The best social media for promoting an ICO are all that you can post it, while more sites you count to promote your ICO the more people will going to see it and that its the idea.
I think twitter is the mass social media for promoting ico as most of influencers are there, recently, reddit is also being used to manipulate icos and crypto projects, steemit is a very targetted social site, if you can create good articles there you can drive good traffic to any ico.
I think Facebook and Youtube are also very important. Today everyone has a Facebook account and even kids are addicted to watching youtube. I think the two social media are the best in promoting an ICO project.
For the time being a very popular social media to do promotions, I chose Facebook and Twitter. most investors know the ICO of advertising promotions on Facebook. There are also ads that use the ICO Instagram. Yes, now Instagram started very many people using this medium.

Twitter is best and popluar. Facebook is also good, but it's not better than twitter. Because Facebook is banning all ads promoting cryptocurrencies. It is not suitable for promotion
I have seen many ads about crypto on Youtube. I think it's really effective because everyone all over the world uses youtube everyday.
Twitter is the really good social media for promoting ICO to the general public, same as FB . But Telegram is the best for communicating to the community who has expressed interest in the ICO by joining ur channel.
From my experience i would go for This forum, Twitter, Telegram and reddit... Facebook used to be good when it came to promoting ICO ads but i think the banned the advertising of ICOs on facebook which makes facebook not to future on my list

Honestly if you want to reach as many people as possible then facebook would be the best bet for you to use here. Once one person can confirm something and a couple of people start sharing it then it just grows like wide fire. The theory of hive mind is much more pronounced on facebook and they just follow suit. The are a lot more new potential investors on facebook than anywhere else.
For me the existence of different social media sites would be the best way to promote an ICO. Facebook is one of the most visited site when it comes to social interactions and this is where you can have a great opportunity to uplift the platform of an ICO. Telegram, Twitter, and through this furom is also the first pace in promoting an ICO because its all started here.
In our country here in Asia, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are the most used platform. But most English countries sort of like Reddit, telegram, and 4chan. I hope this helps.

I used facebook previously and it has impressive result, at least imo before the Ban
Reddit shall be good as the traffic there is insanely good too, but not sure about if there's huge bot traffic on Ads there, might need to check

Then maybe twitter because i see a lot of people also promoting ICO there, so a lot of people in there may be interested to your promotion. Then facebook also should be good, as we all know that theres a million or billions of users in there. And among them, there should be atleast a few individuals who might show some interest.
