Portugal never fails, in my bets I always think of them, betting positively on their outcome of the match, it is incredible however how Cristiano Ronaldo is still present despite his age and continues to amaze everyone with excellent football
Portugal will surely remember Ronaldo's contribution for a long time and future generations will surely be proud of Ronaldo no matter how old the history. Ronaldo may not have won any World Cup trophy for Portugal but what he alone has done for Portugal no star of any other country could have done for any other country. Ronaldo is old enough but he is ready to give himself to the needs of the team and still when he steps on the field for Portugal, it is seen that he is trying his best to perform well for his team. A big tournament like the World Cup usually requires a good performance from everyone but Ronaldo failed in that aspect because his team does not have quality players.
While Portugal is a great football nation and they will end up being good in the future as well, I do not think they will be as good as they have been in the last fifteen or so years for a long long time.

There aren't any players like Ronaldo, not at Portugal, not at any other team in the world and this means Portugal will miss Ronaldo's contribution to the team without a doubt. With him, they had someone who could score easily, this dude is literally the highest goal scorer of all time, Pele and his family is making up numbers but Ronaldo is the highest scorer, while I do agree if Messi wants to keep going until after Ronaldo, because of the age gap, there is a possibility Messi could take that spot, right now Ronaldo is godly when he is playing and even at 40 years old he is great.

Portugal will not have someone like him, when he retires, he will not be replaced by anyone even remotely as good as him, and this will make Portugal a worse team for a long time until they find another talent maybe closer to him.
C'mon, let's be frank. Yes, Ronaldo is amazing but not quite right now, actually. Portugal will miss old Ronaldo, not current one because it's clear that current one doesn't perform well and as I see, his teammates also refuse to give him the ball most of the time.

By the way, to my mind, World Cup means nothing for an athlete. If an athlete plays in a trush team, they can't win a World Cup because football is a game of 11 people, not 1. One person can't beat 11, even if he is the best.
I also don't like the idea of comparing Pele and his achievements to Ronaldo or Messi because football was very different during Pele's time. Football wasn't competitive sport as it is today. Now, footballers have to be top athletes with top talent to be competitive while years ago the bus driver was playing in club's defence Cheesy

After all, he is the coach of the national team and bears the greatest responsibility - and when he says on national television that the senators (that's what they call senior players) will play as long as they want and as much as they want, it clearly depicts the situation in the national team. You cannot build a team around players who are over 35 or almost 40 years old, or have Kramaric as your main attacker even though he is mostly invisible on the field.

However, Dalic is a man who does not tolerate criticism and does not see too many problems in his team's game - and he knows that all he needs to do in order to continue to be a coach is to qualify for the next world championship. This will be a very difficult mission considering that in the last 6 games, Croatia clearly shows that they have big problems in defense (they did not concede a goal in only one game), and that they also do not function well in attack.
Dalic can be a good coach and he actually achieved big things with Croatia recent years. It's all about his past achievements with Croatia national team and it is contributed from their second golden player era, after a first era with Boban, Suker, Bokšić and Tudor. They worked and achieved these great things together but when players are older, not only passing their 30s, but 35s or nearly 40s, it's time for them to stay mainly on bench or retire their national career.

Dalic, by his sayings and too much privileges to old players in Croatia team, shows that he will fail in coming years. First he takes out all chances for young players to play and become more mature to carry their national team. Second very old players will have worse performances with time and Dalic's wrong approach like this will cause both short term and long term bad results for Croatia.

Our defense was very good on the world cup, while last night it was just awful. Even those who are usually great weren't on their usual level, and here in Croatia we blame our coach Dalic for that.

Yeah, it has finally been confirmed that Thomas Tuchel would be the new England coach, while that would translate into a new level expectation that comes with being the head coach of the English national team, I'm sure it is actually a win for all good football lovers, England have a lot of impressive and talented players but nothing much has been made of the squad. Aside from not playing an interesting style of football, I believe Southgate might have done the best job for the team in past decade and half, if not more. However, with the caliber of players they seem to have, they indeed should be asking for way more than they're settling for right, they ought to be some force to reckon with.

Not really sure, because most of the ex-english players are not really happy about the appointment of Thomas Tuchel as head coach. Quick to come out and say what they feel about the news has got to be no other than Man Utd and Liverpool ex-players, Jamie Caragher and Garry Neville. The same way they are quick to criticize the appointment is the same way they attack no british managers and players in the premier league competition. This is not the first time nor will it be the last time. S.Gate did, qualifying and playing two finals for them was great, but he was never a great manager tactically. Like I said before, Thomas Tuchel is indeed a better upgrade.

When it comes down to ex-players, media and pundits, England have always had it worse, their ecosystem is full of toxic individuals, most of who were not so much of a significant impact player doing their days, while some have also failed miserably when they tried their luck with coaching as well, and the others are just blatant knuckleheads with zero clue, all they have do is find fault, spark controversy and never really support the national team truly, I like Tuchel for the job, not because there are no other qualified candidate of English or British origin, but rather because there would be almost zero sentiment or less conspiracy theories as to why he calls certain players up over some others.

Spain was a head and shoulders above Serbia in this match. Maybe the latter had some problems with their line-up, but I think that even if they didn't, their performance wouldn't have been much different from what they had during the match. Spain completely outplayed them and deservedly scored their three goals and won. Serbs are good, but not this time.
Before Serbia got a red card, Spain was already ahead and had scored 2 goals. Moreover, Serbia got a red card in the 77th minute, their game dropped even more. Luckily for Serbia, they only conceded 1 goal after they started playing with only 10 players.

Moreover a goal by Alex Baena Free kick, really stunning.

Spain is keeping a record unbeaten and I like that, Spain performance yesterday shows that they don't depend on any player and they have a good coach when Yamal was released by the coach to return to Barcelona and Nico Williams was not also in the field many people think that Spain is going to suffer because no any wing player can play like the way Nico Williams and Yamal did but Spain show them that they don't depend on any player and they are capable of defeating any opponents.

Serbia is the country that challenges some big countries but Spain showed them that they are the best and scored 3 goals without not conceding any goal in the match, if Spain keeps performing well like this there is nothing that will stop them from winning the World Cup in 2026, and it will be very good if Spain keeps that coach as their coach for the 2026 world cup because that man is doing his job as a coach.

Turkey have left 4 matches behind in League B and we are leading our group with 10 points. Smiley I know that we aren't in a difficult group because of being in League B. But it is still nice to see our progress as of Euro 2024. Montella was criticized quite much in the first times. But now I believe there is less criticism on him. By the way we have so many really talented players in our squad which also makes big difference. They take a big responsibility in these wins.

It was expected outcome and any performance Serbia was trying do was just to clear some shame they would have gotten, actually the match was like a bonus match to all the gamblers yesterday because I saw so many people who add Spain to win the match and when I checked the odd it was worth it, however Serbia did not just loss the match but it was like a punishment to them because they never put themselves together from the first minutes to the last and the most saddest thing for them was having a red card and it was not even a player that doesn't have much value to them it had to be Pavlović who has always been very helpful to their matches.
Honestly nothing is "expected" in this kind of world, and I feel we are going to end up with a lot of trouble for the time being and I am not expecting any team to have a guaranteed win, we are going to end up with a lot of issues and troubles if we are not careful and we are going to bet on the teams we want to, and still be open to shock.

In any case, this is now over and we can go back to team football back again, but nations league will come back not too late, we are going to have some soon again, and this is going to be fun to bet on.

I like it more than team betting in many cases, because these are open to shocking results, these people get together less than club players, so getting used to each other is harder, and this opens up chances for underdogs to end up getting some wins.

While Spain managed to beat Serbia without any issues and obviously the better team, if somehow Serbia ended up winning against Spain, this wouldn't be some unheard of situation neither, we could say these type of games do happen as well. Haven't we seen any underdogs beat any favourites before? Just this week we have seen a few examples, that's why I like betting on these games a lot.

It was a great match, I agree, probably the most exciting match of the day  Cheesy
It reminded me of Croatia in the World Cup, playing with determination, one player less and managing to hold on to the result until the end
Everyone was impressed with their performance, they played with determination and went on to score 3 goals after conceding first. I thought they would win the match comfortably but they couldn’t hold on and allowed Poland to equalize and everything got worse after the red card that they had to defend their goal to at least secure a point.

That match was quite surprising for me. I followed it for a short time when Poland was leading. I didn't expect to see later 5 goals scored by both teams and certainly not in the first place Croatia to score 3 goals in like 7 minutes. Poland collapsed in these moments. Luckily later they were able to recover and get a draw. Even the red card got by Croatia player didn't help Poland to win.
The other matches had expected results mostly except maybe the draw between Portugal and Scotland.

The European champions were still too strong for Serbia. Spain dominated the match from the start, taking just five minutes to score through Aymeric Laporte after heading the ball from a cross from Pedro Porro. Serbia continued to struggle to keep up with Spain, but Pavlovic tackle outside the penalty box made things even more difficult for them. Spain remain unbeaten after continuing their winning run against Serbia, and they resume their Nations League campaign in November with their final two games against Denmark and Switzerland.

I am impressed with Spain even though most of their players were unavailable to participate in the international games during this period. Players like Lamine Yamal and some others were absent. But the striking performance of Spain is top-notch. Any country playing against Spain should know that it's not going to be easy. Yesterday's game was frustrating for Serbia. After holding the game in the first half from a 1:0 goal with the belief that they might score and equalize. They ended up conceding two more goals and got one red card in the game.

With the strength of Spain currently, i can agree that they will remain unbeaten even after they play against Denmark and Switzerland. They have played against a stronger opponent and still won i don't expect Denmark and Switzerland to be much of a problem to them in November. By then most of their injured players will be fit to play in that game.

It is noteworthy that this result has already left Poland outside the circle of contenders for first place. Therefore, in the next round we will see almost formal games Portugal - Poland and Scotland - Croatia (although any of the underdogs can surprise) and we will see the winner of the group in the game Croatia - Portugal, where a draw will be enough for Portugal.
Scotland are actually not a bad team and they can surprise Croatia with a top performance as they did with Portugal but i still think it will not be enough to make them secure a spot at the top. The favorite to make it out are still Portugal and Croatia.

Romanian team is on a roll with 4 victories out of 4 games and maximum points in their group and at this point we are already qualified further but also we finally have a great chance to be present at World Cup as long as thi team will still believe that they can achieve greater things together because they are truly a very talented generation and we Romanians haven't had this since Hagi generation a very long time ago.  Grin

Yeah, Portugal will certainly take the first place and they only need a draw in the remaining 2 matches to collect 12 points while Croatia is predicted only collect 11 points if they win once + draw and for Poland it seems that as you said it will end in the 3rd position, whereas before I hope Poland can compete there because they have Robert Lewandowski who is on fire in the league but unfortunately it is not in line with expectations.

By the way, from 4 matches have passed and we have seen which teams have the potential to go to the next round, Greece is one of the teams that attracts attention because it wins all the matches including against England so will they be able to make a surprise in this tournament? Greece did it a few years ago in another competition.

Before the match I thought Spain was going to struggle but just before 5 minutes Spain scored and that early goal made things more easier for them, Serbia intention was to sit back and counter attack when they can, the early goal spoilt their game plan and they where forced to come out and that was exactly what Spain wanted. The Spain team was without Yamine yamal and Nico Williams yesterday so I thought it was going to be difficult for them but you can just take anything off this Spain team. Spain dominated the game all through and had a comfortable win even though Alvaro morata missed a penalty in the early second half but after 10minutes later he got his goal and Spain become more comfortable in the game.
Unlike many fans and bettors. I was also one of those who predicted Spain would win over Serbia from the start but I didn't think it would be 3-0 so I only bet on Spain winning on the 1x2 bet type.
Playing defensively against a team with a style of play like Spain is not easy to succeed.
Against Spain with that style of play then the strategy is the same as usual without having to follow their game.
Spain's win over Serbia made it easier for them in the group.
As anticipated, Spain takes the lead in the Group 4 table by winning three of the matches with a draw. Serbia thought that they could succeed in having another drawn match with Spain at Spain's home because, in their previous meeting, Serbia drew(0-0) against Spain at their home. They wanted to have the same result as Spain, not knowing that Spain was already prepared to win them, not to allow such a thing without grabbing the 3 points from them, making them top the group 4 table with 10 points, Denmark 7 points, Serbia 4 points and Switzerland 1 point.

However, next month, Spain faces off against Denmark in an away match. I consider the match to be an away win for Spain even though it will not be an easy win for Spain.

Tuchel is about to sign for England! It is big news and I'm curious already. What do you think?

Imo, this would be a good deal for both Tuchel and England. The English team haven't been fortunate with trophies and Thomas Tuchel is a trophy oriental coach so it should be upONLY from here. England already has one of the best squad in the whole of Europe but somehow, they end up fumbling their bags and miss out on winning any of the available Europe competition. England will now benefit from top tier coach and we can finally get to see if their problem was from the coaching side or having a cracked squad isn't always the answer.

We will find out soon enough.

To be fair, we played with 1 player less only the last 10 minutes of the game. Imho, that red car for Livakovic start on Lewandowski was way too harsh as he was the first one that reached the ball.
