If Bitcoin can replace the paper currency, I think we are already a very remarkable era of digital technology. It is not easy to understand the crypto work system and of course, requires intelligent thoughts.

We can dream that when Bitcoin can become a digital currency that has a tremendous impact on technological developments.  But all need a lengthy process and if Bitcoin replaces the currency in every country, I think it will be hard to happen.

I take the example of Bitcoin development in my country. Until now Bitcoin is not permitted, the government still conducts the review. The government also prohibits Bitcoin from being used as a payment medium.

Money changed its shape through the history. As from non-monetary exchange to the need of having money. Fast forward to our current banknotes which are in my opinion slowly dying with bitcoin taking over. Many discussions are being held if bitcoin can be the primary currency in the world. Let's assume it can be. Everything has an end so what do you think will come after bitcoin? What will money look like hundreds of years from now? I predict its gonna be digital of course but I'm interested if its going to be a cryptocurrency or something else.

the world is big and so is the economy. maybe with the development of the times. will be completely digital, and only a few people use real money. Can crypto be the money for major transactions in digital transactions? I think it could be and the banking system might be able to improve further, and provide the best solution without changing the core of bitcoin itself. freedom without fees and broad access.

World is entering into a new era of economics

Till date, as we know, we are using centralized currencies to make business locally. But Bitcoin has opened the door for the decentralized economy, with its power of peer to peer network.

Revolution is always been skeptical but the implementation of it can bring more features for businesses as well as services.

Bitcoin already has proved its importance, existence, and value globally.

Now still world it in the testing phase with possibilities and their outcome by implementing decentralized platforms for better governance, transparency, and scalability.

In future definitely cryptocurrencies will be the mainstream of exchange good and services.

That's a really bold assumption, cause I don't see any signs of Bitcoin taking over anything - I've joined this community more than 3 years ago, and I feel like global adoption barely changed. Back then people were discussing how soon Bitcoin will replace fiat, and here we are in 2019, when Bitcoin is still mostly used for speculation. To start asking what will be after Bitcoin, Bitcoin needs to become big first,  otherwise this question isn't really relevant.

Blockchain is great technology
Blockchain provide transparency and security so much needed in financial world
I don"t think bitcoin can be main currency of the world. It will die because of regulation then.Much better if bitcoin will stay like an alternative
i only hope that corporations  pseudo cryptocurrencies like libra are not future of money
World owned by corporations are worst nightmare to me

That's a very far future question. I think it will evolve to be much better and easier.
But, don't know how will it end?

Cryptocurrencies aren't taking over "banknotes", they are becoming more and more popular, but to claim that fiat is dying down due to the emergence of bitcoin is making an absolute mistake.

We can not predict what will happen in the next decade or century, the direction money or means of payment will take is not known to anyone and any statement on it is just speculations, but there is every tendency for digital forms to be more appreciated and used then, as its growth even at the moment looks unstoppable and not in doubt.

Just think of the evolution. From stone age, we had coins that got changed to metal coins. Later as the development kept progressive we got our paper currency. The same later got its digital version. Beyond this wallets came into existence which made everything much easier. Even after such a long transformation there were some unfulfilled features. This was fulfilled by the existence of cryptocurrency. Next to cryptocurrency the discussions were based on the quantum computing. Only the time can get us the answer for this.

I think physical money will transform into digital money because we have the technology which still develops and growth. But unfortunately, digital money is not created by the government, and that will have much contradiction from the governments. Bitcoin has a chance to be the digital money in online and offline life, but if the government does not approve the existence of cryptocurrency, then it will go to the dream only. But we already see that some merchant has accepted cryptocurrency and they use bitcoin as the new option of the payment method.
Fiat will still remain as I think, fiat will still be valuable. For the case that cryptocurrencies are only applicable to online transactions, it is no doubt that a lot of people will still be using fiat. Of course, we don't have a real crypto coin, they are all in a digital form not unless if all establishments will run into this but I know they don't.
I only just thinking that crypto will lead to all online transactions, that would be enough and to be considered (fully) as a currency is a big achievement for crypto.

It is difficult to say what will happen in the future. While cryptocurrencies are still banned in some countries for now and it's not really popular among people, the importance but the influence of bitcoin is undeniable. The technology is currently very rapidly developing, most likely cryptocurrencies will evolve along with it, even Facebook will create their own cryptocurrency. In my opinion, paper money will continue to be used in the future and will not be replaced while electronic money will be more widely available, trusted by people and used more in the future.
Cryptocurrency naturally is meant to be an alternative as designed by the great satoshi and this is how it will remain even with very high adoption rate. This will be the major two system that will be recognized worldwide. The cryptocurrency will be for those group of people that are educated and the technologically inclined while the fiat will remain that old system of making payment manually by those who would find it very difficult to make use o cryptocurrency for their payments.

Merchants will definitely have two payment options, one will be cash while the other will be Cryptocurrency and it is left for the user to go for the one that is next comfortable for him to her, but then, only bitcoin will be recognized because I don't really see the government supporting any other cryptocurrency other than this one.

The whole point of Bitcoin is the permissionless aspect...Use of bitcoin does not require government permission....

Sure banking cartels who largely own all world government are attempting to undermine Bitcoin at many levels...

The bank cartels can only create so much fiat currency before it becomes worthless.

The problem for banksters is bitcoin turns each individual into his own Swiss bank.

Governments may try to take over bitcoin mining, but it is more likely we will see Elon Musk launch some private crypto mining space stations.

Bitcoin is has moved from just being a currency to other function such as a store of value or as an investment vehicle. With more Institutions showing more interest in bitcoin, it seem we are moving further away from bitcoin as a currency. The basic idea as a currency will likely be served by other smaller cryptocurrencies

Everyone is still on the adjustment period but we'll see that day where everyone will start talking about bitcoin. We are going to the digital age and dollars might also be digitalized soon.

i think in the future fiat money and cryptocurrency will develop in terms of its use. but I do not think that in the future fiat money will be replaced by digital currency because after all every means of payment requires physical form for all transactions. so I don't think fiat money will disappear, fiat money might develop even if it's just for use. and also Bitcoin is definitely developing, maybe in everything (my hope) Grin

Most countries will end up making their very own cryptocurrencies just like what the Venezuelan government did but am sure that they will let it run alongside their FIAT but one thing that I doubt is going to happen is if and whether they are going to make their cryptos decentralized as Bitcoins does.

Everything will seem to be unclear...not much sure that crypto will globally be accepted or just replaced by another one.
Crypto adoption and its journey is too far from its ends(IMO), for its 10 years from existence it is not enough to say that we are in the final stage of development. I have to think that we aren't far from the starting point and yet to think how much longer we've been reaching into its limit.

The answer to this question is still in the mind speculations. We really don't know what next and next.

It's a continuous process where the end users will dictates the actual fate of this industry. Everything that we've seen are all base from each and everyone's opinions, we are all free to speculate and thinks how this industry will proceed either way it will only be concluded once we see the
actual outcome. Still remains as a question with only those who manage to hold will see and get the answer after. Find your own destiny if you
are aiming for big success.

I think that cryptocurrency will remain in a hundred years, but in an improved form. Now, for example, we will not be able to use it if we are left without electricity and the Internet. Therefore, all innovations should move towards solving precisely these problems.
