I will choose A for the safety of the athletes and the audience because we already know how deadly this virus. We cannot risk precious lives and those years of practice by the athletes if ever they get affected by the virus. Scientists all over the world are trying their best to find the best vaccine that could truly eliminate the virus at once. Let's just put our hopes on them and stop being persistent because it is for our best and if you are so arrogant to know how bad it is, just look at the first country struggle to survive all day because they can't stop the virus from spreading where they have the most advanced medical technology than the third world countries.

There were first world countries that eventually able to handle out the widespread of the virus. If you do talk about US current situation then theres some careless actions that they had made thats why theyre the most heavily affected or shall we say top 1 in number of infected persons worldwide but mentioning about the possibility of same situation on other countries specially on third world countries then it would really be hard to control it
once it do able to scatter.

Option A would be the best choice but some associations now are launching up events or do continue and cant wait for the vaccine to be available yet they have said that it wont really that simple to be suspended for more months yet it do heavily affecting when it comes to revenue thing which is understandable.

Some national championships have already resumed competitions. For example, the German Bundesliga in football. I think the rating of these competitions after such a break and deficit is huge for the fans. But for now they can enjoy the game on TV - if I understand correctly, the games are held without spectators in the stands.

Watching sports live in the venue nowadays is not fun, you like to enjoy watching your favorite game and yet you have the worries that you might get infected with the covid-19, I guess that is not good, you'll never have 100% enjoyment with what you are doing, as for me, I'd rather watch on TV and grab some beer and feel safe.

Reasonable opinion, I agree with you. But until recently, you had no choice at all - the championships were completely stopped and you could not watch the competition even on TV. Now everything is gradually returning to normal, but the fact that fans who like to watch the game live will get this opportunity in the last place is obvious.

No vaccine fine we kicking off but slowly. Covid 19 can't win the battle and shut down everything. The stop of sport then because of the corona virus was something we needed at that point -maybe because of the fast spread or where we not expecting it?- but we now have more precaution against Corona  virus

Exactly, there are precautions and safety measures. As days, weeks, months passed by, we have lots of ways now to prevent the spread of the virus only if followed properly.

No need to actually wait for the creation of vaccine as things can get back slowly as long as the proper implementation of health protocols will strictly follow. So strict to the point that it might be annoying. Better have it that way just to be safe.

Sports leagues do have thousands and thousands of employees and not all can be supported by the government while waiting for the vaccine on which currently, there is still no specific date when it will be made. Rather than wait, it's better that business will come back bit by bit.

This whole extravaganza with the vaccine is like fiction.
Even if they manage to create a vaccine in the next six months, at least the same amount of time is needed to test it.
What's the point of a vaccine if the virus mutates?

I like that in the US, Trump said that vaccination is voluntary, while in many other countries they are going to introduce mandatory vaccination.
I'm not going to become a vaccine beta tester and I do not advise you.

If the vaccine will be developed in about 6 - 8 months, it will not be possible to stop the sports for that period of time. I understand the risk involved in it but if other things are opening and lockdown is lifted, why can't they lift the ban on sports by taking necessary pre-cautionary measures ?
I am not sure if the vaccine can be found in about 6-8 months because to get the right vaccine will not as simple as we thought.
Needs more test to have the right vaccine so it can be distributed to all hospital to cure the infected people.
In this month, the sports event will start again, so there is a chance for the player to come back and entertain people.
I hope that the event will be okay because the vaccine is not yet found.
But people need to be careful if they want to watch at the stadium because I think many people will want to do the same.

It's on the talks and rumors we have heard that some sports were already preparing themselves to get back on track. Just follow this section and you will see how many sports are in the talks of making a comeback. Some were already set and have schedule so there will be or no vaccine, they will go back in action. As long as they have certain rules to follow regards to the prevention of covid 19, they will be granted to be back again by their sports organizations and governments.

I would definitely prefer the same rather than exchanging the safety of your health and into your family just because you do like to watch the game live yet we can do it remotely. For now it does really need up some
little sacrifices and just be patient for things to go back in to normal.

For now we should really be keen on going to crowd places because we know on what are the risk when virus do infect you (potentially die). We do need the vaccine but it seems this would really took some time
and its better to be safe for now than sorry.

There are already events which are resuming but still do follow strict procedures since we do know that we are still on a crisis.

You cant have an audience in a normal way, thats the biggest thing.   People sitting out in a field spread out and watching a large TV display board is possibly ok but then thats not the same as watching it directly I guess.
The sports themselves is fine in alot of cases I think, like Snooker I saw today I never saw a real reason to stop it.   They only have to alter it slightly to have the referee wait and keep a distance from the player.   Contacts sports imo should be delayed or greatly reduced in frequency, they are restarting soccer matches but they risking some of them getting ill and perhaps 1 or 2 will die for the sake of waiting a year I dont especially agree with that but I understand it represents more then just the players on the field.

Anyone who does have some kind of related or any kind of health concern should be protected in being able to say no I will not attend games but thats hard when its a team game.    People should not have to risk their lives because they run high blood pressure or whatever is causing a knock on effect.

@everyone. We would be dead if we wait hehehehe. There has never been a successful vaccine for the coronavirus group of viruses, not a successful vaccine for Sars, Mers, the common cold.

Do not be the guinea pigs if your country's health care system declares that they have the vaccine available hehe.

You're right. Even now, the above vaccines are not a 100% guarantee that you will not be infected with a new strain of one of these viruses.
Scientists now say that the virus that reached Europe is a mutated species of the Chinese virus.
It is possible that by autumn we will see more than one mutation, which will make the vaccine simply useless. But the story with antibodies looks much more convincing.

I have read and watched some news concerning the proper procedure for the release of a new vaccine, if I am not wrong, it takes 6 months or even years to make sure that the vaccine will really work and have the least possible side effects that might hard a human body. If that is the case, most of the casinos or other businesses might lose, resulting to force opening not following jurisdiction. Or the best way to make this happen is to launch a casino platform online.

Another possibility to happen is to force launch the vaccine if there's any available not considering how long its proper procedure because right now, we are in a global pandemic and the fusion of world best vaccine researchers and scientists is needed.

Well pointed out. Everybody talks about vaccines like they'd be the holy grail. No.
Medicines that help the body fight this, ameliorate symptoms, help recovery may be easier to get discovered and approved. Yes, most probably they are not as profitable as vaccines...

I have seen this thread only now but I want to reply even if late.
No, we don't need the vaccine to start sports again.
Athletes are people who are physically better than many other people and are often privileged with the possibility of making multiple swabs.
Unlike them, the worker does not have the opportunity to do tests and they are forced to work in factories for a thousand euros a month...
Sports can reopen obvious without people in the stadium.

You know, in a team there are a lot of people who work for the team and they are not as physically healthy as the players.
Also, there are a lot of fans who love going to the stadiums and watch football.
The vaccine is not produced mainly for the players but for all other groups that are involved in the sports industry.

I guess most sporting events will start before a vaccine is out in the market. Just read a new thread about English Premier league they might be organising the event in the month of June with any crowd in the stadium. They still have to get a clearance which I am sure they will get.

There are a lot of things that will now change because of this damm virus. I guess we all have to live with it now, I am not sure whether a vaccine will be out by the end of this year but, one thing is clear it will take more time than we can think.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
They say it's possible that soccer will be without fans until 2021.

This how the stands of the stadium looked like during the latest Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich game:

snip

It's a pity that there are no fans. Players definitely need them.

But, it turns out that financially wise, fans are not that needed any more. According to BBC, Premier League match day income from fans dropped from 45% in 1992 to 13%(of total revenue) last season. I believe we have a similar situation in other countries too.

So, the games themselves will be resumed soon, but, for better or worse, they will be going without fans for some time.

Also it can argued that since most people are still trying their best to stay home as much as possible that the sports audience all over the world will go up which means the television rights teams will be paid will go up as well generating even more profits, as such popular sports like soccer will not suffer much if at all, however when it comes to sports that are not so popular it is very likely they are not going to return for quite some time as they need the physical presence of the public to remain profitable.
