is the world can afford to wait for that vaccine?
I am sure the world can afford to wait for that vaccine. The world making a recovery from the polutions that is already happen from a long time ago.
This is a no no for me. If the government will just wait for the vaccine to come in their country, the economy will be heavily battered and it will be a huge problem for them.

That is why most of the governments around the world are slowly opening some of the establishments in some places in their country that aren't affected by the virus so that at least there is a cash flow for the workers and employees. Some of the big companies worldwide are already at a loss because they can't work and they can't get a revenue at all. In this first quarter, most if not all of the huge companies have a negative percentage of income compare to last year because of the virus and that is huge for them. They can't afford to wait for the virus to be gone and after that they will back to business.

Some of the establishments can open already especially for the places who have little to no cases of COVID19 in some places.

I'm not sure if everyone could wait longer than a few months because like what they've mentioned there's no actual date, for now we only have estimations that could be pushed back depending on the progression of the researchers.

Both options have pros and cons but in the situation of sports i'll go with B as long as they're given the go signal to continue the matches. Some of the leagues only have 1/4 of the season left so why not let them finish since it won't take that long.

There can literally be no such vaccine that could remove this virus from our body completely, what will be here is a newly developed immune system of humans where our bodies will be able to fight with this pandemic by becoming so immune. The current treatment of isolation looks much more promising rather than going for vaccine tests.
What is the magic recipe to have a better immune system, everyone is preaching about isolation, mask, washing your hands and all the fancy stuffs but no one is advising about how to improve the immune system. One thing you need to understand is that no economy will survive without functioning and you cannot isolate everyone for a longer period of time as the virus will be here for a longer period of time than anticipated before.
But it wont really be the same into that 1918 pandemic where it takes 2-3 years before it completely gone and they didnt able to make a vaccine with that.We cant be sure if this one would end up on the same situation or
would really need to invent or make that vaccine asap.
When we do compare about immune system then i would say that people who lived in the past have much more stronger immune system. Why? they have much better lifestyle in terms of food and some sort compared nowadays where people are not minding much when it comes to nutritional intake aspects. This might be little bit off-topic but this one isnt bad to mentioned on.
In the talks of sport resume then we would need that vaccine first before anything goes back to normal because its hard to implement standards when actions are very limited.

It is really hard to choose between the two.
For option a, we can wait for the vaccine but the economy of the whole world will fall. People will suffer in the end while keeping the security of our health.

For option b, the whole government will not be able to minimize the spreading of the virus. We can continue our daily activities, slowly going back to normal, the economy will be saved but the risk of having the virus is high.

But in the end, I prefer to choose the first one. It is better to have secured health than risking it with my family.

The problem with option A is that there is no guarantee that the vaccine will be created. How many years have scientists been looking for an AIDS vaccine? And there may also be a situation like with the flu virus that mutates every year and the old vaccine no longer works for it. For these two reasons, I consider option A to be completely unrealistic.

This is also why the mayor in Las Vegas is planning to reopen business in her town coz she is worried about their economy because private business is what makes her town lively. On the sad part, doctors and scientist might take longer to find the vaccine on the virus, some says that it will be found later than 6 months.
If they could test everyone and restrict people from other states and only allow them after a complete check up and if they can take precautions of that sort then they can open the business. Recently UFC put an event together and it was a success as they test each and everyone taking part in the event and one of the fighters tested positive along with his coaching staff and they quarantined them.

If precautions and testing can be done in a proper manner then they can restart the business knowing that everyone is safe and tested.

Yeah, that's why every government is now in dilemma, and we cannot really suggests what they should be doing right now, what we can do best is just to stay home to avoid getting sick to add patient in the hospital. It is much safer to choose option A.
^ I respect your perception but sorry I oppose it because I choose the letter "B". This option will be my choice for the people in sports events needs to earn as well though it will be risky for them with extreme safety measures that will be implemented and players would agree in the situation then they should start the season. We probably think that this is only beneficial to the sports broker but given a chance employees of other industries will take all the risk to earn for their family regardless if the vaccine is not created yet, same as with the sports organization they just only want to give earnings to the people who work for their games. Nevertheless, the vaccines will really be the best solution once it is created then everything may go back to normal.

It is much safer to choose option A. It will be a much safer if there's already a vaccine in circulation. However, I can accept option B with certain conditions. The country should already have flatten the curve and slowly coming back to normal. And just like what you've said, no audience. Additional to that, they should prioritize the safety of the players too. How can the league ensures that their players are all covid free? Some sports are physical. One player who has the virus can infect other players. One scenario is testing of the players every single day or every other day.

We still don't know when the vaccine will be available, scientists do their best to secure and deliver it as soon as possible. We should need to consider the facts that if sports will continue there might again some cases of virus. We should also consider the safety of the players as well, I know a lot of people will also disagree if the players will take the game  while they also know that someone have already the carrier of the virus. I'll go for the option A to secure all possibilities that it might not spread any longer even it takes a lot of time.

All the scientists around the globe are working day and night for the vaccine. I hope that they will come with a vaccine/cure process very soon. But experts say that a vaccine needs times to develop, it could have terrible side effects. In particular, to measure the side effects, it needs a fair amount of time. It is also quite possible that scientists failed to make any vaccine for it in the near future. There are lots of diseases like HIV, hepatitis C and more which are decades old but still have not any vaccine.
So the question is how long world can afford for a vaccine. I think we need to resume it slowly with proper precautions.

I believe that the scientist will found the vaccine to cure people infected from the virus. The scientist needs to test the vaccine before they give the vaccine to the people because the scientist needs to make sure that it really works for them.
of course they will find a vaccine but the thing is when?this is not getting better as the virus is coming back and bringing second waves.
We don't know the time when the vaccine will be available, and we can only wait for that news. I am sure the scientist still working hard to find the vaccine. We need to trust them that still test so many vaccines before they can find the right formula while we can still stay at home.

I think the world will survive until scientists can found the vaccine, and the world will find how they can struggle in hard situations like this. People itself still trying to stay at home and still survive because they believe that they can help the government to reduce the infected people from the virus.
survive?yes the world will but the damage?this is what the main concern here as the longer this virus are affecting the world is the worst the economy brings.
The damage will be over by itself because the world has the time to recover the damage. With we are staying at home, you can see the pollutant in many countries has reduced and that gives the world to recover from the damage. And for the people, they will have the time to survive in the hardest situations while we still waiting for the vaccine.

It will still depend on the number of cases. As for me, it will be hard to put lots of lives at risk just to pursue sports events.
I'm sure that it won't take years before they discover the vaccine for this virus so it is better to have an assurance first. They should wait for the vaccine first than pursuing events amid the virus treat. They must consider health and safety first.

a) wait for the vaccine even it will take years, end of the discussion
This is the best option for me and I think that many sports fan will agree, personally this is the biggest stake I will bet on because in my opinion it is better to be safe than sorry. The virus is a serious threat and having the people getting vaccinated for it will be a big help in the long run.

b) resume slowly with several considerations such as no audience, limited number of staffs or any important things to do before considering resuming, unless the area or place was heavily affected
If organizers were to resume sporting events, this will cause an influx of people gathering in mass causing an extension in infection to increase because there is a virus that went to the event and unknowingly infected people. Making conditions that were mentioned above will be ineffective because no matter the measure they will take, and no matter how tight the security is, there will be people who will slip the cracks and mistakes will be committed. In my opinion, limiting the number of people watching the sporting event is a loss for the organizer because there will be lesser ticket sales and tv broadcast is not enough for sports.

No one has yet discovered a vaccine against Covid-19 China the world's most developed country also failed to invent a vaccine for the disease Not just sports but all kinds of everything in the world is off the industrial business. However, some control of the situation will actually open up sports and all sports industries Everything has come under control economically and the risks have been reduced a lot If the vaccine is not ready it will take some time to start the game again.

We know that scientists around the world are working hard to develop the Covid vaccine. On the other hand, the world's rulers are under pressure to reopen their economies to at least half their capacity. To prevent the spread of the virus or a second wave of infection.
What is happening in the US is worrying. Today, Dr.Fauci will speaks to the Senate: That the early reopening of the economy risks "Needless suffering and death. "

This is a difficult question since sport is not just entertainment but actually a branch of the economy. And this industry is no less important than industry. I think there is no way to endlessly wait for some kind of complete "salvation", it is necessary to gradually launch the entire economy with the necessary precautions. And sporting events must also resume.

Unfortunately one cannot do either 1 or 2 entirely.
I do think limited sport Events would be allowed eventually so that one is able to give a push to the economy. But unfortunately Corona virus can spread even if the person is standing in the same room as you and the ventilation is not proper plus you have been there since 10+ minutes.
Maybe people should be allowed to play wearing the PPE , personal protective equipments , but the only games they would be able to play in the arena would be the ones requiring mind rather than physical attributes.
Therefore I do think even if the government allows the ones who are actually in the line with gambling won't happen that soon . We have to wait for a year the least for the vaccination to come and 1 year again for the vaccination to work , therefore I do not think this can be expected that soon.

In fact, the resumption of European national championships depends only on the decisions of countrys leaders. In Belarus, for example, the national football championship is successfully continuing. Moreover, attending matches for spectators is allowed there without any restrictions. And this, apparently, does not create any additional problems in this country, despite the wide spread of coronavirus.
