We have seen a degree of restrictions coming from USA expecially in the are of ICO and crowfunding for cryptocurrency projects. What we need in an industry of creativity and innovation such as cryptocurrency is not restrictions and ban rather, a governance and freedom that will ensure the development of potential inherent in blockchain and cryotocurrency!

So far it hasn't occurred to the US to ban cryptocurrencies, but if it does then I think it will bring crypto down. but the US is a crypto-accepting country and I think that's good for crypto. although there are some countries that actually prohibit crypto, for the US I don't think it will happen because if that happens then crypto will falter and of course it will be bad. I hope that will never happen because there are still many countries that accept crypto

If the US bans Bitcoin, this should not happen, but if it does happen, it will have an impact on the market. Bitcoin will plummet. However, Bitcoin has experienced several plunges and is now in equilibrium, so it can withstand everything no matter what happens, so if Bitcoin is banned, the country that bans it will lose the most. I don't think this country can completely ban Bitcoin.

Do you guys think one day USA may ban cryptocurrencies? If yes what would happen? I think it's not totally impossible and that would be a global crash on prices.

I don't think they will ban cryptocurrencies, in practice they can't ban anyway. I think they try to regulate market heavier than today.
Let's assume that they "ban" crypto-currencies, nothing significant would happen. USA is only a small part of the world. That kind of ban only hurt themselves, they would lose investors and developers, eventually they would lose big money and big opportunities. As a non-US person I don't care about what USA do or don't, I suggest US citizens to look around, the world is not only about your country. Smiley

If the AS bans the crypto world then the price of bitcoin and altcoins will fall drastically especially now that China has banned crypto mining so that the price of bitcoin is down dratis, but there are countries that can make transactions using bitcoin so that the price again improves, although the value of bitcoin is not currently back to the highest figure as it has been in the previous month but I am sure the price increase will again occur.
Since US has been a large factor for crypto development because a lot of bitcoin holders are there, so the crypto market will eventually be greatly affected and yes, the price will drastically fall. But we all know how crypto recovers from every country's banning so the changes might be i guess temporary and in due time, crypto will be back to normal again.

China who has also known of a lot of crypto investors has banned crypto but until now, crypto is still standing so we can conclude even how many countries will try to ban bitcoin, as long as there are still those investors and hodlers who will keep patronizing crypto, then crypto will not be put into its death.

I don't think so. Cryptocurrency will not endanger the US economic hegemony for the time being.
Cryptocurrency will not disappear. If it is really banned, it will have a great impact on future development and the future, and will cause great shocks.
Many crypto startups are based in the United States and them banning bitcoins will surely bring a massive negative impact. I have seen how a single person i.e, Elon Musk, can manipulate the whole market and if such an economically strong country like United States ban it, I guess the impact would be severe and of course negative on the market. Most of the exchanges are based in America so they would be closed and overall it would be a huge mess.

The US has a strong influence in the global economy including cryptocurrencies, if the USA banned crypto, of course it would have a big impact maybe the price of crypto would drop more than 50% and many projects stopped.
Indeed! I guess not just that but other countries who usually follow the actions from America will ban the cryptocurrency as well and eventually most new startups will be stopped because not all the projects can operate anonymously and need funding.

If USA decides to put the hammer on bitcoins, surely it will cause a huge dump in the market and might take a long time to ever get back the ATH price, if ever at all. Although the market will crash it does not impact the usability of bitcoins and globally people can continue using bitcoins without any problems. In fact, I think even users in USA (considering it's banned) will also use Bitcoins and the governments can never know about it.

It's similar to gambling, some countries have it banned while some have insane taxes on gambling but people just find alternate ways of gambling. Similarly, you may ban bitcoins legally but how can you ban a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency doesn't convince me.

And again, this is just a thought and I don't see BTC being banned anytime soon at all.

If your question is, whether one time the US will ban cryptocurrency, in my opinion the prohibition of using cryptocurrency can occur in the US. And if any prohibition happens, then I'm sure it won't have a big influence on the price.
There will be a huge influence, you are wrong. Coinbase if I am not wrong is being operated from the USA and many such big companies have their headquarters in the USA and obviously all these things will impact the price badly.

No doubt crypto will live forever but if any country bans the use and trading of cryptos, then they will always impact bitcoin and depending on the country, the impact can be estimated.

Blockchain technology has been appreciated by almost every country but some have banned cryptos because of the lack of control from the government on crypto transactions and the amount of fraud that sometimes is related to cryptocurrencies.

The USA has indeed become one of the most dominant countries in the crypto world, if the USA really bans crypto, then the price of bitcoin and altcoins will definitely drop drastically, but crypto will not die, although the potential to rise is very small
Yes, in general, cryptocurrencies will not just die when the USA actually bans crypto for their territory, but it should also be noted that the effect of this will obviously be on cryptocurrencies even though it will not last too long because there are many countries that are still love cryptocurrency until now.
but what we fear is the repercussions of it all. we know how strong the US is in the world market. and if that happens it will have a huge impact on the crypto market.
will not kill, but to strengthen the market after the dump will definitely take a very long time.

Maybe not and maybe yes, what would happen if yes? I think it will not affect big time in the crypto market because it is US is the only nation who are using cryptos, Japan, Korea, UK, EU and almost country in the world are now using cryptos, so if US ban the usage of cryptos the underground market are going to be big.

Bitcoin present a threat to the global hegemony of the US Dollar. And this threat is increasing and has entered a different stage now, with the announcement from El Salvador that they will award the status of legal tender to BTC. The significance of this measure is that now Bitcoin is a direct competitor to the US Dollar. Such a scenario was absent previously. Now the dimensions have changed and we can expect a much more hostile attitude from the US regime. And now coming to the probable ban, for digital currencies that exist only online, localized bans will have zero impact.

Just think of this, if they have planned all banning cryptocurrency, Bitcoin already here since 2010, more than 10 years, why they still don't ban it can't ban it? Very impossible. It's far from possible for now, as time goes by and without strong aw against cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency will stay.
They will just more become strict on "some" cryptocurrency, always remember that most of cryptocurrencies (altcoins) out there are shitcoins or scams!

Nothing is impossible, besides 10 years is not such a long time to determine whether a government will have consideration over a particular sector or not, assuming it is something they are considering it will take time but they will eventually come to a definite conclusion,  right now the government of us have not really given a full consent for crypto operations despite the strict laws governing it, so I wouldn't say it is impossible, rather let's hope they have no reason whatsoever to do so, China who is constantly banning btc have been in btc for years and has the most miners, yet they are undecided what to do.

I thought that would not happen. if USA banned crypto someday, it could affect the price only temporarily. But always remember that crypto is decentralized not influenced by any particular country.
i also thought the same that the price will go down temporarily, so i thought to myself, i really hope something like this happens so we would get a chance to buy when the price of bitcoin is really low, but i don't know think that it could happen though.

for the beginning crypto may experience a very large decrease in purchasing power, but over time all crypto assets will definitely rise again, just like the current negative news always makes the price of bitcoin go down by a few percent but bitcoin continues to be a conversation and rises again,

It may happen, it may not, if the ban does occur, it may only make a temporary decline, because crypto does not depend only on the US, in other parts of the country there are still many people who use crypto.

It may be a temporary decline, but the markets may crash really hard. In terms of raw volume, United States is the country which has the maximum holding of cryptocurrency (although in terms of number of users, they may not be no.1). We all know how the market behaved when the Chinese government cracked down on cryptocurrency. And trust me, the impact from any potential ban from the United States is going to be much worse. Obviously cryptocurrency can survive without the US. But if will be severely handicapped.
