my prediction at the end of the year ethereum will increase at least 50% from the current price. provided ethereum has changed to PoS before the end of the year. The testnet is currently running, if successful ethereum is likely to implement PoS. this will be the biggest reason people buy. 50% might be too low if you look at this possibility, because when ethereum was just about to do a testnet ethereum's price had gone up more than 50%. So maybe the end of the year ethereum prices have passed 500$.
If the run continuos I am guessing it can reach $600 to $1000 at the end of the year, bitcoin can do a 500 to 1000 dollar increase or decrease only in 24 hours, maybe ETH can do it too but not as big as those. for the end of this year I think $ 600- $ 700 is the most realistic price in my opinion, because it is not really the main benchmark price. but because if you look at current market conditions the price will be realistic until the end of this year
I am thinking that with Eth 2.0 coming up eth might go beyond the ATH of 2017 . Also , its like the trending of DeFi has brought about an increase demand of ETH for gas therefore leading to continuous rise in Eth price.
