I think your guess is right about them but Ripple and Neo Kasi are still in the Neo, it's really great that it's new with the price and its name last two years.

To be honest the OP have combine two things together because you can't get the both features in any altcoin in the crypto currency market cause if altcoin is the safest then it gain much pump in price(an example USDT,DAI) and if an altcoin is reliable it will definitely have it own blue time in the market (an example ETH, XMR,ETP, BNB,RDD).

i doubt that there is a thing like the safest here as it is the cryptocurrencybworld and it is very unstable sometimes

In my opinion, that is ethereum at this moment. ETH at this point is the biggest altcoin if i'm not mistaken and not on having highest market value but on its influence in the market. Ethereum is mostly involved on new ICO projects wherein ICO investors are also using eth to invest which highly affects its popularity and market volume, making it less risky to hold for a long time.Do you think that Ethereum is the best option for someone who is thinking about getting into crypto for the first time? MY opinion, these coins are the most reliable and the safest for the long term without any risk. (MONERO, NEO, IOTA, ETC)

It would be safe if you buy Ethereum or NEO because this two altcoin has a potential to make at least 200% or more on the next bullrun that could happen this year.
