This is due to psychological factors and investor confidence. when bitcoin goes up, altcoins will also go up, and vice versa, bitcoin becomes a parameter for the development of altcoins, it seems to be a natural formula in the crypto world. don't we often meet people when talking about cryptocurrencies, then their imagination is bitcoin. especially now that bitcoin has a market capitalization that dominates cryptocurrency

It is not entirely true that I see that BTC represents the development of the Blockchain from the beginning, so its appearance is a testament to the development process later.
But there's the truth with it that if it's not about bitcoin, the introduction to the blockchain technology was much faster and easier. But it is more with the altcoin projects that this technology have been spread and became more popular.

Describe it as the process of growing a tree, when you plant a seed waiting to germinate, and here btc that seed, after time the tree grows to have branches, leaf, flowers, and fruits. And those who come later only look at things like the fruit, flowers, branches, leaf of that tree, but if they ignore the original seed, they won't see anything.
That's why no matter what people are telling about how an altcoin project is good, everyone will agree that bitcoin shall remain and it's the investment that everyone is longing for because it can't just be ignored by anyone.

Actually the demand for BTC is high and people have so many hopes for its success so therefore they rushes towards investment in BTC while other altcoins can also give benefits but their surety is not confirmed. Market is highly regarded as based on BTC price where it decreases altcoins price also decreases and if an information related to conduction spread out so they also have some impact on the value. Altcoins are worthy and they can be a cause of pleasure for the buyer but we don't believe that if BTC dump then it will survive without any risk.

Without btc altcoins will maybe fall or worst it will fall into zero value. I also saw the altcoins will always fall when bitcoin fall i think it is because the altcoin investors will not invest when the btc price is down because they can only buy a few amount of coin with a big amount of btc, they will surely hold the btc instead of buying the coins the second reason is that they are afraid that the new project s or altcoin that they wanted to invest may become failed and they will end up lossing.

Everytime bitcoin is down, altcoins are down as well because the market is dependents of bitcoin's price movements that's why it's normal to observe the altcoin's movements everytime bitcoin is taking a downtrend. We have seen many times occurrences but market recovers quick now unlike before. Despite all that sentiments, some altcoins will have it's strong resistance and continue to hold their price uptrend momentum.

My second opinion is that everything that is going on now with stable coins and altcoins could increase Bitcoin's dominance in marketcap, which in turn might improve trust as well as investment. We are experiencing everything at a good time before the sentiment in the market builds and attracts new investors and restores some old ones. The last cycle was hell for some and some lost a lot of money.

The reason why it looked like many altcoins can't stand on their own without the help of Bitcoin is because of the rank, market cap and volume and the activities of the whales, most whales around the world have more bags of Bitcoin than altcoins and in every bull market, they move funds out of Bitcoin to pump altcoins,  whales will always be a major player in crypto space.

Imagine a market without a big competition? imagine a business that losses the pioneer one? do you think that it will survive?
bitcoin makes this market move mate either to increase or decrease but it is this coin that maintain its health.

investors are putting their money here because of bitcoin so admit it or not? but crypto market will die if bitcoin fails in future.

of course we don't know for sure but bitcoin is like trendsetter, after all it's the first cryptocurrency ever so it's only normal if the altcoins in general still considers it as the bane of cryptocurrency basically if it got any movements other coin will also follow, if it falls then the other falls, it's not going to happen the other way unless there's coin with dominance equally as big.
actually there are articles and claims that it isn't bitcoin the first cryptocurrency instead it is Ecash

What Was the First Cryptocurrency?
There were cryptocurrencies before Bitcoin

Cryptocurrencies existed before Bitcoin, but they didn't reach public attention until a few years after it was introduced in 2009. The first cryptocurrency was eCash, developed by the company DigiCash in 1990. The concept and company were created by cryptographer David Chaum, who in 1983 published a paper titled "Blind Signatures for Untraceable Payments."

Several other attempts ultimately led up to Bitcoin's creation, but it took more than 20 years to evolve into the popular cryptocurrency it is today.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
The first cryptocurrency was eCash, created by David Chaum's company DigiCash in 1990.
There were several attempts to create a viable and accepted cryptocurrency before Bitcoin.
eCash, B-money, Bit Gold, and Hashcash were very influential in Bitcoin's creation.
What Is Cryptocurrency?

eCash—The First Cryptocurrency
In 1983, American cryptographer David Chaum proposed a form of electronic cash. He conceptualized a token currency that could be transferred between individuals safely and privately; the similarities to modern-day cryptocurrencies are striking.

good to see bitcoin staying strong today since yesterday.

Just treat Bitcoin as KING, simple. That's why they called altcoins because they are "alternative" coins for Bitcoin. Bitcoin is original, Bitcoin is only one.
So for me, without Bitcoin, the entire cryptocurrency will collapse too even how the altcoin project quality is. Just take an example of Bitcoin dominance, it is around 43% which is really near 50%, that's a huge gap versus combined all altcoins.

It looks total crabs that without btc altcoin has no value streaming on its own. If BTC falls, I'm speculating that most altcoins will be dragged along with BTC. This happened couple of times before and today we can see how other altcoins are connected with bitcoin price pump, Bitcoin price pumps today and I believe that the majority of altcoins where on green on the last 24 hours because of bitcoin price moving upwards. I'm talking towards the top 200 altcoins in the market don't get me wrong. Those sh*tcoins are not affected that much.
Not shocking and not something new, whenever bitcoin does plummets when it comes to its price then altcoin will follow.Only a few of those coins would really be going to the opposite side
but on general case where it is really a trend setter and if it falls then everything falls. Not shocking for the origin of cryptocurrency which is Bitcoin, it is really normal that the
market would really be having that kind of reaction as it is in line with Bitcoins price or condition. If there's too much Fud then expect on what would happen.
Its not something new and something you should deal with when you are dealing with this market.

I don't think altcoins can survive without btc, so I think the price of btc will continue to affect the price of altcoins.
some examples have been seen when an altcoin is rising, then the btc price suddenly drops, the altcoin will also immediately fall.
Altcoin/bitcoin has undergone a lot of change in the past few years that we must take into account

1. We have more decentralised exchanges with different blockchains where bitcoin can not be traded and they still make large trades

2. That the decline in bitcoin-altcoin has decreased and we have more stable-altcoin and altcoin-altcoin

3. That bitcoin have less than 45% market dominance, less than in previous years and approaching halving.

If Bitcoin drop doesn’t mean many altcoins will die, they will just follow the trend of Bitcoin and probably will survive the drop as well especially if its a good altcoins.

Looking at the market now, its getting better and Bitcoin is trying to break the resistance level again which I believe Bitcoin will succeed this time. If you are able to buy last week during the correction, I’m sure you have a good profit now so better to take every opportunity on this market to be more profitable.

Basically because most altcoins are just scams or lazy attempts at building a project.  Most every altcoin is not needed, meaning bitcoin already solves what they are trying to do.  So that is the relationship, altcoins are mostly pump toys in bull markets for people to get more bitcoin and that's it.  It's why altcoin volume usually all but dries up in bear markets because no one actually uses it.

there is no altcoin that stands alone in this market, all prices that are formed depend fully on bitcoin, if bitcoin collapses, altcoins also collapse, the reason is that bitcoin is a benchmark of crypto market capitalization and strength. I dare say that alternative coins cannot survive without bitcoin.

If btc would fall it most likely would mean it would be forced out of the markets. And the whole gimmick of crypto is that decentralization makes it resistant to censorship.
Now if BTC would fall, that would mean something has gone wrong and only thing making it strong in the first place somehow failed.

And if that's the case, and decentralization wouldn't work anymore, i can't see any other cryptos surviving, because they would not be needed anymore if they somehow wouldn't fix the problem bitcoin failed in.

You know the answer but just to add some more, it's because most of the market pairs is with bitcoin and that's why the majority of the altcoins are affected. And with such a fall off with some stablecoins, the market had recently put into dumped due to it as it also affects bitcoin. Notice that every time there's news about stablecoins, if it's positive, the price of bitcoin goes up and vice versa. Altcoins will survive but it's not going to be all of them that will have that space for which the market will be turning into some focus on different trends that we experience. So if you're a heavy altcoin investor, you should start considering of allocating funds of yours into bitcoin if you still haven't done it yet.
