Freelance work of course depends on the target we want, if we want to work freelance in the IT field then IT skills are needed, and the best trend right now in my opinion is IT because of good time flexibility, and the IT sub field that is very much sought after is video editor for youtube, tik tok and so on, I have a friend who can earn around $350 per month from freelance video editing.
If you're looking for freelance work, I suggest first doing a little brainstorming on what you enjoy doing more with your time.
For example, if you’re more tech savvy and don’t mind spending your time staring at screens, I think digital media like graphic design is a great side gig.

I don't think anybody should suggest the skills you have to learn for you, we are completely different, we all have the aspect which we have passion for, you know the aspect which you are having passion for so the best thing you should do is to learn skill in your place on interest, whenever you are doing work which you are having passion for you will notice you will do the work well and you will be happy whenever you are doing it and not only making money.

It is very difficult to have passion and work together. I think no one wants to give up their passion but sometimes because of life we will give up our passion to run after another job as long as it brings financial balance to you and our family. Because passion does not always satisfy the needs of life. When you earn a good income from a job and it fulfills the daily needs of that job. Gradually it will also become your passion.

I think it is better of thinking about what you have passion about to do, it is only you who understands yourself much, you would know a better skill that you can fix yourself. But I still know some good skill that that pays a lot like the graphics design, computer programming, art and painting.

I have seen a lot of people who suffer from the problem of choosing a subject while learning to freelance.
They choose the things that are most in-demand and then they can't make a good career, cause they can't do good at that subject.
I always tell my students to value their passion, to work on the subject they like. It is very easy to earn money if you can acquire good skills with 100% effort in the subject of your choice. choose your choosable subject in which you feel interested, give 100% effort and make yourself the best on that particular subject, that's all.

There are two big skills that it might be possible for you to learn: Coding and/or Design. Demand for these two skills in all the various iterations is huge - new ideas are created every day which need someone to convert into action. There is a large amount of variety within them, you might start learning how to code phone applications, become a security specialist, create avatars or logos for people or learn 3D modelling. You're most likely to do well in the fields that attract you the most and align with your existing interests, but whatever you do will take a long commitment in order to master it, you better be prepared to work for very cheap or free to get your practice in.

There are natural talents but why some can have multiple talents? that means it is truly possible to learn and to master every talents. There is nothing wrong of giving him a suggestion and he can try that out, see if that works for him or not but I like the rest of what you said, indeed it's best to choose the skill that we like the most because this can make use more comfortable.We cannot feel too much fatigue than when we force ourselves to work on a job that pays high but we don't really have an interest with. Time will come that you will complain for that job and later on you will quit it. At some point of our lives we can realize that money isn't everything.
Actually sometimes we will discover on what things we like to work upon venturing some profitable things to us, since sometimes we would provably learn some new things which we didn't expect that we can do it that's why people need to explore more skills since next to that is more job will come to us. Also you already give some good points but make sure you know how to deal with your co-workers because your passion on your desired job will be useless if you and your teammate will not fit together.
It is also a bit of a coincidence as well. I had no idea what I was capable of, or what I could be doing online. One day I was here and wrote something and someone replied and we have been working for many years. It was good luck that brought us together, but hard work and love that kept us for so many years.So, it is not always calculated, I could have worked hard to find some jobs in some other field unrelated and maybe wouldn't be able to earn a single dollar, but thank god I was here and I found this job. So even though you could develop some skills, I would advice that you should be open to every job, in order to make sure that you are not limiting yourself.

you could learn on a very short period of time which means it would be not that ideal if you do start up from scratch specially if you do really need to earn income badly or in shortest time as possible

I think that in work, we should not look at money as the main reference, because our work will not be optimal if the results do not match our expectations. like me here, working in this forum sometimes get paid, but sometimes not, but on the other hand we can learn trading and investing, from trading I will get daily income, but is that sure, I don't think so, because until now I still process, and can only try to achieve the goal
That's true although not everyone can do that because to be honest money is a motivation in itself for some people,I understand what you mean but indeed to work in this forum we don't expect money and just think that money is a bonus from hard work,
because if we only want money and when it doesn't get paid accordingly then it will be disappointing

Almost every new product that hits the market every day begins with new technologies, technology is at the heart of world development.Out of all the tech related industries, I think programming is the best skill to make the most money. But to become a professional programmer requires you to put in a lot of time and effort even I think its only suitable for really smart people who can approach it in the best way.

I think that the only skill that you can put in a freelance job is that you put the one you master the most, if the person puts on his resume that he has several it is difficult for someone to hire him, because eventually when looking for a professional it is that he really has a branch specific and who is good at it, it is not the same to get an electronic engineer whose branch is industrial instrumentation to program PLC, than another who is the same electronic engineer but who has experience in telecommunications, but who knows only a little about PLC, Apart from doing other jobs, I think many contractors see that.
