Altcoins are really experiencing not the best times and still continue to fall in price. Many of them have depreciated and will never return to the same price. So now it is better to focus on fundamental coins.
its miracle if altcoin could back to initial price when it down.developtment progress will help alot for price recovery, and it depend on how developers team work.investor will trust to projects and courage to buy and hold coins in market due of this reason.without hardwork impossible for dev team to see their project success.

It's possible once they finish already their working product and successfully attain the mass adoption for the product. But on this current situation of altcoin, we are all waiting for the expected mega pump for bitcoin to pull upward again the valuation of altcoins.

Moondays will come. Just hold on tightly.

Your experience will help you to first learn about new cryptocurrency condition. You did right focus on your future and now you can learn again. Cryptocurrency is now going better than before condition.

And basically, there's allot of sources to keep track on right now from the days that he's gone, and also, some major changes to bitcoin and some further updates had happened and will happen. One of it is the update from bitcoin halving and Libra coin launch which is considered to be one of the major news. It is to understand that crypto is still in a dynamic state where changes can drastically happen in any time. You're lucky, the market is still good when it comes to entering fund and you can regain your momentum the way it is before.

Welcome back!
Looks like the moments of return are not good huh. All coins or tokens go through a difficult time until the price drops. WE got IEO as a substitute for ICO that didn't work properly. And certainly, a lot of coins or tokens appear Grin

In summary, bitcoin is still dominating the crypto market. Generally this year has not been really encouraging for most altcoins.  Most of the projects that aimed at bringing amazing  initiatives based on blockchain technology were not able to see the light of the day and hence most ended up with worthless tokens.

Welcome back
This year ICO has been replaced by IEO, many projects are funding through IEO in several exchangers like binance, probit, etc. Because from 2018 the ICO trend continues down until now
But there are also many bounties to this day from several projects that carry out IEO

While you were away, the market had a downturn and we are still in bearish market. Altcoins bled deeply and many are now worthless. Your portfolio will have been better off if it was held in bitcoin.

I was gone for almost a year, wow. I just checked now. Did not notice how time flew that fast.
Too many things happened in a year, though you already experience the peak and lows of cryptocurrencies since 2018 many alts declined in prices. Old bounties have'nt listed due to regulations or simply its a project not being pushed by the developer, the exist of STO and IEO after too many ICO's failed. Try to get news on tokens you are holding if their team is still alive or if you can trade them till now.

There have been many developments in the past, from ICO which is now starting to leave and turning to IEO, and declining market productivity until some people are looking for other jobs to survive. and I'm still staying here to wait for crypto to return to the highest position, now I learn more about other available technologies and learn to research more about the project development algorithm because for now, I don't have a lot of work in the forum so I can take advantage of this time
We all would agree if only IEO made cryptocurrency be interesting this year.  In addition, some bounty campaigns also show good progress, at least the projects that are successful and provide substantial benefits to bounty hunters are there again.  However, for the development of bitcoin and altcoin not quite fun, the only bitcoin shows a significant movement, while altcoin tends to go down.

Welcome back, let's go back hunting, avoid projects that are less convincing, or you will get caught up in a lot of drama Smiley for bounty campaigns you should choose those that give BTC or ETH rewards and other potential coins, or at least choose projects that are already working products, if possible  who have listed on the exchange.

I have been gone for so long due to my hectic schedule at the university, but since I have graduated already and I have taken my board exam I am now back here! Finally.

I have noticed how altcoins I own before depreciate so bad. I even have two or more kind which up to now have no value. Is the market tthat bad already? I mean, I can actually read threads here but ofcourse getting direct feedbacks from all of you who stayed all through out the time I was not around would be very helpful. Please help me learn about the new environment of cryptos now. Thanks.

Bitcoin dominance climbed drastically in comparison to the market share of alts. Mostly probably due to the fact that institutional investors are less inclined to invest in alts as opposed to BTC which is more stable and established - and they are the driving forces behind the previous episode of bull runs.

Your strategy now honestly depends on what your entry point is.

I'd think that unless you bought at 2017 peak price levels, major alts like ETH and LTC will recover as a matter of time. But if you have bought worthless ICOs, then it's a different story.

His last post before today was in November, 2018. In the last 11 months except for the 3-4x price pump of bitcoin nothing else had happened, we have a dump of -95% average for the coins and some exchanges had gone out of trade. I hope u didn't leave your valuables in those exchanges. It might be a good sign also for the space to start seeing old members come back, especially if they have inside information.

If you are holding shitcoins before and until now I believe they don't have any value today but if you are holding potential coins and major coins from January until today you are lucky that you make a profit today because lately there is bull market happen to bitcoin including major coins.

However, if you are holding coins from 2018 when bear market and until now there is a little bit price recovery after the massive price drop last year. Can you tell as what coin you are holding until now so that we can check if those coins have the potential to grow after block halving or will end up no value or scam.

Can you share your wallet information here or what coins or tokens you are holding on,  if your are give those surely you will get good suggestions what can you do those. If it's scam or dump coins, or those coins have any future in coming days if you're interested please info about your altcoins details here.

I think you were away starting right after the peak back in end 2017 to start 2018 since then market has been in a longterm downtrend and from lets say last few months it seems like it is tryinh to consolidate and may be reversal is near as far as alts are concerned but no one can predict the exact time.

How long have you been gone?
Is the market tthat bad already?
No, the market actually became better this year so that's why I'm asking about how you've been gone. Base on your post history, it seems that you've been gone for about a year and are you aware of the situation last December 2018? it was totally down but now, it became lighter and better.

You haven't missed anything, because nothing has changed since the beginning of the year. only bitcoin began to show good performance, but now it has stopped for several reasons. but despite that the price of btc is still quite good now and is stable.

Some coins actually soared in price only due to high, over time there has been no notable project development which is impressive with most projects. People mainly do pump and dump in a bit to make profit, and funny enough that's what many people take crypto to be.

Good point there pal. I have noticed that too months before I left. I have observed that most projects look like copies of other projects. Nothing new to hype up to. Nothing innovative about. Hoping today there will be more impressive ones.

The market has passed through very difficult situations during the last several years and the signs of recovery are not yet here. But things should change in the nearest future, because sooner or later an altseason should arrive.
