Previously, when the group phase format was still used, the teams that would qualify for the last 16 could already be predicted, this time everything has changed completely after the new format was implemented, each club must protect each other's opportunities because there is no longer a Home Away system. Now there is a little bit of a different color than before, each team must maintain their mentality to steal points at the opponent's headquarters to increase their chances of finishing in the top 8.
Position changes will still occur in the top 8 positions because the points difference is still very thin.
The new format is actually not beneficial for several big teams even though it is a result that they determine themselves through the game to get points. The increase in the number of matches does slightly affect the level of competition in the Eropa League, especially it will have an impact on clubs that are facing a storm of injuries to their players. The position can still change and maybe we will see the teams that qualify and finish in the top 8 of the standings with a little unexpected. Automatic qualification is the hope of most teams but it will take hard work to secure that spot and the interesting thing for some teams who have not secured automatic qualification is that they still need to fight in the remaining matches so they don't have to fight through the playoffs.
The new format or playoffs for 9 to 24 place is an interesting concept, it gives a chance for weak clubs to advance to the round of 16. Only clubs ranked 1st to 8th qualify automatically for the round of 16, the rest of the best in the playoffs. Of course this concept is also fair for clubs ranked in the top 8, because in the round of 16 they will face clubs that have just qualified from the playoffs.

The league format was actually aimed at creature more competition and I think that is almost achieved as unlike before the europa is now even more serious and very competitive as it now appears that getting pass the group stage alone isn't an easy one like the former where you have to literally just play against four teams in eight fixtures but this time you get stretched way beyond that and if you don't have the stamina and possible strength,,you may get relegated by the better sides.

The new format implemented by UEFA has brought new dynamics in both UCL and UEL competitions this season, not only in UEL, even we see in UCL many favorite teams actually have to struggle to qualify for the next round, without the Home Away system, making every match more challenging and there is no longer an advantage to play at home,  So that requires each team to perform optimally in each of their matches and of course indirectly improves the quality and intensity of the current UEL and UCL competitions, the new format has provided greater opportunities for teams that are usually considered underdogs to make surprises, so we can say that it seems that indeed the format change was made to deliberately provide difficulties for the team team that has dominated so far.

I love this new format because it didn't give the big clubs an edge over the average ones. You have to be in a good form to survive and qualify to the round of 16, otherwise, you will find yourself at the bottom of the table. This format really affected a lot of clubs this season in their performance but I believe that as time passes on, the clubs will be use to it. The clubs will also find a way on how to maneuver their way to the round of 16.
If this format had been applied in the UEFA Europa League in the past, it would have provided many opportunities for teams to qualify for the top 16 or even make it to the top 8. I myself really support the format that is currently taking place, all teams must set new strategies in order to enter the top 16. Each team must always maintain good team quality.

With changes, the competition becomes tighter, no longer giving an advantage to the big teams using the group phase. This time the coach has to find a new way to get through to the last 16. I think the ordinary teams will give a surprise. at the end of the next round of the match.

Just like when he first set foot in Sporting he also did not know the players in the team and it took him at least a few seasons until finally Sporting's performance improved from year to year, it is very unfortunate that Amorim had to leave the club when he loved it and chose a club that was in chaos and he was forced to build the club from the bottom, I think we need to give Amorim time because changing a club in an instant is not the job of a coach but the job of a magician Cheesy
Amorim is a business man, and wants to show his skills and experience to the world that he knows how to revive a club that's is stumbling. He did it in Sporting and can also do it in United, if he gets his desired players. Amorim is still young and has more talent in him, he needs more time to transform the team and we can start seeing good results from next season.
To be fair he doesn't look like he is doing it right now, and the risk of him asking to buy a lot of players, would mean that he is going to end up with spending a lot of money to maybe do nothing. If he asks for some players and United gets those players and they recover and do great and finish higher, then that would be great for Amorim and his stock value would go up without a doubt, but if he asks them to spend 100+ million on players, they do come and join, but then they end up with absolutely nothing improved and still get bad results, then Amorim would take a big hit.

After all, you could get bad results without spending much money neither, and that is why I believe they are looking like they need to stop spending that much money. They already have hard time keeping Garnacho and Mainoo who they should keep, both of them are great young talent that could do amazingly so we should consider how they could help them in the future, spend money on those players to keep them.

It is really difficult to predict this year's winner in the Europa League to be honest. I mean of course there have been teams showing amazing performances in league phase such Lazio, Athletic Bilbao and so on. Smiley But league phase can always be misleading. Just as it can be in the Champions League considering that the last winner Real Madrid have made a bad start this season. But after the current phase everything can change depending on experience and many other factors. I'm excitedly waiting for how far Turkish teams will make it in the Europa League.
UEFA events are never been easy to predict as we have history of upsets and surprises in these events usually we have favourite teams face unpredictable results currently we have 5 teams with undefeated results after 6 rounds and things could be more interesting in 7th round while we have few big games few teams despite having poor performance into their leagues are also doing good job here in Europa Cup which is surprising even we have Lazio, Athletic Bilbao and Frankfurt as favourite for title, but we can expect surprises from Galatasaray and Manchester United and Tottenham.

In this season we have good hype about few Turkish clubs but sadly Besiktas and Fenerbahçe both facing problems and have no good chance for going into next round, but Galatasaray is surely going to be had good end of their season as Osimhen doing impressive job and trying to end his season with good success.

On the one hand, it is indeed extraordinary with a new format like this, because it is clear that the match is more competitive, both away and home, all teams try to win, because they only meet once, making the competition to qualify for the next round even more exciting and even difficult to predict.

However, the negative impact of this new format is that the more matches, not only players are prone to injury, but also the audience becomes bored with the many matches every week. For some reason I am sure this format will only last a few seasons. Because with this format, many players are starting to get injured, maybe when the season ends, there will definitely be many injured players. If this happens, it is likely that big clubs will protest this new format. Indeed, for football lovers this format is interesting, but for clubs and players this is a big problem.

This season's Europa League I just want to see how far Man United's achievements are in the Europa League with coach Amorim, because so far Amorim in the EPL has not been able to make many changes. Is Amorim the reason Man United is slumping in the EPL because he wants to focus everything he has on the Europa League? because the only way for Man United to qualify for the UCL next season is to win the Europa League.

We are almost nearing the end of this first stage. Indeed initially many talked about the advantages of only strong teams that would be favored with the new format at the beginning of this season. But after seeing what happened, the reality is that the competition will be real to fight for tickets to qualify for the next round.
The tight schedule should not be a problem for teams that are used to rotating their players. But we can see several types of coaches who always use almost the same players in their squad. Of course, it can interfere with player performance, especially if added to the international match defending the national team.
The European League and the Champions League are now running interestingly. Even some of the favored teams are also having difficulty reaching the top 8. It seems that this format will continue to be maintained.
6 matches have passed, now there are only 2 matches left to go to the next round. This of course makes the competitive atmosphere in the European League even hotter, because as you said, the top teams seem to have quite a hard time advancing straight to the next round without a play-off round. Teams that are currently struggling include Tottenham who are currently in 9th position, Ajax who are currently in 11th position, Real Sociedad who are currently in 12th position, and Roma who are currently in 14th position. At first I also thought that these teams would have no difficulty getting into the top 8 positions in the European league. The reason is that in their respective domestic leagues, these teams can be said to have performed quite well, especially in the previous season. But in the European league these teams are really struggling. Perhaps the tight match schedule and lack of ability to rotate players well is what makes them quite difficult in the European league. And tomorrow Galatasaray will compete against Dynamo Kyiv, in my opinion Galatasaray can definitely win this match, what do you think.

Lazio, Athletic Bilbao, Anderlecht, Galatasaray, and Manchester United are teams that have never been defeated. I would place them as strong candidates for the Europa League trophy this season. Manchester United and Galatasaray have better squad depth than the other three teams. I think they both deserve to face each other in the final. However, as you said, in the round of 16 and beyond, everything can change quickly depending on the condition of each team. Expectations for Galatasaray this season have increased, all of which are influenced by Osimhen.

I must admit that I'm jealous of Galatasaray's attacking power. Tongue Having such an amazing forward like Osimhen must be feeling amazing for the fans. They are really strong offensively but not defensively. They conceded too many goals so far and this can cause them trouble in next phases. Besides there are news such as Galatasaray could lose Osimhen in January because of the release clause which is 75 million euros. If they don't manage to fill his place with a scorer forward like him then they will lose a lot of power on the front as well.

We have seen how the new format has affected the big team's ball possession that they now fall below our expectations by having a poor performance. This new format has deeply changed the atmosphere of games to full of suspense that a team will have a difficult time studying their opponent and preparing against them on short notice, having their domestic league competition in mind to fight for the top spot
This new format is indeed more difficult than the previous format where every big club will face opponents who are almost equal so that it makes it difficult for them to get every point, so far the clubs that are considered contenders for the Europa League title have not gone according to expectations Roma, Fenerbahce, Porto, Galatasaray even Man United I think this new format will show us that this season's competition is not only for the top clubs.

Galatasaray honestly looks good enough with Osimhen getting used to the team, and with new transfers they are making, it could be possible for them to win this title. I am considering betting on them for the title, not sure if it would be smart move but the odds are good. I mean we have no certain names yet, nothing is official yet, but they are considering to get Dybala and Skriniar, which would be amazing additions to their team and could actually make them play much better as well.

We are talking about one superstar level player for them, and one great defender, if this happens, we could see them actually have a momentum to make it further. Is it possible? Yes, is it likely? No. So, it is going to be a tough bet without a doubt.
That will be a very smart bet, and considering the odd I just check too, it worth the risk. To me so far they are amongst the favorites in winning the Europe league, though they struggle in some matches but if few players are added in to the squad this winter transfer it will be a very huge boost for them. There are several players linked to galataxary moves this winter and most are very good and experienced players. With a few additions to the squad they can possibly beat any team in the Europa league. I will also place a bet on them to win the Europa league.

Victor Osimehn have give their attack much threat unlike last season when they were abit weak in the attack. Though it a shame that it only on loan and just like the saying goes never fall inlove with a loan player. For sure he will be missed after the season and I’m not sure he will be with them next season for osimehn wants to play in more competitive league.

If the Dybala and Skrinair move comes through it will be a very big boost to the squad, a very experienced defender will make it more balanced. Sanchez needs a good partnership, he have been very superb since his move to galataxaty, a good partnership with another good defender will make us see the best of him.

In this new format, honestly I feel something different from before, I feel the competition is more interesting because all clubs are in the same table which makes them have to compete with all the clubs in the European League. Although only playing 8 matches, but in those 8 matches all clubs must do their best to be able to win and be able to go further in the European League. Many clubs have the same points, they cannot relax because the difference in goal difference alone will make them eliminated faster in this early round.

That's the reality, I also really like the new format like this even though it does, at least make the match schedule even denser. But anyway, that's what makes it even more interesting, because each team will find  it  difficult to maintain the performance and fitness of each player, so the results are not always good for them and then force them  to rotate  players to keep their performance stable. But even so, of course there are still some teams that still succeed with  goodresults and also, their competition to be in the top eight and or to be able to finish in the top eight is also not entirely easy. Although at first maybe the position for the top eight could be an advantage for the top European teams,  but in reality it is still not easy at all.
We have seen how the new format has affected the big team's ball possession that they now fall below our expectations by having a poor performance.
I also believe with the talent and skills that Amorim currently has because his experience when coaching Sporting Lisbon has been very proven so that he can create a greater tactic at Manchester United for this season, especially in the second half of this season. Because Amorim does need to get some new players who are better so that Manchester United can rise again from their slump so far.

In fact, Amorim made a big challenge by leaving Sporting Lisbon, which was in a great situation, and going to Manchester United. It will be difficult for him because they are playing with players he does not know at all, players he has not worked with before. I think he will gradually put the team into the system and they will be successful. I have full confidence that they will be an important team next year.
As a matter of fact, both teams cannot be compared to each other, they are literally playing in different leagues that has got different approach to their style and patter of play, the competition in the various domestic leagues are actually huge and very different such that you cannot be making the comparison so its going to take sometime for Amorim to develop Manchester united to getting to that status he got sporting back then in their own league, i know you may want to reference the fact that he won Manchester city with sporting but i can bet they cannot repeat that again for a second time, that happened at Manchester city's most vulnerable moment and now in Manchester united, he's just needs the time literally and the team will be good.
