If someone wants to help with merits, Checking the post history is the best option so you can spend your merits on which post deserves it  Wink
Be patient, there are many generous user who will help low ranking users with merit here including you. Don't force them to do it if you don't have quality posts. At the right time, you will find what you are looking for. So continue your activities with constructive posts.

You know, not many users are willing to review highly rank user posts especially when they have more than 1000 merit. Even if there are some helpful thread, it's getting harder and harder to find posts worth sticking out there for review out of embarrassment or something. So as long as you still rank low [your chances are higher], then try to post something constructive so that when they review your post, they find something worthy.

Well, My post Tones weren't like this which line you quoted. This quoted line shows that I am desperate to get merits! This is not what I mean here. I tried to suggest to the "Patrol" guy that if any users want to help any other guy with merits, they shouldn't merit the countdown post. Instead, they should check the posts of this user and spend their merit on a good post. Of course, there was a lack of explanation and a typo which is why you get it wrong. Now it looks like I was asking people to review my post. God damn it!

It wasn't meant for me.

You are very close to achieving full member rank. A few merits will earn you the status of a full member of this forum. Maybe soon I will see full member written next to your name. Your merit number has already reached 82. You need only 18 more merits to achieve the rank of full member. Hope you edit your post and apply for 18 merit. Congratulations in advance.

Thank you very much. Yes. I have edited my posts and updated my merit count.
I wanted to make sure I am not rushing for merits! It will make things worse! It would be great If everyone doesn't merit the countdown post. If someone wants to help with merits to others, Checking their post history is the best option so you can spend your merits on which post deserves it  Wink

Cheers!

Some users see this thread as a means to get merited,if not why would they not read instructions on a thread before giving your count down. Some users might have even read it but it will be ignorant of the rules and regulations just because they are eager to get more merits which is now destroying the purpose of this thread. Since it is self moderated by OP, I believe he will have the time to delete those users that are not qualify to make their count down here. This is a good move to keep this thread from spamming and also to caution those users who feel they are too lazy to read or ignorant of OP.
Their rush to get additional merit and rush to get promoted to a new rank makes them ignore some of the important rules mentioned in the Op. The purpose of Thread V2 is clear, Op is also moderating this Thread to prevent spammers from breeding here.
Never worry mate, Op will immediately put any non-qualified countdowns in the trash. Just look after this thread has gone through four pages, only a small number of users do countdowns that don't meet the requirements.
salute to Op for keeping an eye on this thread from spammers.

I have given you a few merits, but I would also like to give some advice. I looked through your post history(just the 1st couple pages) and noticed you don't use capitalization very well. I did see if here and there though which made me wonder if you used chatGPT and copy/pasted some answers? It just looked odd that 90% of the posts I checked had 0 capitalization and then 10% did. I would suggest work on that. Other then that, you do have decent posts and getting the meris needed shouldn't be so hard. Good luck!!!
thank you for the advice and merit that you provide. in the future I will be even better and will improve the quality of my posts.

friends, end this discussion that continues to spin without finding an end. OP already has rules, and let him do it according to what OP understands. reprimanding and deleting those who violate it is not a problem. Deleting without notification is also fine. it was stated in the OP.
this forum needs people who are willing to take their time to read. if they don't like it then they don't have to. just delete it every time they apply. If they are still crazy tag them with the craziness.
let this thread get back to its function again.

But by responding and admonishing that the person has violated the thread rules, it's also not wrong, even though the OP can delete when deemed not to comply with the rules.
I don't think it's necessary because if the OP deletes post that break the rules, then the response post after that must also be deleted because it's no longer relevant. But of course it depend on how the OP moderated this thread although so far I think moderators will delete anyone's post that quote your deleted post.
Countdowns that don't meet the requirements need to be responded to and rebuked as learning or reminding users who don't read the rules in Op. Indirectly they already know the location of the error and prevent the assumption of favoritism or only certain users get merit assistance here.
Of course Op has his own policy in moderating this thread to make it cleaner from spammers who are lazy to read the rules. I think it is necessary to leave some inappropriate countdowns as examples for other users so that the same error does not continue in the future.

One thing about self-moderating threads is that the OP can remove any post that doesn't comply with the rules, is spam, or something like that. So even if you both respond to some users who don't read the thread rules then eventually the OP will delete the post after realizing it.

So I don't think it's always good to respond to some rule breakers or who don't read the rules even if your intentions are good. It can also bring down multiple repeat posts in the thread.
Just like me doing a countdown without reading the rules on v1 which the OP has now locked.
Not responding when someone makes a countdown to the next rank can be a response to that person that something went wrong.

Let's say you are given some merit assistance by those of us who are active in this thread as much as you need to get to the next rank, but still your ranking will remain at the current rank because the amount of activity does not meet the requirements for rank up.

The OP has created this thread with pretty good intentions. In our opinion, the rules made by the OP and some additions from several other members are not too heavy for you to fulfill. It just takes a little patience.
You are too hasty.
