Oh well, then it's okay of course. I mean, isn't that the textbook definition of tolerance -- "not getting worked up about all kind of shit, except of course the stuff you really disagree with."

Even before our current "age of information" it has been a known quantity that astrology and all of these psychic games of foreknowledge, including all religion, are just wholesale invention grown on top of ignorance. It does become tough to tolerate when one sees a person over the age of 12 being tricked into believing, spending money on, and putting resources into such fraud.

When passing a 3-card monte table on the street in New York a few people will gather and watch as the scam unfolds. A couple will participate. Eventually someone calls the cops. This person who calls the cops doesn't do it because they can't "tolerate a card game." They understand it is a con and doing something to help prevent idiots from losing money, and maybe to help stop a little bit of danger in the world.

When you're 8, Bigfoot is intriguing, Loch Ness Monster is a possibility and maybe you wonder if you might find an actual Genie in a bottle. Once you grow up, if you still believe in reading chicken entrails, or that a magical undead sky wizard created you, other folks may not be as tolerant of it for the same reasons as the street monte game. Ignorance and zealotry for "mysterious forces" are detrimental to the progression of mankind.

It's one thing to sit in here and tolerate speculation on the mysterious forces affecting the price of bitcoin -- we signed up for that when we entered the Speculation area, more specifically this Wall Tracker thread. It's another to have to tolerate ignorant religious propaganda and/or endless fraudulent psychic promotion. Please start your own "I Don't Understand Everything About The Universe Yet Therefore Gawd Musta Dun It Tracker" thread or "Mysterious Psychic Stuff That 'Man May Never Fully Understand,' So It Must Be Magically Real" thread.

I get the feeling we are still at the Mosaic Browser stage (analogy to the early days of the internet) and not even at Netscape, but getting much closer.

Mosaic was the early days of the web. If you want to talk Internet, it goes back a lot further than that.

I cannot trust a rally in a market where people can't get the USD out.

Except for April, never has the price been more fake and artificial than right now.

That seems so simple and evident to me.

Why is the sentiment so bullish? Did I miss some big piece of news?

I hope some big news is happening soon, and maybe the buyer whale/s already know/s it

one thing that many people are not aware of or do not want to accept is that technical analysis =chart patterns = price is a leading indicator

This means that the news will follow prices, apart from very short term news spikes.

We anticipated well the rally we are seeing now because an important trend line has been broken to the upside .

Finally the price is high enough that I can get the word out about my trillion dollar Bitcoin casino!

Minus the delay withdrawals everything else is looking solid.

I'm thinking a slight bull run gets Gox out of the bind, which is what I bet on.

I bought ten more yesterday which is a lot for me. It feel like I'm betting on Gox though, and this I also attribute to the cautiousness of the market.

IMO due to the discrepancy between the bid sum and ask sum, we should be already knocking at the 105 wall.
We are probably not there yet because there's still strong seller resistance above 102. Maybe tomorrow.

Its odd that the price is moving up so slowly. I guess this is a bit like falling thru the 90 wall on the way down to 65. Huge chunk of bids on orderbook eaten, price barely moved. Then all hell broke loose.

https://bitcoin.co.th/trading-suspended-due-to-bank-of-thailand-advisement/?bettertitle

(thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.2825517)

During the past several months Bitcoin Co. Ltd., in Thailand, has been in the process of registering with the various Thai government agencies in order to operate in a lawful manner.  Included in this due diligence was to reach out to the Bank of Thailand, the governing body that regulates financial transactions in Thailand, and ask for guidance as to any applicable licenses in buying and selling bitcoins.

Initially the Bank of Thailand had bypassed the company’s money exchange license on the basis that Bitcoin was not a currency, however the company was invited back, on July 29th, 2013, to participant in a conference about how Bitcoin works in general, and business operations of Bitcoin Co. Ltd.   The conference was held with about 15 members of the Bank of Thailand in attendance.  During this conference directors of Bitcoin Co. Ltd. gave a presentation about the workings of Bitcoin, the benefits of Bitcoin, incite into the company’s operations and future implications of Bitcoin.

At the conclusion of the meeting senior members of the Foreign Exchange Administration and Policy Department advised that due to lack of existing applicable laws, capital controls and the fact that Bitcoin straddles multiple financial facets the following Bitcoin activities are illegal in Thailand:

Buying Bitcoins
Selling Bitcoins
Buying any goods or services in exchange for Bitcoins
Selling any goods or services for Bitcoins
Sending Bitcoins to anyone located outside of Thailand
Receiving Bitcoins from anyone located outside of Thailand

Based on such a broad and encompassing advisement, Bitcoin Co. Ltd. therefore has no choice but to suspend operations until such as time that the laws in Thailand are updated to account for the existance of Bitcoin.  The Bank of Thailand has said they will further consider the issue, but did not give any specific timeline.
