I gifted my sister $100 worth of ETH last year when it was hovering around $2k. She also likes to invest on Bitcoin but wants to go all-in. But I told her not to because it’s very risky if she will convert all of her savings into Bitcoin.
Maybe your sister should be teaching you..? She might tell you to fuck off with the Ethereum crap.. she wants real money.. I.e. bitcoin.
She knows that investing in BTC it’s like investing in stocks but in a decentralized and easy way. I only educated her about risk management since she is not interested into technical stuff.
You don't necessarily need to know all of the technical stuff, but at least, if she gets started with getting exposure to bitcoin, then once the size of her bitcoin stash gets to a certain level, then maybe she would be able to move most of her value to some kind of a hardware wallet.
Risk management is a good thing for all of us to learn, continue to learn and to relearn (because there are a lot of things always going on in the bitcoin space) in regards to figuring out reasonable and prudent ways to get into bitcoin, and even if we are employing reasonable and prudent manners to accumulating and to increase our bitcoin stash, we still can figure out ways in which we can attempt to be somewhat aggressive in our BTC investment (accumulation strategy) too.. without getting overly aggressive that would cause us to panic if the BTC price goes down, rather than up or staying flat for a while.
We should realize that in the shorter term, the BTC price does not have any kinds of certainty, and even in the longer term we are not guaranteed to make a profit in bitcoin - even though bitcoin does seem to be amongst the best of asymmetric bets that are currently widely available for anyone to get into at a level that is comfortable for them - even if they might attempt to be aggressive with their level of entry into it.. they need to be careful to always keep in mind their ability to manage their monthly expenses and to always attempt to maintain some emergency funds, too... since no one should put themselves into a position in which they have to sell any of their bitcoin at a time that is not of their complete preference and choosing.
