into their best performance this because during the match some of Leverkusen players did some mistakes and even Leverkusen was very weak to anticipated counter attack which displayed by Atalanta

Atalanta played very similar to how they beat Liverpool this because Atalanta was attempt to pressed Leverkusen players and this strategy is very successfull because the players like Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong don't get many opportunities to score goals and i can see how frustrating for the players of Leverkusen because they unable to broke the defense of Atalanta and actually i was waiting epic comeback from Leverkusen but it wasn't happend because Atalanta is very consistent to managed their performance on that match but overall this is fantastic match and congratulations to Atalanta for becoming champions this season

This result was a surprise for everyone, nobody expected Bayern Leverkusen to be defeated like this.
Bayern Leverkusen was the favorite of the cup, but Atalanda played very well and won the cup by winning the title.
Atalanta ended Bayern Leverkuse's unbeaten streak.

I didn’t get to watch this match fully but I’m still in shock on how things turned around against Bayern Leverkusen that they loss the match to Atalanta. The match that is the most important to them this season ended up in a defeat that is so disappointing. Atalanta really tried to have won and denied Bayern Leverkusen of the trophy after all their unbeaten run this season. Atalanta have now extended their win against them to three matches and three wins. Atalanta will be happy to be the ones that broke the record of this great team, it’s a big privilege to them.


Some had bet in this manner and risk their money for Atalanta to win, I know those people will be happy they chose Atalanta to win even when they knew they were in for a big gamble in this matchup. Lookman’s Atalanta have just won a treble and that in a very important competition final in Europe. His performance today from stats really deserved him an award at the end of the season. Truly tremendous and I loved it.

A hat-trick in the final is a rare honor for any player. All goals were clean and undisputed thereby rendering the VAR useless. What interest me the most is that Lookman's firepower is in both legs and I never knew he could score so perfectly the way he did. Likely he will be in high demand by many big teams across the world because he has just increased his market value by tonight's performance.

Atalanta did not only win Bayern Leverkusen, they humbled them, outplayed them and broke their enviable record. They have proven that Bayern Leverkusen is not invincible after all. What an  interesting match it was and Atalanta really deserved to win. I did not watch most of the matches of Bayern Leverkusen but if their performance tonight is the best they could offer, I will say they performed below expectations.
