War affects every business, so Bitcoin and cryptocurrency won't be an exemption to this. In war, what every soul think is safety first before fortune. The last thing humanity should thing or wish for is war. My dad and some of elders that witness our country civil war analysis is very terrifying. Over fifty of the end of the war, some of the area have not been fully rebuild.

one thing I know for sure is that money is money and will remain money irrespective of what comes or befalls earth. The idea of internet is now beyond earth as it has also been taken to mars/moon by our scientist and all those in the line of space engineering. If war breaks out, it only exists on earth and not on both planets together. private keys will remain the access to those financial portfolios and they can be accessed from just anywhere all you have to consider is to safeguard your private key because even in the abscence of war, A lost private key is a burnt coin!

I stand with Ukraine.
I don't think a world war can happen. In any case, I do not think that this will be the time for crypto.
If you read the news especially from different sources, you can see how tense the relations between superpowers and rogue nations are one snap is all that it takes for a war to burst out. If ever a war was to break out, I don't think that bitcoin is going to be the first of the things we have to worry because war claims any lives it can get its hands on so your life is the priority more than bitcoin.

Exactly. We continue to see examples for it. E.g. Biden made a statement about Putin as he is a 'killer'. Even if we don't see a World War in the future, it looks like we will continue to see things like this. And at a World War, I don't think anyone will be able to think about any currencies etc. .

The "world war", even if it happens, which is highly unlikely, won't encompass all the countries the world. Actually, no big war from the past did. There always will be countries with people monitoring the progress with the help of news only. That's where Bitcoin mining will continue, especially because when most miners left it's possible to mine much more BTC with the same equipment.

World war 3 is the only thing which can safe this world. There are just too many humans, most of them are scum/toxic waste. There is a high probability that the person reading this very text right now is scum too.

If you ask me, we should just randomly kill 300 million bums (yes there are that many). That means everytime we see a bum, we’ll just shoot him in the fucking face. This has to
Be government mandated ofc. Think of a proper hounding, not against common animals but bums.

You know, the war can be started by a simple miss click on a nuclear rocket control panel. And it is not necessary to launch the rocket, saying a couple of phrases are enough to start the war also. Of course there will be no time for cryptocurrency, but the exchange rate will be affected, I'm 100% in it. While we live in the world, when a single tweet is enough to increase Bitcoin price for several thousands, the war can shake Bitcoin for sure.

Honestly I also think about this scnerio and things that came in my mind are that infrastructure will be destroyed and we all may lose control of our gadgets. How can I access my bitcoin if my laptop is destroyed and passphrase to restore wallet is stored in the laptop. If such things happen, it will be terrible for all bitcoin hodlers.

In my opinion both possibilties are equally realistic - it could collapse or skyrocket.
Collapse because it could mean that people would be afraid and try to get more money on their hand and sell bitcoin something like we saw in the crash a year ago.
It could skyrocket because many wallets would be lost , many miners would get destroyed , fiat can lose its value. These all factors could mean that btc would go up.

There are many possible reason that might bring this coin to it's fate, but aside from thinking

what may happened to Bitcoin, come to think of yourself as holders, that's a war and knowing

the impact of this situation, the very chance that you'll not be able to know what will happen

as you might lose your life during the sad events. Just saying..

I think bitcoin will be useless if that really happen.

Because everyone will got panic and doesn't care about money anymore.

If im in that position, i can't even think about money.

What can i think did i still alive tomorrow?

In a world war, life is a prerequisite that needs to be ensured, accompanied by the most necessities for life such as food and water, online investments will inevitably be frozen when almost the government will limit internet access so as not to leak secret information. But when things start to recover, Bitcoin will not be useless as the original and its value can skyrocket, so if we earn some bitcoin during a time of war, a very bright smile will appear on our lips in the future, however, this is just a fun example, the chance of world war is very low, the peaceful life is too long, it makes everyone's will not want war.

What will happen is that the bitcoin will remain the same or maybe lose also it's value because the fiat will eventually lose it's value but the bitcoin will remains as bitcoin is in the internet and if there's no internet then no one can access a bitcoin. Another thing is that the price of bitcoin may crash due to the economic problem that is brought by the war as we all know that when a war starts probably the economic of each country that is affected by the war will down and it would also affect the bitcoin.

If there would have a world war then people wouldn't care about the bitcoin and fiat currency, They wouldn't mind money because of being panic and money wouldn't help them to survive when wars happen. So for sure nothing wont happen with bitcoin, the case would be the same, there are a lot of countries and there are many bitcoiners all over the world so two countries having a war wouldn't give huge effects on the value of bitcoin.

In my opinion, a world war is literally the worst thing that can happen to humanity, with or without bitcoin.

Wars happen because countries can't pay up their debts, so they "pay up" this way. (Again, in my opinion, no misunderstandings)
In a war, the fiat loses its value. I had a discussion with a friend about what could happen to bitcoin in a war. He said that it will surely collapse. I am not so sure about it.

Although, think about it for a while. In a world war, the last thing someone has is access to the internet. Would bitcoins lose their value?

History has shown that gold is the money that "reborns" fiat. At least after a war. I would like to read some thoughts.
Although world war - or World War 3 has always had widespread possible dangers, the fact that nations are silently pushing nuclear energy, those are the weapons that will do.  Unimaginable disaster.  There is thought that it could cause the internet infrastructure to crash.  I think that the human life is noticed to escape the war and the mining rate goes bankrupt, bitcoin will be a legacy that will remain after the war and is probably worth 500k $ Smiley)

I think that in this case, only precious metals will have value in the world, as well as food and water. Obviously, in this situation, there will be interruptions in the Internet, depending on the scale of the war. Thus, many will not be able to use cryptocurrencies, which will lead to a drop in their prices.
Even if the Internet persists during the global world war, the cryptocurrency will still cease to have any value. During this period, basic necessities, food and water will have the greatest value. Of course, all this will depend on the scale of destruction and pollution of the environment, and hence the possibility or impossibility of relatively quick restoration of our usual material world.

All will going to stop and bitcoin is not an  exemption. Waslr has a devastating destructive results to all structures, equipment, humanity and etc. So, if there will be war fiat currrency, digital currency and even gold will be useless because humanity will only going to need food. The question is how could we get food we can't even grow it because of war? So, all will going to suffer and die due to hunger. This is what usually happen in the country where domestic war or terrorism are present.

The bitcoin is made in way that even if half of the miners cannot afford mining, then the difficulty will adjuct as well. So I don't think that transactions will ~never get confirmed.
Thats right bro and i believe the only way bitcoin can be harmed in case of a world war is in term of price because many biycoin holders will sell for fiat to manage the hard economic situations.

In my opinion, bitcoin is not affected by world wars because you can buy something anytime you want. whereas you could also transact in between the critical areas, I think it would be more helpful when it comes to financial assets.

that is if your still alive .

this is world war and world wars are global with destructive weapons involved ex. nuclear and if nuclear hits it will damage everything including signals that is used to access the internet to do bitcoin transaction but if we are dealing with the normal wars that we hear and see in the news that is still possible for us to use bitcoin but wars are still wars and it can threaten people  .

we shall all wish that there will be no future wars , small or large before wishing anything good in btc and in crypto because they are going to be worthless once we are gone  .
