When the price drops, I look at the state of the global market to see if it's a drop for everyone or just the currency in question, after I try to find the answers quickly and I make a decision

It depends, of course: if you have good reason to believe that it's only a correction, you only have to wait ad - eventually - buy more coin.
If not, and it's really a crash, well... sell and try to minimize the losses.

Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).

For me when prices are falling this is the best time to buy bitcoin and other dump coins. This now the chance to save coins for the future that will make my life change. All l know you cannot experience their life as a rich person from bitcoin if you don't push yourself to believe that you will gain something you don't have before. Try to do it so that you will get the best profit in bitcoin. To be a part of millionaires in bitcoin.

just hold your own tits while you are touching your balls and repeat "Yes, i am going to survive to this" and that is it, during the next few days, you will see that this worked, and you earned more money than what you had before, since the price went up, just like all the other dips.

The most difficult thing is to overcome fear during falling prices, but if you take down and is sale will buy more of these coins, your benefit bude is very high. Those who panic experienced traders make high income. So the main thing is to succumb to mass panic and not follow the majority.
Mass panic and hysteria happens when there is rumor or FUD that a major country is planning to ban bitcoins and then everyone starts to sell, This has happened on two occasions with China and mot recently the South Koreans as well. If you give in to them you are bound to lose and those who cause the FUD gain by buying low and later selling high.

As I observed when Christmas is coming it is very high badly fall when it comes to a new year, Atleast everone doesn't panic after all because  every transactions they made us from december.  It happens on my friend that sell on that month because the price went high but we doesn't predicted how much it could fall or even high rise. He still got some on his hand just about 15% of the price, so I think don't panic and control your emotions so you don't get worry.

The smartest way to do when prices is falling is to catch it. Take the opportunity to buy some more. Just be sure that the coin will recover lately.
Exactly! There are number of investors especially the newbies who instead of cashing that opportunity in a good manner get panic and sell their coins at low price. The best thing which you need to do at that time is not to get panic but to keep holding the coins which you are already having and other than this, buying more number of coins in order to have bigger profit later on.

We see price rise and plunge so often in the cryptocurrency market as a result of the volatility and it's some concern to have to just look on, while there're lots of money on the table as the exchanges apparently do not offer ways to profit from falling markets. In the light of that, I recently started paying closer attention to Tether - USDT and my discovery is that, with some understanding of how "pair trading in forex trade" works, one can come up with ways to short a falling market.

For instance with BTC-USDT, on confirmation that a top have been formed and price about to reverse, one can buy USDT and wait to buy back BTC at cheaper rate. Happy trading!

I think that when prices fall I will continue to buy in and just wait for the price to rise, as the price increase in the value of my property is also increased a lot.

When bitcoin prices fell, so what to do?...
It seems, i will take the same steps as what 'the traders were doing'. Normally the traders reading this situation should dash off and buy everything exchange-shaped that they can get as much as possible. I think it`s the general principle of a trader.

(and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).

For a short learn,  I recommend you to use some tricks of the general trade. But you don`t forget to always doing a market analysis on any potential price increases.
In general 'a short learn', is not possible to derive implications for long-term compliance from such a short learn period.

Don't turn off your computer, as some people say. You have to always re-evaluate your position.
The first thing to do is find out what is leading to the price crash. After that, you need to know what are the chances for a recovery, and what are the chances for another price drop. Based on this, you can take your decision. But for that you have to work with probabilities and analysis of the fundamentals.

When i choose a coin I always do a little research, look it up in coinmarketcap and when it belong to at-least top 100, then even if the price is falling im still holding it waiting for it to high again

Many people afraid whenever bitcoin drop they may lost their money more and more, but they don't know, bitcoin is hardly to drop too low, so they sell their bitcoin to cut the lost, however i think before we do that we should stay calm and think bitcoin will rise again in the future, this is just a fluctuation of bitcoin so hold until it rise again. And for me the best thing to do is patient.

When the price starts to go down, it's best to keep a cool head and analyze if it's a targeted or widespread fall, see if the currency starts to fade and show signs of a reversal of trend, and after only make a decision

This is good question when you are active trader and watch daily market ups and down then you have the idea that how to do with the price falling position and you will take advantage of this market position because when you have an idea about the falling market ration then you may pick the altcion at their bottom, you will pick the altcoin at the most lowest price and when the market will become stable then you have the good trade to sell or if you have to take trade some long time then wait for the market position when it will run in positive position then altcoin goes up and you can sell and take good return.
