Ok so i am using Avast because its Free and i also have bought the premium edition of Malwarebytes  which is pretty awesome and useful and has helped me a lot in the past.
Even though everybody can fall a victim to viruses and stuff, i think the best defense is not your antivirus but your own consciousness

What Anti-virus are you using now to protect your device? And why did you choose this one?

Qihoo 360.  Been using it for more than 2 years.  Never had a infection that it can't handle.

I've been using Avast anti-virus for a really long time (about 4 years if im not wrong) but only on free trial.I was satisfied so i didnt feel the need of changing it,
but of course the time has come and i decided using it would be just stupid.
I use Kaspersky currently, and i think it is the best anti-virus (from the one's i tried before)

I have been a Computer technician for quite long..... Kaspersky has never failed me on cleaning computer/laptops infected of all sorts of virus/worms/malware. If you can't afford it, you can download for free with cracked version on it on torent sites.

Antivirus software is needed for Windows users, where users have wide authority to open some suspicious executable files, but in any Linux OS there is division between user and super-user (root). Most of time you're user and you can not open any suspicious file, but if you want to open it, you enter super-user's password, become him and run any executable files under your responsibility. IMO, in Linux OS Antiviruses are needless since any file opens with awareness of user and nothing could be open without it. While in Windows OS Antivirus is a machine, in Linux OS it is a human. It means that the best Antivirus is human itself.

there was a time when someone actually created a linux virus, can't remember what was it about but yea someone actually did it successfully.
Not sure how he did it but probably activate it with the help of cron.

I do use both windows and linux so most of the time i use clamwin.
Yes, there are some linux viruses. But so few of them. Too few for feeling me unsafe in Linux.

Currently, I use Free AVG as my antivirus but I use it mostly because I am used to it, but since it does not have firewall I use Zone Alarm as my firewall.
