Is anyone having problems withdrawing from Coinpot? I've had a few support emails at freebitco.in where the transactions IDs they are providing are all double spends.

This seems to be a frequent problem with Coinpot. I make several withdrawls to my FreeBitcoin account per week and sometimes the payment fails because of a double spend. I think this is happening due to them not keeping enough funds in their hot wallets and then trying to send multiple batches all at once with a low fee and they don't have enough coins for all those batches to get confirmed.

Just create this account today to say that I lost some bitcoins and litecoins on Coinpot, and I already gave up, i am tired. I have 2AF code enabled, but my cell phone was stolen and now I've lost everything. I did not get any secret keys to recover (I'm sure), and even if I had a secret key where I put it? There is no place and space to put it on the site..Am I missing something here??
So my only option was to contact their support. Of course they never returned me, yeah thanks for that too. I probably sent 30 emails over 3 months and never got a reply. There is no twitter, facebook or bitcointalk from coinpot (all pages out there are fakes or unofficial- like this one). Support email just a scam as well.

I am not a hacker,. when it comes to computers and codes I am a noob and stupid. Also my honesty and ethics would never allow me to hack a website. But now I understand the motivations that some of this guys have. It's a feeling of impotence, anger, sadness, all together.

For this reason I love freebitco.in, great support area with quick answers. You can just look how TheQuin is active here on bitcointalk and answer any question or problem. On freebitco.in If I lose the 2AF code I still have the secret key to put it, if I don't have the secret key  I can still unlock with the cell phone number (by paying very little tax) . I do not want to advertise but freebitco.in  is a awesome wallet and faucet, I should have transferred everything before losing the phone.

So the tip I give you guys is to not be like me.  I recommend that everyone disable 2AF code in the coinpot (even though this is vulnerable with hackers).
If you lose your phone with 2AF active on coinpot  ... then game over

Before the Challenges system was taken down, I noticed an issue with my claims counter...  I claim from each of the 7 Coinpot faucets multiple times per day.  I always get credited on Coinpot for my crypto coins and my tokens, but my Challenges claims counter was only giving me credit for my claims on BitFunCo and BonusBitCoin.

Anyone else notice that issue?  Any ideas on what might be causing it or how to fix it if/when the Challenges system goes live again?  There's no way i can get to 100 claims in a day if i can only get there 2 at a time!

I didn't get to complete any so I can't answer that, but I hope the team will revise the system instead of scrapping it altogether. Most probably the challenges could be bugged or didn't go through thorough testing.

No, for me i counted correct. Sadly i could not finish a challenge because of cheating idi...s.

Maybe thats interesting:

Some more Information

•Challenges WILL be coming back - but we need some time to ensure it works correctly and securely this time!
•The stars and leaderboard will likely have to be reset - there is unfortunately no way we can guarantee the integrity of the current state
•However, any coinpot tokens you have been rewarded so far are yours to keep!
•No other parts of CoinPot are affected - everything else is working fine as far as we know, and your coins/tokens are safe
•We will keep you updated with progress, please be patient.

Found new on the coinpot site.

ive not had any issues. how is it related to freebitco.in?
do you have any transaction Ids?

Customers depositing to us from Coinpot then contacting me to ask why we haven't credited it to their account. I then ask them for the transaction ID and find it is a double spend that cannot confirm. I don't want to give transaction ID for privacy reasons. I just wanted to gauge whether this is an isolated incident or anyone else had similar problems. It might just be they sent them with a too low fee and will sort it out.

ok i understand now
coinpot list all their withdrawals here https://coinpot.co/payouts/bitcoin so its fairly easy to lookup any blockchain payments from them there

So far I've no issues with any withdrawals although mine was last made more than a week ago.

I hate to say it but support response from CP has been literally zero from my end. I sent out two emails regarding one of my missing BCH deposits, and they never responded.

Plus, they don't (or hardly) reply to emails AFAIK. Many have also confirmed this so there's no way to receive any official confirmation from them.

I thought something looked suss when I saw how many stars some users had collected within hours of the launch.

I noticed that too. But to think of it, claiming 100 times a day seem kinda crazy for those working a full-time job.

Oh, I only noticed news about Challenges only after it was suspended. Interesting addition. I'm not claiming from their faucets actively, so I can't benefit much from these challenges. But for more active players it's a great thing. Unfortunately, some abusers found loophole in the system. Let's hope that Coinpot will re-launch Challenges soon with some security improvements.

Damn, that escalated quickly.

I hope they revise the challenges because they help boost our faucets income.

It's like a leaderboard kind of thing. They're incentivizing more for being more pro-active.

For example, the daily challenges include claiming 100 times from their faucets (e.g. BTC, LTC and such). If you accomplish them, you're rewarded with stars and tokens depending on the difficulty. 1 star nets you 100 tokens and 5 stars net you 500 tokens, but of course 1 star means easy and 5 is difficult.

The top 25 star earners enjoy huge token payouts.
