XRP will likely take the place of BTC on CMC. It wouldn't surprise me if SOL, Q Blockchain or HBAR overtook Ethereum. There are a lot of open ETH shorts RN.

Even if the concept doesn't die off, the technology called Blockchain might remain and be revived, but if Bitcoin crashes and vanishes, altcoins won't be able to survive because people would sell their altcoins as a first when they see Bitcoin crashing badly since the whole market knows that altcoins move along with Bitcoin. When it goes up, they go up as well, and when it crashes, they can't stay profitable. So, when something like that starts happening, altcoins will be the first ones to crash.

However, once the dust settles, people and developers will obviously start working on cryptocurrencies again, and there will be a new beginning for the industry. However, it won't be the same this time around if there is no Bitcoin, most people might not have any interest in cryptocurrencies after that.
This is true, blockchain is so important but bitcoin is even more so. Think of blockchain as the sea, and bitcoin as the lighthouse, people may still have the sea but without the lighthouse they would be too afraid to voyage through the dark waters with a fear that they may crash.

This is why we need to end up with something that would be a lot better on the long term, it should benefit them one way or another. I know that it is going to cost us a lot to just keep bitcoin up for that reason, but lucky for us we also love bitcoin for what it is itself without the need to say anything about the altcoins coming along with it. It is like a whale that feeds other fish. We should love them all, and think of them as one part of a bigger whole.

Just consider what you'll do if Bitcoin absolutely crashes. Are you going to start investing in alternative currencies, or are you going to stop investing altogether? Every regular person who invests in cryptocurrencies experiences the same response. The technology that connects the cryptocurrency world is known as blockchain, and Bitcoin is to thank for its introduction to the public. And Bitcoin, the dominant cryptocurrency, is the most dependable digital asset. Trust in the crypto realm is undoubtedly shaken when it fails. I have no idea what the future holds, but I think that at some point, this may be the pivotal moment. But I guess it won't be the end of crypto because the world will certainly be willing to embrace the concept of crypto.

I believe some altcoins will support without Bitcoin but barely.
Bitcoin has the highest market cap and that is not just because it was the first currency and the highest in value but because it is trusted by people.
If Bitcoin goes extinct people would lose a lot of trust in crypto because people will feel like if Bitcoin that is so decentralized can go extinct how much more all these other coins with lower market value and market cap.

There will be people who would still be in the crypto market without Bitcoin but it will not be as it is with Bitcoin.

It has often happened that when Bitcoin experiences a decline, Altcoins automatically experience the same thing, because all Altcoin exchanges are based on Bitcoin, Altcoins will become worthless if they cannot be converted to Bitcoin.  But some Altcoins are not affected by Bitcoin price movements.  This is due to the role of influencers who are able to control it
Indeed. Commonly, most altcoins prices depend on Bitcoin price because they follow the trend of Bitcoin. But not every altcoin always follows Bitcoin price trend, sometimes they can increase while Bitcoin is decreasing its price. An altcoin can increase because there is a hype, it can be related to the news around the altcoin. The hype can rise when it is listed on a big exchange, there is a staking program, or there is a burning event. These are some reasons that we are quite familiar, but there are many other factors. However, there is a crypto coin that never depend on Bitcoin, it is stable coins. On the contrary, stable coins often increase their price quite significantly when there is a big dump in Bitcoin.

Bitcoin market is in a lot of dumping right now I don't know why this is happening hope it will recover soon.
We are still in the bearish season, mate. It is the absolute reason.
When we start the bullish season, I'm sure the market will recover very soon. Just wait for 2024 when the first year of bullish season.

I don't think so. In fact, the case is been reversed here. Bitcoin is indeed the king of crypto but not all Alts evolve around it.

During this period that Btc is falling so rapidly from 30k to 25-26k, some alts didn't make that much difference. Aside from the coins listed recently like Cyber. Other old coins like Bch and its likes are still performing well regardless of what is happening to Bitcoin

What is happening with cyber is manipulation. They just airdropped token to their early tester, like other protocols that follow these exact methods. Most of the early investors tokens are locked, so the team is just manipulating the market to sell off their holdings at a high price. Very predictable pattern followed by other projects. I am not sure why you mentioned BCH. There isn't anything interesting going on around it.

It looks total crabs that without btc altcoin has no value streaming on its own. I observed several occasions when btc experience downtime, it affects the rest of the altcoin and when it pumps altcoin experience likewise.  I classified bitcoin as 🚜 tractors that levels prices of altcoins. ETH is second world best crypto that occupied core ria marketcap in the crypto market but yet it cannot survive without btc.

That's mean alternatively, if btc falls flat altcoin will dies off. What their deep relationship? Why btc important to altcoin, what's the connection in between? Will altcoins really survive without btc?

I don't think altcoins can survive without btc, so I think the price of btc will continue to affect the price of altcoins.
some examples have been seen when an altcoin is rising, then the btc price suddenly drops, the altcoin will also immediately fall.
Altcoin/bitcoin has undergone a lot of change in the past few years that we must take into account

1. We have more decentralised exchanges with different blockchains where bitcoin can not be traded and they still make large trades
indeed , this is the reason why altcoins nowadays seems to be standing even without the image of bitcoin.
Quote
2. That the decline in bitcoin-altcoin has decreased and we have more stable-altcoin and altcoin-altcoin
not sure if we truly have More stable coin but of course we have some few(or at least the trusted that i am pointing)
Quote
3. That bitcoin have less than 45% market dominance, less than in previous years and approaching halving.

correct , not like in the past that the domination of bitcoin are truly large,
but nowadays ? it decreases though we will see what can be in the next bullrun as mostly bitcoin increases dominance to 60% and above.

Just like right now, bitcoin has gone down due to some news, and everything else went down as well, that's how it happens and we shouldn't be shocked about it. I mean I get that sometimes there are moments when this may not be the case but most of the time it is. I think we should be considering this as a good thing though because when the market moves all together, that is making it be something a lot more important.

There is nothing wrong with this, we are talking about something that would be very important in the end. I get that we are going to end up seeing some changes here and there, but we can't really assume it will be different, when bitcoin goes down like this, alts go down with it as we and see right now.

No cryptocurrency can have a permanently different path from Bitcoin, it can all be temporary even if there is an influencer or a celebrity or whatever making its price move in a different direction from Bitcoin's. However, soon enough, the cryptocurrency will start following the movements of Bitcoin and then either go up or come down as soon as Bitcoin does that and that is because people generally make investments or sell their assets when they see some movement in Bitcoin.

For example, if I want to buy a certain altcoin, I would want it to have a good price, so I will wait and keep an eye on the market, specifically Bitcoin, and as soon as Bitcoin starts dropping, I will know that I will get the opportunity to buy that altcoin at a lower price since it will drop for sure now.

As far as I understand some altcoin prices go up due to the dumping of bitcoin price increase. But there are some coins which have no relation to bitcoin price rise. But bitcoin is now used by people in almost all countries. But it is still banned in many countries. There is. Bitcoin market is in a lot of dumping right now I don't know why this is happening hope it will recover soon.

bitcoin is a role model of all types of crypto that exist today. So, when bitcoin falls, it's very likely that altcoins will also fall unless those altcoins really have advantages and better commutation than bitcoin, but so far I don't think there has been an altcoin that has surpassed bitcoin.
In addition, if only bitcoin prices fell, then altcoin prices would actually fall, and probably most of the altcoin projects would go bankrupt. However, I hope that this will never happen.
but what is difficult for now is related to trust, where it is not easy for altcoins to survive without bitcoin. we can see for now where bitcoin has decreased by 7%, and we can also see altcoins have decreased too, even the decline is bigger than bitcoin. it is unimaginable if bitcoin crashes or even disappears, of course there will be a lot of big news, where many investors will go out of business, and money will only move to a handful of people. but with the development of bitcoin so far I don't think that will happen, but for altcoins there is no guarantee

I think that will not happen, I mean not anytime soon at least. I still think that we can make a retirement plan that involves bitcoin without fear and it should be fine. However, if we plan on something like this then we could always say that you are right and alts will die too. Whatever has caused bitcoin to be zero or near zero, will not pity alts and keep them that way, they will all be gone and be zero as well, that's just how it is.

I know that it's hard to accept that, but that's the reality. It's going to be a tough situation to be in, but it's going to be fine. I hope that it gets to a point where we are talking about something unrealistic to me, like having gold go to zero, it's as unlikely as that if you ask me.
We are not going to have bitcoin crashing anytime soon, so there is no need to fear the possibility of this. We are at a point where its all doing well enough and we do not have to worry about anything at all. I understand that its going to take a while before people could realize the situation we are in, but we are getting closer to halving so the price will certainly start to go up instead.

The possibility of bitcoin going down, and altcoins following it just stays in imaginations and made up conversations, its not real and its not going to be real and talking about it only gives it life. This is why I do not think that it should be considered an important aspect, there is really nothing to worry about in this matter.

This is just a thought experiment and nothing more. I think the market is doing fine and all these small tiny drops do not really mean anything if you ask me. I understand that people do not look at it like they look at real thing but still thinking about what could happen on the long run is a weird one.

I think it should be remembered that we are living in a situation where things should be easier to handle and we could potentially do that if we are smart about it. I understand that life is not that simple but at the very least life is not as hard as people think it is. Hopefully it will get to a point where we are not going to end up with anything much worse than this, and that should help people look at the bright side.

Always set precautionary measures because despite on being that #1 in the market doesnt mean that it would really be giving out guarantees that it would last forever or would really be able to stay up that on point.

This is why it would really be always that nice or ideal approach on having that risks management thing because on the time that you wont really be that making yourself that not expecting too much
and wont really get wrecked on the time that the market would really be going into the opposite side. We cant really be able to tell that altcoins would be solely be dependent with Bitcoin but cant really be denied that on the time that Bitcoin would be kissing on the floor then everything would follow but we dont know if there would be altcoins would be able to widthstand such condition or situation on which it might
potentially be able to replace Bitcoin into its position.

No one really knows on what would be the future looks like and this is why, its always been that ideal on having that kind of normal approach on things on which it would really be just that
possible to happen or not. We dont know on what the futures lies ahead in speaking with this market.

potentially ? yeah Altcoin will die together with bitcoin if the system will remain such this.
so I don't know where or when or if this are going to happen , but altcoin will indeed died with the  main coin.
