I've answered 2-5% and that's just me being very optimistic. I was taking in into the account the latest bitcoin acceptance in countries and hoping that there will be a few more to accept it, also the marketing. A lot of people are using steam and are bound to see bitcoin in the payment options and that should bring in more people too. Altho I can say that in my town there are a few people everyday asking me about bitcoin and probably a lot more on other places too.

Looking for an answer to this question the OP has asked is like trying to find a tiny needle in a warehouse stacked with hay. It's not going to be possible. Even at the moment, no one can actually tell the number of users. In 2020, we can only imagine the number based on perception. But then perception isn't fact!

I think that we can really estimate it because we can know how many transactions per day but we can never really tell the exact but at least we can predict/estimate, I think that by that year 20% of the population will know bitcoin and will use this. And 20% is a big number enough.

Im going to have to go with a conservative estimate of 5% of the worlds population will own bitcoin by 2020. 5% of the entire world population is enough people to create a country that has more people than the USA. There will definitely be more widespread usage of bitcoin as a payment method, and more governments will have to approve of bitcoin.
I think 5% for the estimated of the user of bitcoin for 2020 is very low because i think it is more than 10% now and it will keep growing because bitcoin is unstoppable and its price is keep on rising. The 3 years left will be enough for bitcoin to climb at least 20% of our population because we can see a lot of information that are keep spreading thru the internet and that will be a big help for bitcoin.
I will base it from the users here in our place i think it would be 10-30, the progress of people knowing bitcoin here is a bit slow and they were more busy in their work and family than watch a news in internet about btc. well 3 years is far so we still cant predict whats gonna happen in btc adoption internationally.
I think after 3 years, people will more become open minded and most of the people in our world will use internet to make things easier than before. It's impossible to tell it now though it's guessing since it's very unpredictable as we don't have basis on what answer we'll choose. Looking forward, what I can only say is that percentage of peole who uses bitcoin will increase in year of 2020 and the for following the follwng years as ouur currency are being developed and improved. This poll completes the other one and i'm really looking forward to everyone's input in this.

I think 2020 that yeay the population of bitcoin user is 2% in the whole world because they billion of people they have million of bitcoin user and after 3 years they will become hundred million user. And the price will increase more because many people interest to join and invest in bitcoin. And for sure bitcoin will become more popular and brighter and many news will release on that year.

I think between 2%-5%. The percentage of currently Bitcoin users in the world is lower than 1% I think. In 3 years it won't be very different, it's a short time period for big changes... I'm being optimistic to think it can reach to 2%-5%, it only will happen if the Blockchain be improved, transactions delays issue be fixed and a nice marketing be done to bring more users.
