I am just using windows defender.. I think it is enough if you know what you are doing on the PC..

Windows defender is the same with Microsoft essential security right?  Grin

What Anti-virus are you using now to protect your device? And why did you choose this one?
In my computer desktop I only trust the Microsoft essentials security, because this is safe to used and no files will be deleted if they have just detect a virus that you've downloaded.

Soon, I have to go away.

I use Malwarebytes which has malware and malicious website protection. Flags bad links (not that I ever click any) scans well. In all the time I have never had any threats from any anti virus I have used. Hopefully I never do but I don't go round dodgy websites or download crap so all will be good I'm sure. I might look for something to run beside it, if anyone uses malwarbytes with anything what do you use it with?

Eset Smart security works well along with malwarebytes, no conflicts at all.
Updates virus definitions all day long, even as soon as your computer is switched on, its saved my computer many times, good for backing up also.

A bit miffed not to see Sophos on this list.

Use it extensively have done ever since it was introduced to our school what seems like centrys ago now.

Never let me down
Never heard on that Sophos antivirus, is it popular?

Yeah very very popular, along with there UTMS Firewall ranges.

https://www.sophos.com

Well worth a try, plus they do very good free editions, that dont ask you to upgrade every 2 mins

I have always been a fan of Avira. It's simple and yet it does its thing well.

Any antivirus is the same basically. Always one step behind cyber criminals with good encryption on their virus. Nod32 by ESET is the quickest to detect them though imo
