The decision should be yours at the end despite everything that you will hear. I personally would invest in ETH because I feel secure with it, it's a good platform and I believe in its future. At the end, almost all the coins have practically same trend and their prices are growing pretty simultaneously so choosing some known, strong coin is maybe the best idea.

If you have 5,000 dollar, then it's totally on you! If you want long-term trading then invest in Top coins of Coinmarket cap or if you want short-term trading, then invest in Coins like, STRAT, VERGE, or many more with more price fluctuations. I prefer you to choose long-term trading because it has good profit and less loss.

I do not know what you even advise. Probably if you want to invest. Choose the best coins. So you risk losing everything. So the top 20 is the list you should pay attention to. Which coin to choose is up to you.

Don't invest in cryptocurrencies yet, as it's likely in the next month or two, the market will still go down, so just wait. I think that only when bitcoin drops to 2000 - 2500, it will be possible to start investing in cryptocurrencies.

It is better to invest in the top 20 coins, and what exactly it all depends on preferences, then in a year or two you will have a good profit, the main thing is to wait for the right moment and watch the price change.
Diversifying among top 200 coins will give better returns on investment in my opinion. Current situation dictates to act accordingly with trend which causes more downside pressure. Putting all eggs in single basket will be dealbreaker if something goes wrong.

It is better to invest in the top 20 coins, and that it all depends on preferences, then in a year or two you will get a good profit, the main thing is not to sell the coin in the next six months, as the opportunity to make money in such a market is small.

for me, 5000 $ is big money. Everything you do is your decision, if you want to make a long-term investment, I recommend buying bitcoin and ethereum. Maybe you can buy 1 BTC and the rest you buy another ethereum or coin which is top 5 in cmc. But if I become you, I will buy 1 BTC for a long-term investment, and the rest I will trade every day to make a profit. all decisions are in your hands

The $ 5000 amount used is good because for now the market is receding, if you want to invest, do it with top-ranking coins because it will definitely rise again when recovering.

Try to join with crypocurrency groups so you can understand more about coins that have the potential ...
like Ripple, ETH, BCH. I think with 5000 $ even you can get more if it's successful when prices go up and the market goes green.

Go and invest it in HireGo, a new coin that just hit the market and trading on Idex about a week now. There is a chance of it being listed on bigger centralized exchanges soon. The team look serious to me. I am also planning to buy some quantity of it with my little savings.

The amount is very big, and the risk is rather big! You have to be very strong in spirit and morally, so that kind of money to invest! I would start small!

If you want to reduce the risk, then avoid investing into cryptocurrencies.
Wait for good entry on the stock market, soon price will be very interesting for buying these assets.
Why are you on this forum and generally participate in the bounty campaign if you recommend to leave to the stock market? very strange advice from you Huh

To be quite honest spending five thousand dollars on just investing in coins right now is what I would call super risky to be quite frank with you. If you are looking to put in 5k USD and let it sit for 3-5 years then that mitigates the high risk, but if you are looking only to make quick bucks then I think those days for making really fast money in crypto are well and truly over. I earn a little bit form an arbitraging robot and also do a little trading, but I lost most of my capital last year when the whole crypto markets tanked so I am not the best one to ask for advice right now. I feel at a terrible loss and do not know if the markets will ever recover or reach their old all time highs.

If you want to invest your money, I think it would be nice to buy Ethereum on them.
Now the price for it is very good, and the prospects for the coin are estimated by very many players on the market, as well as its reliability.
So try at this stage to invest in Ethereum, and after the market recovers, make a profit.

I suggest to diversify your portfolio and to buy Bitcoin and altcoins from top 20, for examle Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero, Neo, Nem, Eos, Cardano, etc.

Everyone is advised to invest in these well-known coins. I think that investing only in these coins is not the right choice, but investing in coins with low volume with some of the money saves you more money Smiley

The 5,000 dollars invested as you would have any other amount for cryptocurrency. Because it is a significant amount, however, I recommend that you invest in the top coins on the coinmarketcap. Not all the amount in a project, but choose at least 4 investment projects. From the category altcoins, I suggest you buy ETH because it will have a hardfork and the price will increase. I also recommend Onthology, it is a potential currency.

Man, if I were you I would have multiple options how to spend these money. We have bunch of hype ICOs, price for altcoins is too low, ethereum and BTC are on 1 year minimum and you don't even know how to spend 5000 $. Seems weird!

This strategy is followed by all investors throughout 2018. Every month they believe that they are buying coins at the bottom of the price, and then the price continues to fall.
If you want to invest in crypto currency, invest in parts, gradually watching the market, or there is another option that I use myself, wait until the situation with cryptocurrencies becomes more favorable, otherwise the risks are too high.

It is interesting to always try to find out what people think but never take as the basis for any investment or action! If you do not know what to do with 5k USD, that means you do not have the minimum of information or knowledge, in addition, what are your goals? Through this you will know what to do and even what to look for. Wink
