yeah, right now it's so difficult to find a good project with a serious concept and strong vision. not like 2017, you can find so much powerful project and success rate of them are over 80%. this current condition makes a lot of bounty hunter frustrated.

I agree. Most projects have the same concept now. No more innovations and new ideas. The projects are all generic and have nothing new to offer. I hope with the rise of IEO, new and better projects will be introduced.
Now that many coins are being released in good exchanges the possibilities of being scammed will go down but this does not necessarily mean we will get projects of a higher quality, developers are just recycling old ideas and presenting them as new, also it seems to me that many investors and I include myself among them have lost faith in them and from now on will only invest in known projects and will no longer take a risk with new coins.

Cryptocurrency market is always very fierce competition. Today it is headed but tomorrow it is a dead coin. It is not uncommon for some of your coins to die when you return after a long time. What is the alt you own?

too many of the same concepts but no better offer which is the solution of an existing platform. of course, new projects will have difficulty without the renewal of being more valuable than them to be able to compete with projects that have long been on the market. and to be able to compete with new projects will take a long time. it all depends on the ability of developers to package their marketing strategies to compete with old projects. if not achieved, they will have difficulty walking. even some new projects with concepts that are already popular in the market do not get funding for the development of their platforms to the maximum.

Welcome back, buddy! You've missed out on many major events, recently Bitcoin's birthday. Besides, the growth of more than 30% in 24h is an important milestone this year!

For sure he's not gonna miss the bull run in 2020 after the halving. His return is just on time to buy and accumulate additional altcoins and btc in his portfolio and it will be a guaranteed overflowing return once we hit the new all time high next year.

I have been gone for so long due to my hectic schedule at the university, but since I have graduated already and I have taken my board exam I am now back here! Finally.

I have noticed how altcoins I own before depreciate so bad. I even have two or more kind which up to now have no value. Is the market tthat bad already? I mean, I can actually read threads here but ofcourse getting direct feedbacks from all of you who stayed all through out the time I was not around would be very helpful. Please help me learn about the new environment of cryptos now. Thanks.
In 2018 the market will really fall. This makes a lot of alt coins in collisions. Maybe before you vacuum, the conditions are in good condition. All new coins issued at that time are valuable and have a market value. Even airdrop can provide a lot of income. But then bitcoin continues to be shaken, which results in altcoin collapse.

This market moves so fast that being away for one year is the equivalent of being away for several years in other markets, if you had being holding bitcoin or other similar cryptocurrencies then you should be doing well since we saw an important recovery during the second quarter but most other coins have been doing badly, this is not surprising since there is no need to invest in such coins when bitcoin gave 3x during this year and many top altcoins gave something similar.

If you leave before 2017, you can say that you missed the bullrun that occurred that year, and when compared to now it is very different, many coins fall and have no value. And also many bounty hunters and investors also feel disappointed because of the many scam projects that make what they do in vain and suffer losses because the projects only deceive them for their own benefit.

As usual, life goes on while you are gone. And YES, all the scam altcoins have shown themselves and the altcoin devs have either run away with investor's money or have  simply abandoned the projects altogether.

If you want to keep updated with the current crypto trends then i suggest reading crypto-blogs or websites like CoinTelegraph.

We compare prices now from the ones in 2017, from that time many are down, but if you compare the prices from before 2017 and now, prices are higher. Its all perspective, don't you agree?!
What you need to do now is to do another evaluation of the alts you hold, maybe some will drop more or go to zero, some can be promising, do some researching, and do what has to be done, sell some, buy some others, or if you still believe in them after a research just hold them and hope for the best, you can`t lose more then you did already!

Some coins actually soared in price only due to high, over time there has been no notable project development which is impressive with most projects. People mainly do pump and dump in a bit to make profit, and funny enough that's what many people take crypto to be.

Good point there pal. I have noticed that too months before I left. I have observed that most projects look like copies of other projects. Nothing new to hype up to. Nothing innovative about. Hoping today there will be more impressive ones.

Same thoughts. I left the cryptoworld for about two years as I think it has been the same projects all over again, just a little twist. I haven't participated in any bounty lately but it seems that everything is always the same.

And that's how bad it was.

When you were away,  It was pretty bad if I say so myself. We've seen many altcoins prices dropped too deep, not only alctoins but bitcoin included.
As of now, we're on the stage of recovery, I hope so. We are seeing the prices coming back to life, eventho it's not very significant ups.
At least it seems like we're on uptrends for the past week.

And also you might also find threads about scammers and all, because lots of project were scammed.

Most altcoin is weakening now as well as bitcoin. But at this time maybe a recovery is taking place for some good coins after silence when there was a deep decline around 2018 ago. Bitcoin is crawling right now, and the current price is a good price, maybe in the future it will be better, and may repeat the price in early 2018 or even more, if that happens all altcoin that still survive will move up to a better price . This is how the market is today, perhaps far different than in early 2018. Some altcoins may be sick now, or some have even disappeared from the market. The consequences of investing in crypto are like this. So what coins are you holding right now?

first of all, congratulation for your graduation

you will face the bad thing in your life with the reality that many coins down so hard. in 1 year you left, bearish market happened
it makes price down so hard even many coins going to scam. that's make many people sad if they havent sold their coins/tokens
but we have to accept that condition and do task like what you did. bcz crypto is so bright in the future

Bitcoin and altcoin price is not depend with you active or not, where do you go and what do you want to do is not give effect for making bitcoin on higher or lower price, although you gone and resign with bitcoin and altcoin investing price of crypto on investor hands, maybe if you gone give you two chance with your altcoin investment when opening two years later with higher price or lower price.

This past month altcoin has in a bad condition price did not recover yet. The altcoin price decline start of this year and no one knows when it can recover. Even we are gone for long during the market condition the thing that we could do is leave as is the coin in our wallet that has no value. Since you are back now, still assess the potential coins you have for long, check their project if there is at least a development. Let’s observe the market this following month if there is a change in crypto prices.

altcoin is currently not changing so much, maybe you left the market too long so you don't get an update about altcoin. I think the decline in altcoin occurred at the beginning of the year when people threw away their tokens / coins that were considered to have no potential, so I suggest if the coins / tokens that you have do not have a good future it is better to leave it

I was inactive also for several months after 2018. I think still  you didn't catch up new forum rules and new IEO process ( IEO means initial exchange offer). Now investment in any projects more easy than ICO but all exchange has mandatory to submit KYC. About crypto market! You will get information from Coinmarketcap that BTC has 65% and rest of it altcoins.
