I think twitter is the mass social media for promoting ico as most of influencers are there, recently, reddit is also being used to manipulate icos and crypto projects, steemit is a very targetted social site, if you can create good articles there you can drive good traffic to any ico.

Absoluteley bitcointalk! This forum community enter here for %100 crypto currency news and projects. But the other platforms not same. My favourite is here!
In my opinion all the social media are good for promoting ICO, but the reach the most familiar audiences for ICO then it would be Medium and steemit. But facebook and twitter and others populars social media also good to introduce project to wider audiences.
