Sevilla - Dinamo Zagreb can be another delightful matchup in this tournament. Sevilla are one of the biggest candidates of the Europa League title now. People are talking about Napoli, Barcelona and Dortmund about a title chance. But they are not the only contenders. Sevilla have the best history in this tournament among these teams. Dinamo Zagreb may be one of the decent clubs of the EL but I don't think that they can make a surprise against Sevilla.

Yeah, haven't they taken three Europa League titles in a row? Or am I wrong? Anyway, it's not the point, but they are certainly good title contenders, I think even in a match against a strong opponent (although if Dortmund and Barcelona are strong, what are they forgetting here? Smiley Grin), they are more likely to beat them
You are right @baeva. Sevilla won the Europe League trophies in 2013-2014, 2014-2015, and 2015-2016 seasonsu in a row. Sevilla have a good record when it comes to the Europe League. And also they are likely to win again this season. Although, it will be tough as they are other strong clubs also playing in the tournament. But, they will definitely win against Dinamo Zagreb, However, it will not be an easy task because Dinamo Zagreb will surely struggle to also win the match.

I don't think Sevilla will have a problem winning against Dinamo Zagreb in this match.

They have a very good record in the Europa League, As they have won three consecutive trophies in a row. So far there look in very good shape and their form is also fine compared to Dinamo Zagreb's. So, I hope that Sevilla will be able to win this match with ease.
I have a small bet in next 18th February match.

Sevilla is a Europa League machine. I don't know how many players are still part of the squad that had an incredibly successful time in the Europa League, but they have the experience anyway. Dinamo Zagreb will have a hard time to play against such a defensively smart playing opponent.

It is difficult to evaluate the strategy of Borussia, since we do not know what depends on what - whether it sells players out of a desire to make money, or whether it makes money by selling players from a lack of them. In any case, I'm sure Borussia has less money than Bavaria. As for Haaland, he himself inflates the hype around him - his performance is better than that of Ronaldo or any other player in his years.

I think the situation is already clear. Dortmund must sell Haaland. Not for financial reasons, Dortmund's balance sheet was relatively good compared to many other clubs in the last two pandemic years. But because Haaland has the exit clause and he will most likely pull it before the end of the contract period. Dortmund has already found a successor in Adeyemi from Salzburg. The club and the player are in agreement, only the amount of the transfer fee is still being haggled over.

Do you mean the sale at the transfer window or in the summer? If in the transfer window, then I do not see any advantages from this either for Borussia or for Haaland. And strategically speaking, the once lucrative business like the sale of players should reach a new level - after all, the top clubs that regularly perform successfully in the Champions League get good money even with stars in their squad (and with stellar salaries). I think Borussia should try to become a top club.

Keep in mind that Borussia is already publicly listed. They can't easily sell more shares of the club or raise tremendous amounts of money otherwise. Maybe, but they will also have a massive problem with their fanbase. That's very typical these days for clubs from Western Germany where most of the population is working in extremely intensive sectors that require physical work. Manchester United was literally burned down for the Super League plans. I don't know what's going to happen in Dortmund if they sell the club completely or so, but that's what they would have to do in order to keep players like Haaland.

Dinamo has no chance whatsoever against Sevilla. Dinamo can maybe surprise teams that are good but overly offensive or teams that heavily depend on a few good players.

Sevilla is one of the most stable teams in Europe, they are balanced and compact and have huge experience in games like these and in tournament games. They are the worst opponent you can get if you are weaker than them - they will not come to play and have fun like Barcelona, Dortmund or Napoli - they will simply come and win - boring and ugly.

Sevilla is one of the favorite teams in the Europa League. My guess is that Sevilla, Dortmund and Napoli are the three main contenders for the European League title. I want to keep Barcelona out of the competition. Because, they are still fighting to get back to form.

Dinamo is definitely a good team. I don’t want to call them weak. However, Sevilla's strategy could not match Dinamo. Sevilla can play defensively and score goals. I don't think Dinamo will win by fighting against defensive tactics.

Dinamo had already made one big surprise last year when they beat Tottenham and knocked them out of the EL competition.
However, it would be a real surprise for Dinamo to repeat that miracle this year with Sevilla.
If Sevilla don't underestimate Dinamo and if all their players are healthy and ready for the game, Dinamo has very little chance of a good result.
As for the favorites to win this competition, it seems to me that Barcelona is playing better under the new coach and I think they have a good chance of winning this competition as well. Don’t underestimate them because of the current crisis.
Other obvious favorites are Sevilla, Dortmund and Napoli.

It must have been a huge disappointment for Dortmund, not having been able to qualify in this group. And that while they had started the group as favorites to even win the group. After 2 games 6 points and now eliminated. They also lose quite a few millions there. And Haaland will now leave in the winter or in the summer, so next season in the CL it will only get harder. Maybe they can achieve something in the Europa League. It just has a lot less prestige.
Right now dortmund only have a few competitions to get the trophy after they were eliminated in the champions league and also lost hope in the bundesliga after being quite far behind from bayern munchen, now dortmund chances are only in the DFB cup and also the European league, so I think to convince Haalaand to want to stay at Dortmund for at least one more season, Dortmund must be able to get these that two trophies this season.
If you can check Dortmund history they never compete for trophies mostly they manage to having better price of their star players in market right now same happening with Haaland as too much hype created by media and Dortmund so if they won nothing still it's not bad for them because right now they are thinking some good money for Haaland from any strong club which is possible if Real Madrid, Juventus or Manchester City have good interest few rumours Liverpool is also into this race, but it's not confirmed.

Right now they have very few chances in Bundesliga and UEFA Europa League but still not out of race, but their case is very strong in DFB because last year they won this cup from Bayern and this year still it's possible.

The teams' chances will be more or less clear after the play-offs for reaching the 1/8 finals when we see with what motivation they play. In addition to the obviously top match Napoli - Barcelona, I see 2 more very interesting matches:
Porto - Lazio
Leipzig - Real Sociedad
In knockout format, these teams can compete with any top club with a bit of luck.

Although Dortmund is a big and striking team in Germany but still, Dortmund's achievements in Europe are not so good. Indeed, in domestic tournaments Dortmund deserve to be considered for the title winner but in European tournaments like UCL and UEL, I think Dortmund still has no chance of winning the title. We can see how Dortmund's performance in the UCL before finally becoming part of the UEL now, Dortmund before being projected to advance to the knockout phase in the UCL because they were in a group that wasn't too difficult but Dortmund was still unable to get the expected results.

As far as I can remember, Dortmund's biggest success in European tournaments lately was their qualifying for the Champions League final in the 2012/13 season. They played against Bayern Munich in the finale but lost by 2-1. This was their closest chance for a European tournament title. Dortmund's biggest achievement in European tournaments history was their Champions League championship in the 1996/97 season.

Considering all of this, maybe they would like to make an effort to win the title in this tournament at least. And they need Erling Haaland also to have a bigger chance to do this.
I forgot about that but the moment of 2012/13 might be said to be the end for Dortmund too. Because before the final, Dortmund itself in the previous two seasons in the Bundesliga became successive title holders but finally that dominance was broken until now. Now, maybe for some people they are considering Dortmund will get to the UEL final, because they are also considering about Haaland. But for me personally, even though Haaland stays at Dortmund with the aim of getting the UEL title, I believe it will still be difficult for Dortmund because basically they rely on one player and not about good gameplay of teamwork as a whole.

Currently sevilla is the most club that has won the Europa league trophy with 6 trophies, sevilla experience in the europa league certainly cannot be underestimated, besides that sevilla current appearance is really quite impressive in the league and it can be a warning for Dinamo to be aware of sevilla game later, Dinamo has a bad record when the two teams have met each other so far and the last time sevilla met Dinamo was in 2016 during the Champions League group phase and at that time seviila managed to beat Dinamo with a score of 4-0, and it looks like this season sevilla will repeat the same thing is stopping the Dinamo move in the european league.

With current form and history both favouring Sevilla, but Dinamo Zagreb is also having some decent form recently, and they are improving their quality day by day but here when we have all big whales from Europe they have very fewer chances for going through and their first match is also going against team like Sevilla, but we can expect some tough resistance from them for having some chances for qualifying into next round.
Napoli vs Barcelona is also very tough match, so we will lose one off hot favorite in very early stage with Dortmund and Sevilla is already having some better chance for going through into next round.

Surely this was big disappointment but when any team is having some good number of injuries than they have no choice specially in big event like this.

In start, they were very good and beat teams ruthlessly but suddenly against Ajax they lost their form and few good players which give them very big upset defeats, so now they have their lessons from these matches, and they are doing some better with announcement that they are very keen to win this UEFA Europa Cup this year which is not easy as we have some very good number of teams also in hunt for this title we have to wait for two months after this break hopefully something good will happen for few and others have to wait for next year.

I believe that Dortmund should do their best to win the Europa League championship. Because they won't most probably be winning the Bundesliga championship this season as they already are far away from Bayern Munich in the standings now. But they should at least thrive for winning a championship in this season. Maybe they don't need the title of this tournament as they would join the Champions League by ending the season at a decent position in the Bundesliga. But it is worse for them if they end it without any title.
aCLS63 Dortmund are indeed a very strong team, but I don’t think that they’ll find it easy to win in the Europa League and they’ll have to bring their best game to win the league title. Lastly if they bow out of this league without reaching the finals then yes indeed it’ll be a disaster for them, hence it’ll be really interesting to see if they chose to prioritise winning this league or no.
Now Dortmund is already announce about their desire to win this year's UEFA Europa League mean they are also looking for something big in Europe and if they have done this then surely they will have very good price of Haaland because with this win his market value is also going to increase and in case of some terrible result it's also going to have some bad impact and with this surely he will stay here for one more season because too much hype around him some by media and some by himself is creating great pressure.

In local league they are at second and no team going to challenge them for this spot, so now it's time for having some tough work for this European glory.
