the market is running as usual and there are no significant changes from 2018-209.
You are still in the bear market as before.
there is an important altcoin in the history of crypto before it emerged there has been a rejection like altcoin libra which could help the market rise but eventually stopped.

Good thing you pursued graduation first as priority congratulations to you mate. Welcome back to unstable life of crypto. Yes the market seems changed since then, but there is good and bad addition to it. IEOs now becoming a trend as a source of crowdfunding in some new projects, while some ICO still lives but only few of them. Bad thing is a lots of projects has been restricted, such as Libra, Ton and many good projects. Government is now ticking some strict rules over it. Also price for major coin going down like btc and eth.

I have been gone for so long due to my hectic schedule at the university, but since I have graduated already and I have taken my board exam I am now back here! Finally.

I have noticed how altcoins I own before depreciate so bad. I even have two or more kind which up to now have no value. Is the market tthat bad already? I mean, I can actually read threads here but ofcourse getting direct feedbacks from all of you who stayed all through out the time I was not around would be very helpful. Please help me learn about the new environment of cryptos now. Thanks.
The market stands in its place, there was just some changes in the ranking.

There were some news with Libra: https://www.forbes.com/sites/sergeiklebnikov/2019/10/21/here-are-all-the-companies-that-bailed-on-facebooks-libra/#37f4d1af3487

There were problems with the sale of TON and it has been postponed until February 2020: https://www.coindesk.com/secs-court-hearing-on-telegram-token-delayed-till-next-year

These are mainly spoken news, but there are many more, just do research.

Yep, it would be interesting to know which alts were you holding during the 18/19 crypto winter. If those were some blatant shitcoins, then you were probably shocked when peaking at their value after your hiatus, but if you filled your bag with top 10 or top 20 projects, you are alright, its just a natural cycle of crypto fuckery all over again Smiley.

How long have you been out of cryptocurrency ? There are many things changed now in crypto.
From 2017 - 2019, cryptocurrency value has dropping in the market, i think it is because scam projects.
The market is not that bad now if you compare with at the end of 2018, bitcoin price was around $3k and now around $7k.

the altcoin price is getting worse, especially tokens. If you just came up and check the final price of your investment, you will be surprised. the token value that you have currently represents almost all the altcoins available in the market. I'm just highlighting the market price, because a lot of things have changed since you left.
Everything happens very quickly within a few hours and it's really hard to predict this market because we can't know exactly when a major market crash will take place. I began to feel that this place was very easy to manipulate and that they could completely control us during this time so if you are not careful, you will fall into their game.

At the moment I am very scared of Bitcoin price decrease but I can do nothing but hope because this is the only way that can make me calmer during this time.

Both altcoin and bitcoin not really have a good movement this year.
Almost the same just like last year but a bit better, so you don't need to learn too much, it's still the same.
Maybe you'll heard the hype about IEO right now, you can search what is it, and it's similiar like ICO but in already in exchange

Yeah welcome back mate and congratulation to you.

I just wondering, for how long you leave cryptocurrency?

If you just leave on the early at this year then you are wrong when you guessed it. Since bitcoin price had increased several percent exactly in July 2019, I still remember bitcoin price just touch $3500 on January 2018 which is mean cryptocurrency especially bitcoin is in the good trend so far.

But, yeah you missed something. Have an investment in altcoin is definitely useless moreover you choose it for long term investment and choose the new altcoin. In a few months ago there is some news who revealed that the new altcoin who launched by an IEO was gaining a lot of profit but you have to know in the current situation there is an altcoin who launched by IEO project and its price just slumped down drastically we can say it TRX. There is no guarantee for you to have a high hope when you choose long term investment in altcoin.

At the moment a lot has changed, a number of new projects have sprung up and only take concepts from existing projects, and you could say they are just imitators. Once there are projects that have the latest innovations and concepts, they can only be limited to planning without making it real and run away from their investors. Even now there are already many bounty programs that do not pay participants. At the moment we are in a bad state, but I am sure we can make changes to this and make the future of crypto bright again. I say this not to all projects, but to some projects. And that does not mean that all projects are not good, right now we can also find good projects but it is rather difficult to find them.

Crypto world is not in good shape now. Entire things have changed over the past 1.5 years. You rightly said some of the coins have almost zero value which were trading at a good price. Even popular coins like BTC, ETH, Neo have depreciated in price badly. Only few coins like BNB have grown a bit. New projects are not doing good. Lets hope a good time for crypto will come soon, till then everyone shall hold their coins.

What coin do you hold?
in 2017 altcoin soared and in early 2018 until the end of 2018 the price of altcoin and bitcoin greatly fell. now we are recovering little by little. to invest altcoin is indeed a greater risk especially new coins, it is better if investing coins that already have products and large communities such as BNB, Litcoin.
sometime ago people just didn’t want or were afraid to invest in bnb, but now everyone is talking about it. you should think maybe it’s better to look for the same good coins that are now at the early beginning of their development?
The projects that seems to be in beta now can be considered to have , if that beta is interesting and does give satisfaction to its purpose. Before year 2017 bull run, the projects are almost all unique and convincing, now we can't pick one which is new idea or unfamiliar in previous projects. So learn to identify whether the project have future, so if ever we take a break in crypto like OP we were calm that are investment is still growing due to projects development.

It's true the market is now being bad as the previous year. Many Project ICO scams are causing the crypto ecosystem to be very bad for now.
The Trend now is IEO but somehow now become deserted. Usually, IEO made replace the ICO because it is safer than risk. Because in the handle by the top exchange like binance.
And trend like AMA recently hitz now.

In summary, bitcoin is still dominating the crypto market. Generally this year has not been really encouraging for most altcoins.  Most of the projects that aimed at bringing amazing  initiatives based on blockchain technology were not able to see the light of the day and hence most ended up with worthless tokens.
Since there's a lots of new projects being offered and the competitions between alts are really tough the condition of the market is down right now, only few of those alts who offers solid usage are surviving. You have to read a lot of information regarding to your hold assets, make sure to cope
with the team and knows their plans regarding for the future of your coin/s. Whether you need to let go or there's still hope in keeping it inside your wallet. Don't rush things out and blindly take your actions.

It is a bit suprising if you left in 2017. Yes market is in a bad state after that even a year after. There's no significant changes even a bit. I just wondering when did you left this community. I do not think that the current market will last long although it has but may be sooner 2020? I guess we could might be have experince bull run. Just hold tightly with those coins of yours. Anyways congratulations to you mate, nevertheless you'll be having your job soon you might be gone again here.

The altcoins suffered a huge dump in 2017 and 2018 which has had a huge impact as it has not been able to recover to this day. Today's crypto environment is full of regulations that really make it difficult for us as crypto investors are more likely to choose to be anonymous than they really should be. But because of the worsening scam, we cannot prevent it and it will be better for us.

Last two year you have gone and you back now maybe depend on how lucky your are, will possible your assets coin holding last two years delist from exchange market or maybe your coin have fantastic price to higher, depend on which altcoin do you buy last two years, maybe if you save top altcoin you can loss little your money because today altcoin price very down than you hold last two years where altcoin on the top price.
