as far as the way craptopia is carrying itself ... speaks for itself... no need to even talk trash about them, let alone run a campaign lol they are digging their own hole with great efficiency, pissing off 80% of the ppl that come to their exchange ... is by far the worst rep imaginable...and they are proud of it lol nothing but wow.  

oh yeah ask how I know its 80%.... cause I brought them 99 % of what they have, through bounties, fivers, paid retweets, billions of coins in rains, etc... for which about 80% just wtfed me and asked "why did you send us to this crap hole".... very unfortunate situation, and when I informed them about these statistics they perma banned me lol as far as removing coins lol ...I have more btc and ltc then shitcoins... when are you delisting those? rofl

Just some miscellaneous comments after having read through the whole thread:

@turtle: no, they are not anonymous. Both Hex and Saddam are easily identifiable because they are the major shareholders of Cryptopia which is a publicly registered New Zealand corporation.

@OBAViJEST: actually, I have to disagree with you: I do recall Hex and Saddam talking about coding DOT while on acid. Personally, I find that impressive, and a reason to invest, but there have been discussions of drugs other than weed.

As far as funding, running an exchange is not that expensive. Hex and saddam are largely self-funded. The fact that there aren't massive amounts of paid staff is not a problem (in my never humble opinion of course).

As far as dead coins, disabling them would make it harder to launch a revival. Caveat emptor in my opinion. If someone is planning to start moving a chain again, they might want a deposit address to test or a withdraw queued up.

And it's strange to me that the suggestion is merely to "disable" deposits (not display deposit address) and withdraws (when, again, there could be legitimate reasons for wanting it queued) and no call for banning the trading. Cryptopia does make an effort to select decent coins to list, and avoids delisting them, so, yeah, if a coin dies after it gets listed, it'll probably stick around for a while. I don't think that's a bad thing.

It's hilarious to me this all started from Prototanium. I thought that was a strange idea when I saw it being pumped. If people want UNO, why not buy UNO? Why buy testnet? It's worse than a clonecoin. But whatever, it was popular for a moment and people chose to buy it. And then they complain when it breaks rather than fixing it.

It is not the exchange's responsibility to fix or support the coins.

And, yes, if you piss off Hex and Saddam you're going to have a bad time. Just like if you piss off the-Powers-that-Be at any site you're going to have a bad time. They're just more open and honest about it. I rather like it. I'm sure Cryptopia isn't for everyone, but again, I'm glad to have found a home there.

I'm quite confident they will outlast Cryptsy, not that that is a difficult achievement.

And 1 way to tell cryptopia is not hurting for cash.

Is all they would have to do to raise money is this.

Tell every coin community on there , that to be listed on cryptopia requires a monthly fee ,
say $20 per Altcoin , and Most of those alt coins would pay it since , they have been unable to get on other exchanges.
Considering they give a place to exchange coins and a block explorer and a marketplace and a mining pool , it would be worth it for many alt coin devs to pay it.

1st trading rule , never leave more on any exchange that what you are willing to lose.
Goes for every exchange , because the only thing that is certain , is unless you are their book keeper, you don't know their finances.
Just as the US exchanges cryptsy, bittrex, & poloniex have no idea if federal agents are going shut them down on tuesday and take your coins.

And if Hex really did have someone like me on the payroll, don't ya think he would have used me before now instead of letting this stupidity go on for a month enough that it pissed them off where they delisted coins.  Think about it Genius.

020 was hardly even a sponsor of DKV. From the start the lead developer made a deal to have it added and failed to follow through causing me to waste a lot of my time.

I removed 020 from my websites for this reason a while back. I do not appreciate a deal being made and then the dev team, of all others, failing to uphold their end.

This is why I stopped coming to the second groups new mumble. I didn't appreciate being offered 1% of 020 to add it to the game and only getting 59,999,990 out of it.

Needless to say CD/DKV has nothing to do with 020 and will never have anything to do with it again.

No they treat everyone with the out most of disrespect, they have asked me to bring them ppl i brought them from 20 avg users a day to 500+ users a day, what did they do to most of those new users...? yes they pissed all over my work that they themselves commissioned...then they banned me, because i got upset for them pissing all over my work ... i have rained many billions of coins in cryptopia, brought them 90% of the business they have.... but they have insulted the other 500+ potential daily users... there for all the folks I have invited left and bitched me out for bringing them to the shit hole.... so yeah to make a long story short... they keep shooting themselves in the face, hence its very easy to see how and why they are dying.

You may need to pay Yobit or Bittrex or Bleutrade or CCEX to list you if you are going to keep the coin alive.
Because after a month of public smearing by those dummies in this forum, doubtful cryptopia will change their minds.
But you can always ask them in a week or so just to get their response. Would not be optimistic on your chances.

Well...at the risk of getting banned for this:

I strongly support Cryptopia. They gave NYAN a new home to let us escape Cryptsy when I really doubt any other exchange would have given us a chance (either buy your way on as the only option, or volume requirements were beyond us at that point; given that I will never recommend Cryptsy to anyone, it left us without a place to grow).

All my deposits and withdrawals have been processed very quickly, with the only delays being when there is a chain issue (I've only withdrawn NYAN, but we've had more issues with the Nyanchain (hit and runs and a difficulty function which isn't great at dealing with it) than we ever have had with Cryptopia).

Yes, hex and saddam don't take kindly to idiots or those who attack them. As is their right. They've banned links to BCT for being banned here. And frankly, if I have to lose Cryptopia or BCT, I can lose BCT far more easily.

BCT is useful to me. But Cryptopia basically saved Nyancoin, given Cryptsy's, well, being Cryptsy. And hey, for what it's worth, most of my NYAN so far was purchased on Cryptsy. If it weren't for them, and if it weren't for BCT, we wouldn't have gotten our start. But the world moves on.

Cryptopia is small but they work excellently. They don't have time to deal with idiots. If you need someone to explain to you that if your chain isn't moving, you can't get a withdraw, then, as hex would likely put it "fuck off".

Full disclosure: I own one share in Cryptopia which I purchased to show my support for them after they listed NYAN and seeing how they act. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I expect to make it my home for trading for years to come. And, as they often say, they are not an exchange, they are a mining pool with exchange capabilities. But as I would put it: Cryptopia is a trollbox. If you can't handle it, gtfo. ;-)

There is no fud here, I have seen 90 out of 100 exchanges go under since 2012, Cryptopia is going under no ifs or buts, this is from solely the fact that the devs of this scam exchange can not properly communicate... all they have is trolls they pay in dot, and call everyone fags, idiots, and morons.

As far as the actual practice of decision making they have none, as hex runs on emotion, doctrine and a few warped memories for margins... 0 common sense or even an inclination of attempting to think....
