I wonder how those MDs in that hospital are paid? Where those money for their salaries come from? Bitcoin was created to give people money, a doctor in Romania is asking for hundreds of Euros  for a direct consultation (altough the Romania official money is Leu).

I was reading 2 days ago that a medical assistant was saying that he went to hospital duties for a day and he has not got his salary. I was in hospital with FORCE 10 years ago, and they have steal all that I had (money, clothes, etc). I've got no food and no sleep for 5 weeks, I was locked with force in 2 square meters as in prison for half a day.

Those men in the hospital were STEALING money from the patients to release them.
Thats an another topic to be discussed but to talk about on where these MD's do they get their pay then of course it will really be into the association that had been starting this kind of non sense idea.
Hospital launches up a rehab program for btc addiction? Dont know on how they do make out these kind of conclusions knowing that this isnt something that would be similar with other addictions
like drugs and gambling.A certain person might be dealing up too much with crypto but we are trying our best to make some profits and i dont see for it to be a problem.Well, there might be some
issues in time management but actually this is just a personal problem that can be settle by yourself.

That is somewhat misleading since being addicted to Bitcoin itself is not even a threat BUT the greediness to gain Bitcoin by doing unnecessary procedures is the problem. Its a safe precaution but maybe before proceeding into the creation of rehab program's, they can tackle the fact that people only get addicted is when they do not have enough knowledge regarding Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies. People will still spend some money when they go through the rehab UNLESS its free.

Trading is not only related to bitcoin. There are many other trading platforms also,  which are used by people on large scale then why a rehab for bitcoin traders only.If we talk about addiction then it depends upon the trader not on the trading platform.Bitcoin provides the traders with high returns so they prefer regularly trading in it and we can say that somehow  they are addicted to it but what if a trader is not interested in bitcoin. May be he is getting good returns by trading in stocks and is quite addicted to it. Will a new rehab will be launched for him? This is just because bitcoin is in limelight as the returns are quite high and the users are increasing day by day.

Lol! In that case, they could have opened a rehab program to treat stock market trading addicts. This way they could have received more patients.

If making money is an addiction, then I must say it's a good addiction because money is everything in the real world. I want to be addicted to making money and I bloody don't need a hospital to treat my addiction!

Bloody nonsense! (Not to op but to hospital)

British Hospital Launches Bitcoin Addiction Rehabilitation Program? Thank you, - I had a good laugh. This is from that area - a car mechanic will always find something to repair, even in a new car. The doctor will always find what to treat in a person - "heal to death."

I thought this was pretty funny at first glance but I guess it's sad it actuality.  I personally don't understand the addiction to gambling and "trading" cryptocurrencies, but I understand addiction is a tough thing and everyone's genetic makeup is different so one being addicted to bitcoin isn't really that far fetched contrary to what other comments in this thread say / believe.

So what's the difference between a stock trading addiction and cryptocurrency trading addiction? Is there even any?

Why are they trying to open a crypto specific rehab? Probably because they think a lot of people got rich trading crypto and rich people will pay more. They could go to a normal rehab the same one the stock traders or computer game addicts use but no. There's a special expensive rehab for crazy millenials waiting for them.

Utter nonsense! I see this as an organized effort sponsored by an organized corporate entity to de-frame bitcoin. If this hospital want to genuinely help people, they should start rehabilitation program to come out of facebook addiction. This facebook addiction is actually harmful for the society which only fills up company's account without fetching any personal benefit.

Spot on mate. This mad bull crap about BTC addition. FB, Instagram and such is probably where this should be targeted towards, not towards something that actually improves future finance and helps millions of people escape the centralized system.

I just can't be more upset to see that people would even go to such lengths only to attempt to slander crypto. These people should be ashamed from trying to stop progress.

Once a man, twice a child!
Time to face the truth lads, cryptos are nothing but a filthy addiction, not much different to gambling.
I guess the OP won't be proud to own those words above as his construction and view at a time like we are now. Things have changed and have become clearer now unlike what obtained a few years ago when a lot of people screamed that Bitcoin was a bubble. A lot of views and mouths have been shut off that mindset now. It's a good thing and from the look of things the community is winning a lot of converts daily. I should confidently say we are closer to mass adoption than we even know.

Aren't they working on a USB vaccination to cure this?
I guess they contracted that out to Africa. Timing and promptness are big issues for such a continent. 🤭

The only way I'd agree to go into BitCoin rehab is if I could pay for it with my bag of Crypto.

People become fanatic about loads of things and there seems to be no problem with it. They aren't seen as people that need rehab and don't even attract sanctions and all other stuff from the agencies or government, IIt therefore becomes a funny news to hear about the rehab for bitcoin addiction. The question is, what will they tread the addicts of? Something tha makes them feel good or what?

The idea of launching a rehabilitation program for bitcoin addiction is simply absurd. Why will someone who is a fanatic about a particular technology or someone who takes pleasure in trading or studying things relate to the latest technological innovations that disrupts loads of professional sphere be seen as an one that needs a mental rehab. I don't just buy it.

Hahahaha, do we really need help, bitcoin pays my rent, give me a car, and lot of nice toys, so, does it really damage my life? i don't think so.

If we see a rehab program it means they don't understand bitcoin... they should launch a dollar rehab program too  Grin

What is your reason to say that bitcoin is gambling ?. Bitcoin has been very useful for many people. Gambling is an act of drawing fate, and gambling is relying on luck alone. Bitcoin is synonymous with trading. Trading is a decision-making activity involving many aspects ranging from market research and analysis, financial management and risk management to psychology management to recognizing market psychology as well as the ability to control oneself. Trading and gambling is clearly different.

Its really funny exactly and confusing at the same time and I would want to know the amount of candidate they would have to test run their program. But there is really some take away to go about it because launching a program means they are acknowledging that crypto exists and for those facilitators too, they would have had some training on bitcoin to be able to "tackle" the problem. So either way, its still a win for bitcoin.

I am surprised that they actually open one for Bitcoin. Stock trading has been public for a very long time and I know many people who are also addicted in trading stocks but I did not hear any type of rehabilitation for stock trading. I know some people who have lost everything in trading stocks.

Anyway if their intention is to really help overcome addiction then it is okay, crypto trading is okay but too much everything will always end badly.
