Ethereum 2.0 has been making an announcement since the beginning of this year but it is in Q4 and nothing has appeared yet. This makes investors lose their patience even more and I think prices will continue to fall later this year. According to TA, Bitcoin is in a bearish phase and there is a high possibility that the whole market will be in a sea of blood by the end of the year, not just ETH.

Ethereum (eth) is generally not very active towards the end of the year. If there is no extraordinary price change in bitcoin, the price of Ethereum will be between $ 350-500 at the end of the year. As far as I estimate, the eth’s price will increase to over $ 1000 in 2021.
I also agree that bitcoin's price change is decisive. The price of ETH will not change much if bitcoin remains stable around $ 10,000. ETH 2.0 is also not going to make a big difference. After checking Coinmarketcap, i found eth start raising of its price, around 354$ at this moment. It's hard to predicted Eth price at the end of current year. Ethereum 2.0 update and the incredible growth of DeFi projects, is already start working behind fueling the Ethereum price. 487$ was the all time high of this year yet, i guess it will cross more than $550 after next bull run
Ethereum 2.0 is a much need, if they will start to update it sooner the better as many is in need for better transaction that are fast and convenient. Surely once its launched the price wil totally surge up and might create new ATH for ETH. There are still many users of ETH nowadays especially due to DeFi hype but now it tends to be use mainly in doing transactions which is not bad as it serve it's serves its purpose but unlike before that many also do hold some of it as investment and waited for the price to rise up.
Just relax and better to not expect too much on the ethereum and also to the most of the crypto coins but we have hint that it will rise maybe because of what happened right now in the crypto market . Im also want the value of the crypto to up more this year or maybe prpbably next year is higher chances because it is new year and mostly people are buying crypto during that season.
Around $650 is fair pricing per ETH but it is debatable the price will even go higher than $500 in the next few months. The net gain of ETH is not more than $200 in the last 3 months, so the bulls are tired of getting dumped due to the correlation with BTC. The positive correlation is the biggest problem for independent market rates and the price discovery is laggy behind the main cryptocurrency. Maybe in the next decade, ETH can retouch the $1500 price tag unless there gonna be another alternative blockchain such as Polkadot which is currently the biggest competition for smart contracts, IMHO.
$500 - $700 I guess it would be fine to close the price at the end of this year, maybe it would be better if it could hit like the previous ATH later this year, but I'm not sure about that because the market still hasn't been able to jump more significantly, because so far It's just a recovery that can be sustained and I think that's good enough during this world crisis. I just don't want to get my hopes up too high and I don't want the new ATH to be reached quickly because in the end it will just collapse fast too, so let the increase happen gradually as it will be more stable and will certainly get better.

As of writing this post, the price of Ether is 348.68 US dollar, this is based from Google's price and chart for Ether. Back on the price prediction/expectation, do not expect a conclusive price of Ether even at the end of the year. There is many factors that can affect it's value, it might change it overtime. Expect that there could be some unexpected events on Ether's value that might brought it for better or for worse. Expect the unexpected. Though for me, my prediction for eth's price at the nd of this year will still be at the price range of $330 to $400, close to it's current value.

No one knows or no one can predict the price of ethereum by the of the year, but only one thing i know for sure that if btc rises ethereum will follow along with some altcoins. So expect good price of ethereum when btc goes on a bullrun.

I will keep on holding it until the upcoming release of ETH v2, not greedy but investing in the tax term to see a bright future

Etherium was one of the strong coins in cryptocurrency and no doubt about that coins because we never expecting this etherium will have huge prices coming on it maybe it will reach the prices that you said or more than that price that we never seen in our life. But for holding etherium was our priority if we want to earn from ETH.
