One of the major thing to look out for me is the team involved in the project because if it is a reputable team, investors would naturally attach themselves to it. The investors search for team that have track record, they always put "their money where their eyes are".

Again, the future goal/statement of the coin, the associating partners they are working with like for instance, exchanges (if reputable, would give investors secured feeling for their investment).

I try to understand details, strength, and weaknesses of any new coin and then invest the correct amount of money into it and wait until the price to the point where I accept and sell it.
Yes, The saying you quoted has solved the all issue. You need to first use particular coin in order to understand its potential in detail. Whitepaper matters a lot but just by reading whitepaper, you cannot predict the future of a coin because there are so many coins out in market, that have nicely written whitepaper but they are not preforming up to the mark in market.

You can never be sure and nobody can give you any guarantees. You should rely only on your own experience, logic and intuition. On my way there were some projects which have gone scam though I really believed they'd been progressive. So you never know, but you can gain experience

There is nothing which can convince me in trusting of some new coin until and unless that coin makes a good reputation in the market. There are number of coins there in the world of crypto currency. There is no way that you can trust each and every coin present over. You have to make sure this thing that you are trusting the right coin and that coin is having some good reputation in the market.

Actually I don't trust much new altcoins since a lot of scams are now happening, I look first on its systems and if i see this offers great system then that is the time I study that coins and invest some of my money. Before you invest you should study that coin for sure that you will not loose big money.
If you are having good experience in the world of crypto currency, then I think you will not trust some new coin. There is nothing which can help you in trusting the new coin. For me, I only trust some coin when I see that it is doing well in the market and whether that coin is having some kind of future or not. Otherwise, it is useless to trust some coin which can give you nothing fruitful in return.

I trust an altcoin if I see that they have put a lot of effort in the design and that it is good thought through. In addition, I think it is essential that they have released some of the important parts of the coin (and thereby have shown that they are able to develop a coin). Support of some prominent figures in the crypto world is a big pre.

its not easy to give our trust to a new altcoin which don't have any reputation but as long as the dev and the team can give some effort for their project then i think, people will trying to trust them. beside that, with the time running, people will see how good the dev and the team supporting their coins and how good the coins in the exchanges itself. we can see that if the coins is really good enough to survive in exchanges, then the dev and the team is trying and work hard to support the coins and with make new innovations for the coins, i think the coins will be survive for a long term.

i wonder what makes you trust a new altcoin? what you're looking for in their company page etc...?

You can see that they have been updating their website or announcement threads here. That is one.
Another is for their faces to be revealed is a good part. In doing so it puts themself at risk if they do something bad or scam others.
If they are risking all of it then you know it is a qualified one. You will just have to check the legitimacy of their names.

Like the usual saying goes- Trust is not given, Trust must be earned.
I can not trust any new coin regardless of the project whitepaper etc. But i will definitely trade the ups and down of it if it has volume

i think we must open minded, new altcoin have many different concept,
that why i like... the different
Yeah it is true if we will have the different thing we will be able to have the new thing but the value of the bitcoin and the other currency will get disturb. People will get double minded and they will not be able to take the proper decision and they will not know what the price of the bitcoin is going to be then in the coming future and they will suffered lose because of this so it is good to use the new thing but with the proper information.

i wonder what makes you trust a new altcoin? what you're looking for in their company page etc...?

Trust, that is something that is almost never there. But, I will put some effort into a new coin if the dev has a known and proven track record, the team seems to want to succeed, there is a new algo or tech behind the coin, things like that. But I never trust these coin, never give them money. If a coin is going to make it, there are other ways to take part in the project and other ways to make money.
If you really want to become a successful person in your life, then you have to make sure that you are trusting the right coin. There is no way that you can trust a new coin. It actually takes a lot of time to see the trend and behavior of the coin which is introduced to this world. You cannot trust any coin and that too blindly. So you need to make sure that you are trusting a right coin first.

Wondering why I would look into company’s page because many fake websites can be created now a days. It’s better to watch out for the trusted discussion sources such as our beloved forum. If I see any upcoming ICO and related altcoin then I will visit the announcement section and will check out the reviews of crypto enthusiast. You will see great deal of information over there to apply your own logics on how to get trust on particular altcoin.

you you have to believe that next you have to invest in to alt coins. have a good technology, have a good idea and suitable practice and patience. who are starting trading first that people first investing in to bit coins. next one is other coins. but we have to knowing about this coins and get rich in to that field. one search about this coins in the Google. next you have to try and get in to that.

Transperancy mostly. Its also good when the team is active on social media.
Transparency would always be the thing when i do invest on new altcoin. They should not active only on social media but also into this forum and other websites. They are active on their marketing and they are active on giving updates regarding into the project. This is the thing i do like to see on a new coin which we can really somehow convince our selves that we do hit the right project.
Yeah still you can't completely trust anything , anyone online for 100%!
Even in bitcoin itself i put a little doubt just to anticipate something unexpected happened ,
A new coin with clear purpose , well known/trustworthy developer and has a great funding could be your consideration ,
Also the last one is about how the market availability.

I will trust a coin with the following elements:
- Have a good idea, suitable for practice.
- Have a professional DEV team.
- There is a community of great interest.
- Have good technology.
These are the factors I always care about when deciding to invest in a coin.
