I didn’t expect we’d see a recovery so fast. The market wants to go up and every time I look at the chart I feel like I’m seeing new highs. It’s way too early for me to be missing sleep in excitement already. This is going to be one crazy year ahead…

I want to buy a street sweeper attachment for $8500 for the concrete sections of the ranch.

Today my new car arrived! Mercedes GLC coupe AGM 43 with all extras! All of it paid by Bitcoin, after a modest 20-30x profit.

Congratulations Ivomm, that is a bad ass car and fully deserved.

Enjoy!

a major informative factor of this cycle continuation was the rise of the bitcoin hashrate...

https://www.visualcapitalist.com/rise-of-bitcoins-hashrate/

Good point: It's getting colder, I wonder if my S9 would mine net positive.

depends on how you normally heat your home.

but the L3 mining to nicehash paying in btc pays about $2 a day in btc

and with proper setting burns about 17 kwatts

so

10 cent power  2.00- 1.70 = 30 cent profit not counting the heat you get.

the s9 at best will do

53 cents in btc and burn 1.92 a loss of $1.39 not counting the heat you get.

The L7 is kind of god like as it earns 36 a day and burns 8 a day or a profit of 28 a day for a 3 year old machine

I don't hold any precious metals even though I kind of like the idea, however I don't get silver. It's nice and all but not nearly valuable/rare enough to make sense as a store of value. And of course it's also, for the same reason, impractical. Stashing away some gold coins is easy, including on ones person. Doing the same with silver, that's another story.

Silver is useful in itself so there's that. But in eotwawki terms, how are you going to get change for a can of beans from 1oz of gold?

Silver is Litecoin to gold's Bitcoin Wink

I agree about the gold, but silver doesn't really solve it, I guess if you're desperate for that one cheap item it's better to lose a silver coin than a gold coin...if the other party even wants a silver coin.

In a scenario where you need to spend gold coins I guess the idea is to find someone who can provide something of use in good quantities/qualities : a stash of food, a gun, etc.

Apples and oranges. Both gold and silver will always be needed, seeing as they are basic elements on the periodic table. But there is a lot more silver than gold in this world, so it is not as valuable. That's how I see it. But I would consider neither a Litecoin, as they are fundamentally different things.

Both have industrial uses. Does silver really have a use if we're back to the iron age ?

You're never too old to think young.
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Looks like we got our expected minor correction after the biggest daily gain in Bitcoin's history (and a solid seven-green-candle week).

Onward and upward. This rally has just begun.

$90k will be broken soon enough.

In a sane world

are we using the same dictionary?

Sane world? That's an oxymoron.

this is escalating pretty quickly....

It might be just the noise before the US starts the real race when adding BTC to their treasury...

Imagine the US makes a kind of Saylor move and starts balancing their finances that way ...and other countries have to follow!

IMO we have seen nothing yet...  don't sell too quickly, the next years are going to be wild...

Part of the dilemma that the USA ends up facing is that their announcing their intentions will likely trigger other countries to attempt to front run, so even if there was not an intention to add BTC to the treasury (reserves), the other countries engaging in such conduct could well end up causing the need to actually fulfill the campaign promise.

AFAIK the next presidency already announced to use BTC as a reserve asset.

If other countries front run and drive up the price, probably no OG here would be sad about it...  would you ?  Grin

Trump said a lot of things, many of them contradicting each other, so betting on what he will do is, well, a bet.

A Bitcoiner chooses. A slave obeys.
Haven't noticed any abundant negative article(s) from the mainstream media besides Trump Pump and large investment firms like Blackrock etc buying from the past months ore even a few years which means Bitcoin becomes more legitimate accepted over time.

The Horse of Troy has entered the system.

Imagine Trump makes Bitcoin legal tender.

Bitcoin will pump to 1 mill in no time...
