I remain of the idea that the most widespread currency will be ether. Vitalik is considering big news and ether could easily overcome bitcoins

It's difficult to say one coin to replace another.
I think each coin has its value(except some ICO) and they have their own idea about the technology. The investment to bitcoin will be declined and transferred to invest those potential programs.

I think among all the advantages of BTC being the flagman of cryptocoins, the biggest is Satoshi itself. The idea of unknown developer, who is staying in the shadow is so cool Smiley it's like Anonymous in Vendetta movie.
In my opinion blockchain as the whole doesn't require replacement of BTC, but strong alts being integrated into daily life. As well if BTC dominance will be ~25% and market will not be dependent from BTC price it will be completely another game.

I'm sure for 99% that bitcoin will not be replaced by something else. It would cause biggest collapse in the crypto world. The formation of bitcoin and its community took almost 10 years, it's a lot! Something really bad must happen for bitcoin to die. If this happens,  the whole market will go into a long depression. At the moment it is not beneficial to anyone.

In the future, Bitcoin will apparently not be the world's most famous currency for trading because people only view Bitcoin as a property to hold and sell when it is profitable, not be used as a currency. Cryptocurrencies will become the future of coins, and altcoins will replace Bitcoin to become the world's most leading currency for the next 30 years.

It's all bullshit when people who parade alts as Bitcoin's replacement, yet they still carry signatures and logos that all propose Bitcoin or even use its logo. True, people see Bitcoin as property to hold, but how many of them had the guts to hold on when it dipped all the way to $6k, when they bought it at 10 to 19k? They all sold, leaving those who do use it to spend cheaper coins to get. Bitcoin is used all over the place even on this forum. Maybe some people accept ETH, but any other alts? Other than for bounties, which all help promote the alt anyway, there has been no good alt that serves as currency outside of Litecoin and Monero.

bitcoin is difficult to be replaced. This coin is said to be almost perfect enough so needless effort for another crypto for bitcoin can substitute and it is also not in quick time.

I believe crypto is not going away but it looks like in the near future bitcoin is going to be a afterthought.   What coins do you think have a chance at replacing it and being adopted for use?
thereum takes the second place. I guess only ETH will beat the BTC someday, if cryptocurrency market keeps profitable in the future, because still take long long time for ETH to reach BTC. BTC is too strong, has most impact on market.

Bitcoin may not disappear in the future, but will change or change its name. But from the alts except the ether it can be both waves, neo and even nano.

If there is any platform that may overtake Bitcoin (even in the next 5 years), it is Ethereum. It is literally challenging the traditional stock markets.

Everything is possible in cryptocurrency market. This is possible by the investors. In January, the price of Ethereum crossed 1300$,Now the price of Ethereum is low.You can do early adoption. If there are any chance to replace the Bitcoin, It will be made by Ethereum. Grin Grin

I dont know whats your basis on such thing but you do have a point when it comes that theres always a possibility for bitcoin to be replaced by another altcoin which do have better technology compared to it but for now its too early to say such thing. We have seen on how big is the community and the dominance of bitcoin on the entire market which would signifies that it do have a strong foundation which cant really be easily replaced to its current top spot.

Well as far as am concerned i don't believe that Bitcoin will be replace by any other altcoins for Bitcoin remain the number one crypto currency and it will be had for any other crypto currency to replace Bitcoin not even Bitcoin Cash or ethereum.  I don't see it happen in the future.

There is no coin that will be able to replace bitcoin. I'm confident that bitcoin will remain the leader for a very long period. The community trusts BTC and this is the major thing that makes BTC the top-1 coin.

Very good question ..
if in my opinion what will replace this bitcoin is a coin that has a high price at this time, many projects bigger project`
and better than bitcoin, but the price of a coin can not reach like the price already in bitcoin at the moment,
and bitcoin already has a name and
it's hard to change and replace it.

many coin may have better tech than BTC .
but now BTC is like digital gold , while other alts are like currency .
so challenging btc at 1st rank is too hard .

My thoughts exactly. Just because of that I think bitcoin will be with us for many years to come.

The name and concept is irreplaceable, taking into account the ethical and moral aspects of Bitcoin, what we can find in the future is projects with more advanced updates and different concepts. Now, in relation to the financial side, no currency can surpass Bitcoin by the force of marketcap.

For me fundamentally speaking the altcoins could replace Bitcoin are Ethereum and Neo but it would take years to happen that because there's a lot of new people here in crypto world that doesn't realize the technology of the altcoins all they know right now in crypto are they will be millionaire.
