Dunno why people are insinuating that people are trying to spread FUD saying that they have been stopped their btc withdrawals from stamp.

How many people do you need to report the same thing before you beleive it.

Oh here's my proof (check the date and time)

2FA Bitstamp account here that can't also withdrawn.

I also received that email in my spam folder :/

ok sooo

looks like there was a phishing attempt on stamp users.
stamps saw this and decided to stop all BTC withdraws for the users safety ( just incase some poeple fell for the phishing e-mail )

if true, Stamps is fucking awesome!

That would be great.

OK there is nothing wrong, I just contacted Bitstamp (I live near them) and they activated withdrawals for me right away, they told me it is a safety precaution, and they will make an annoucment and send e-mails with instructions to how withdraw..

Quelle surprise. The level of FUD on here is laughable. Its like watching a bunch of panicked gazelles..

In my view we are working through the last bubble and gox like it or not is the only story in town. Karpeles could not have handled things in a worse or less damaging way. Karpeles has killed his exchange with this behaviour. It seems likely he is trying to regain solvency by manipulation but who in there right mind would trade there again?

What annoys me is the unbelievable amount of damage and bad PR this is inflicting on the rest of the bitcoin economy. It makes bitcoin look like a joke in the eyes of the great unwashed who may have been tempted previously into dipping a toe in the water.

Oh yeah fonzie you are ignored.

Thank you for actually checking! At least Bitcoin's users still know how to talk to each other.

I have also had a junk email saying I lost 3.201 from support@btcguild despite never having mined with them. I just presumed it was a phishing attempt

Screw It, Let's Do It
So we have at least two users who cannot withdraw reporting that they received some spamscam e-mail supposedly from btcguild in the last few days. Could we be on to something?

I told you before about the 34k coins stolen from various bitstamp accounts.
They won't post any statement about anytime soon.

Better move your coins to cold storage (if you are able to hold for 2-5 years) or sell them (if you bought for less than 10$). You won't regret it. This will go down quiete a bit.
