20-30% is a very large number. between 600K million people
iu very unlikely to happen in a period of 4 years. I bet that bitcoin users will not exceed 1% of the total population of the earth

If big companies turned their salary to bitcoin and enforce all their employee to get bitcoin wallet then we might pass the 1%,hopefully this will happen.

Still when I ask friends, relatives and friends of friends they dont know what the hell I am talking about. It is like 2 out of 100 only knew it. And those 2 just heard it not using it. I dont know man I think advertisement and media will decide about that.

The question is on 2020 so i think by that time a lot of people will know bitcoin as it be featured on news and magazine when the halving comes and the price soar high.

10-20 percent I guess there still many percentage of poor and elite out there that will not embrace changes even virtual world already exist more people will still not go and change natural ways of currency, CC and fiat will still be exist and never be change.

I hope and voted for 40-50%, its a long shot I know but I am still hopeful since technology is spreading rapidly but realistically if only 20-30% of the world start using it, that would be great but still lots of obstacles in path.

probably it will be up to 60% people will own bitcoin on earth. you know, many people know bitcoin, but not interested to own it. CMIIW

About 5-10 percent, but most of them won't hodl them in actual wallets with private keys, instead most of them hodlers will use Bitcoin through third party apps.
Most of the future users will most likely not even know that they are using Bitcoin and that might not even be a bad thing.

I think it`ll be a 50/50 scenario, but more in growing pains which global investors will notice after the reactions of american markets.

Like we see on wall st, people losing money because the market is in a free all only then people seek for other alternatives.

Well, the amount of people which uses Bitcoin will more likely depend on the world economical development. if it is going bad as many economists predict then alternatives like Gold and Bitcoin will rise in usage.

the percentage of people who owns bitcoin is totally depends upon what people think about it . how much success bitcoin will get and how soon markets start accepting bitcoin as a alternative payment methods and also how government are going to react about high usage of bitcoin so it is not possible to predict how many people will join bitcoin till 2020

I actually voted for 30 to 40 % percentage of possible people who will be owners of bitcoin by 2020. I can merely say this due to my place most of the people begin to discover things which is really fast from the word of mouth people can think a lot but most especially if they know that there is money present to earn they will go for it..

I can say that less than 2 % because I can see that my goverment is forbidding bitcoin as valid currency. They said for various reason , for example : anonymous, untraceable , and other negative impact.
And yes it still need more time for bitcoin to be a real global currency !

Well from what it seems, 2-5% seems a pretty good hunch. Not much people own bitcoin right now, by 2020 atleast some more people should get attracted towards BTC but not like billions of people will buy them in just 4 years. It will be gradual and we never know if the value drops and the interest is lost.

Yeah right I doubt 4 years can grow very quickly users it seemed impossible. we don't know how many bitcoin users today. according to many users is about 2-3 million people it was quite small with an estimated world population of more than 3 billion people. it means that the user bitcoin is currently only around 0.001% is very small
