There are plenty of obstacles that crypto currency will be facing of if incase it can dominate the fiat and become the primary currency in the future.

There is a big chance that it will take hundred of years to happen, especially that there are plenty of uneducated persons out there who don't even know how to use cellphone and other electronic devices.
Precisely. consider those people who are not willing to take chances to this innovations, they are still many of them who still use the old fiat system and no chance to change it up to this digital/crypto currency. It will take many more years before it will take place and many generations to learn how this system can help the financial institutions and being realized.

Obstacles as part of the test of this system once being resolves everything will bring to success.

Many discussions are being held if bitcoin can be the primary currency in the world. Let's assume it can be.

lets be realistic instead of making assumption.
what bitcoin did was only to start a revolution. it literary changed the world. before bitcoin (pre-2008) people might have been able to only imagine currency being decentralized but after 2009 they didn't need to imagine it, the decentralized currency was a reality ever since.

i am really not interested in what might come along after a 100 years where i am no longer around! what i am interested in right now is this revolution and being a part of it.

We cannot prevent others from expressing their views on digital currency such as bitcoin. But all their opinions remain speculative. No one knows what will happen in the future but let's look forward to the outcome in the cryptocurrency world. and most importantly helping people when it comes to financial issues.

What will money look like hundreds of years from now? I predict its gonna be digital of course but I'm interested if its going to be a cryptocurrency or something else.

Whatever it is, it's kind of, not making sense to think of what will be the status of our currency system "hundreds of years from now". Like you have mentioned, it should be digital so from there, just think of any possible improvement that might be applied.

About crypto, no one sees it coming. No one thinks that kind of currency will exist, thanks to its founder. Maybe someday, other geniuses out there will show something and surprised us. Who knows. But as for me, I believed paper money will still be here 100 years from now. Getting rid of it is impossible* to happen.

Anyways, we are just speculating and predicting here. Maybe don't bother with that for now and don't think of it too much.

It could go either way though. If we all could just get our acts together, then it's likely that we'll have a digital future and crypto would probably kickstart a trend that would familiarize majority of the people to veer away from paper money. But it could also end up quite differently if current leaders and those succeeding them would focus on childish agendas instead of pushing technology forward.

We need to understand where the technology is going before we think about what happens next.
I don't think we can do that with human intelligence right now.
Maybe our grandchildren can come up with some ideas.
Maybe the artificial intelligence developed now will find the best method for us...
Who knows, maybe the money system will disappear.
I want to agree with this. Here in us, there is a bill going on for our county to fi ally legalize "cryptocurrency" as one of our money here. It took years before we heard this news, because we can only here the word bitcoin here when bad guys uses it to fool many people because we all know that bitcoin  is a huge thing and it has a great value. I hope it could be legalize in other countries too such as here in asia.

Money changed its shape through the history. As from non-monetary exchange to the need of having money. Fast forward to our current banknotes which are in my opinion slowly dying with bitcoin taking over. Many discussions are being held if bitcoin can be the primary currency in the world. Let's assume it can be. Everything has an end so what do you think will come after bitcoin? What will money look like hundreds of years from now? I predict its gonna be digital of course but I'm interested if its going to be a cryptocurrency or something else.

This is just my opinion and in my opinion, as seen in the design of bitcoin or a digital currency there is a high chance that the time will come when it is very likely that it will be replaced by the currencies we use today. In short, Bitcoin can become a world currency. I'm just a bit of another bitcoin fanatic here in this forum if I have the same view.

Technology grows fast, centuries ago, people never knew that other forms of money will come into existence. So, we cannot surely say what will come next after cryptocurrency. Maybe another innovation will come up, or crypto itself will be more improved which will better suit the current society or economy we are sitting in at the moment.
In my opinion, cryptocurrency or the blockchain technology will become the base of the next technologies that will ever exist in the future because we are really showcasing the advantage of using the blockchain technology and maximizing the power of the internet. So basically, there will be more innovation but the twist is, it will mostly be in the system of blockchain.

Cryptocurrency is an invention related to the internet.
We really don't know what future is going to bring in our lives. Maybe bitcoin will ever exist maybe not. Everything depends on the technological advancements that are going to be brought in the humanity.

Bitcoin is just starting to become popular over the world, it is just starting to be adopted by every country that want to be advance. So I think let's just enjoy it first, that the bitcoin will become our mode of exchange. In future I think it will not be bitcoin, but I think it will be still cryptocurrency because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency so I think it will be replaced by new altcoin that is well develop and have more features than bitcoin, I see many alts that have potential like EOS and ETH.

I am sure that gold and silver will return to our currency in the future after Cryptocurrency, this is related to the belief in my religion that in the end era, people will return like the era of hundreds of years ago, where humans used gold and silver as a means of payment for transactions.

sooner or later we have to accept that the government will try to control digital money,
since they have the power to control everything, maybe for now we can still enjoy having digital asset without taxes
but maybe in the near future weather we like it or not they still have the last say about everything because they know the laws,
and if they want they will create one its just a matter of time, im not being negative but i think its going there,
but in the near future we will be using just using maybe our fingerprints or just a nano chips to pay bills and buy foods
there will be an easy access to everything because we are then using crypto currency, and ill be happy if i can make it
in those time, do you agree with me? imagine using crypto currency everywhere its hassle free am i correct?

We cannot image at the present moment what is be next after digital currency ?
Most of us will not be alive to see the next invention after digital currency.

Unless something can be invented to take over bitcoin, then cryptocurrency is just going to develop and will co-exist with fiat. And also, it depends on the government if they are going to impose threats to the users just to stop cryptocurrency and I don't think that is going to happen. Though right now, the adoption of cryptocurrency is still on it's way.

Crypto is not fully implemented yet and there will be a long way to go before we see bitcoin fully replaces the fiat currencies and banks.

I think digital money or electric money will come after bitcoin. I mean, our society become more cashless year by year and i'm sure someday we will not use paper or coin money again. All will be electronic, maybe a big country like usa or japan or south korea will start this first and other countries will follow.

Also cryptocurrency will go along with that.
