Let's not focus only on the negative sides of KYC, some countries do not accept or allow ICO participation, so kyc is a medium to identify such countries. its also a way to kip bounty hunters in check. my advice is that we should be careful on bounties so as to choose the right ones.

While you are right that some countries make it mandatory to do KYC for all ICO participants but it is not mandatory for bounty hunters . I saw many ICOs which ask your KYC but those ICOs allow bounty hunters to join without KYC info because they are not investing in it and getting small amount of tokens as payment .

Hi.can someone tell me if KYC is ok ? what could be the effects of doing it especially in bounties/airdrops, they are requiring to pass KYC before joining

KYC is needed by most of ICOs because of regulations and AML policies . It is ok to do KYC if you fully trust the project and team behind it , because scammer or suspicious team can sell your data to anyone and it can result in loss to you bcoz of data theft .
Bounties and airdrops should be avoided if they ask this because of low amount of rewards , if reward amount is high and team is legit then you can think on it .

There is no guarantee that such information will remain confidential, so it is not safe to believe.

Checking KYC is nothing but a headache we can not give. I consider this check against the members of the ICO generosity campaign unequivocally illegal. We are not investors in ICO projects and therefore should not undergo such verification. Therefore, I never join those ICO projects that require such a test, no matter how promising ICO project seemed.

KYC aka Know Your Customer is one of the revolutions in the world of cryptocurrency and I see this is one of the positive changes to the world of cryptocurrency,

For me, KYC for bounty hunters and especially for airdrop hunters is completely unnecessary. Rewards are not that big to apply such restrictions to the participants. In my opinion, the legitimacy of using KYC makes sense for larger investors.

Personally, it only gives me inconvenience, as I am an experienced bounty hunter and for me it is a whole problem. What kind of anonymity of cryptocurrencies can be a speech? If your data will be freely stored in some company
 Sad

But you give your personal data not only for projects with bounty campaigns. But when you register on some exchange or trading platforms, you also give some information about your personality, even in traditional banking instituitions, where your data may be used in not secured manner. And risks are everywhere, in every direction of our life. Of course, it is no good to give the data to everyone, but there is a tendency to have the KYC procedure for lots of projects for the last period of time.

To be honest, KYC brought me nothing else then baked air.
KYC is a very very important issue to deal with.
Only perform a KYC when you sure that you are applying for a legit ICO, or airdrop. For airdrops you have to be extra carefull, these project might look profitable but only take your personal information and leave you behind with zero token or value.

There is no airdrop, bounty, and ICO is worth to give away your information. Hope the people run the project don't sell your information or they get hacked

I'm not OK with KYC, one of the most important aspects of cryptocurrencies is to offer you a service in which you do not have to go through all of that bureaucracy that you need to go through with the financial system and now the developers of new projects have forgotten that since they only care about getting money and most of those coins will fail since they are getting farther away from the real purpose of a cryptocurrency which is to serve its users and not the developers or the investors.

As far as I can see, all safe projects will never force KYC users. Because only projects created by scammers have caught KYC and scammers can get our information and use it for bad purposes.

For me as a bounty hunter, this procedure will not do any good.I don't want to send my documents to unknown people who can use them to their advantage. But this is my personal opinion.

In my opinion, kyc is very important for the campaign participants, it will expose your personal identity. Actually I joined a campaign that needed KYC and I only knew that it was necessary KYC in the middle of a campaign .... I really do not know if I filed a KYC for a reward but I feel sorry if I can not get rewards for work my hard. really I hope it's okay if I do it and they will keep my identity secret and will not be used on bad things.
I am very much in favor of using KYC in ICO projects to help me disseminate information to investors and to limit the number of large investors who want to dominate a good number of coin. Since the projects require KYC, buying ICO becomes much more difficult, but it also makes good projects have more growth opportunities.

Now there is such a trend that many bounty campaigns and even airdrops require bounty hunters to undergo the procedure KYC. This is quite a common procedure, but many refuse to pass it, because they fear that their personal data may fall into the hands of criminals.

And what may happened? Nothing. They can get any ID if they want but it leads to nothing
