Lol. Not that much in circulation. Hold my 20  Smiley Even if it was 1:1 with BTC, totaling 20BTC thats not that much of a loss on investment.

Well I don't know about anyone else but i'm holding till I see and advert like -

1 xGH/s ASIC for 1BTB  Lol

It's a joke right.......right....

Not really. Very little in circulation. It may be possible

This has now turned into a game of chicken!

Who is going to sell first?

Now that Bter.com has christened "BitBar" someone has to sell at the opening price,
or maybe not.....

To hold or let go    Grin

Probably best to wait until the true price is known. Coinchoose has a powerful effect on people.

Heh - thank you Smiley

There is no link yet for BTB/BTC on Bter. Wait for that first guys... At the moment only forum members here know about this possibility.

Gotcha - I misread above.  Will it stay at that for a few days?  If so, I can add to coinchoose based on that reward as work on figuring out the true way to derive it automatically.

It slowly goes down (or it has been).... I'm guessing if hash rate were to drop up, it would adjust upward though.

As an alternative, you could scrape the block reward and diff off of http://bitbar.info/stats/index.php at least for now.

Sorry I can't help with that, but user: Dreamwatcher may be able to, http://btb.cryptocoinexplorer.com/ is his site.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/dreamwatcher-56884

or user John Tobey, he created the API:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/john-tobey-10593

Actually - it may just be to know what variables in a formula would equal the potential block reward.  For example, difficulty * last block size = potential block reward.  It is helpful if those variables are one of the ones that are available thru ABE or, if not, thru the bitbard client as I can extract those quite easily.

Based on your earlier post, is the reward around 20 per block now?

Can someone who is knowledgable provide some predictions for the future supply of bitbars?

I would like to know at what rate they are being mined, and what is the predicted supply in say:

1 week
4 weeks
3 months
6 months

Currently we have (http://bitbar.info/stats/index.php):

BitBar Network Stats:

(Last updated: 2013-05-08 00:56:53 UTC/GMT)
Difficulty: 20.0722
Total block: 6482
Total money supply: 2747.91921
Last block reward: 0.156952
Network hash rate (Gh/s): 0.599

There's 144 blocks per day on average, same as Bitcoin, just multiply that by the current block reward, you'll get a good estimate of money supply produced per day/month/year.

That helps a bit - but still wondering how I can derive it from the info via the API at that specific block explorer.

This is simply impossible. If you could predict the less volatile bitcoin market a few months in advance it would be easy to make a fortune.
But short term is possible: if hashing power stays relatively stable, there would be around 21-25 bitbars generated by the whole network on a daily basis.

Is there a simple mathematical calculation derived from info on the public block explorers that can derive the approximate rewards per block?  I heard the reward varies and to get an accurate picture for my site, I need to figure out what is the block reward for mining.

Here is some rough data from here: http://btb.cryptocoinexplorer.com
