I think the price can fall.

Since every citizen will sell their coins to help their troops no one gonna takes care of the money all they want to survive from attacks.
Anyways Selling the coins can impact on bitcoin market and price if every person starts selling bitcoin then the supply may decrease and demand decreases.
The price WILL definitely fall. Not because everyone will sell their coin but because once a war will happen, fiat will be useless or it will lose its value. It only means that our coin will be unable to convert to fiat which will lead us to not being able to use it until the end of war.
Such a situation won't prevail, because every country won't be a participant on world war. Maybe the participant countries will experience a massive economic downfall. Upon that there is chance of Bitcoin value going high against the respective fiat and not against every currency. Similar such situation has happened in the past, but those weren't because of war.

Fiat does not immediately loses its value during the war, it is more of a gradual depreciation. Bitcoin will still be useful unless the physical networks where it travels is damaged, maybe post war, that will decide whether there is still value left because the war might have cause nuclear fallout. I think when war happens, bitcoin will be the least thing that I could think of, better focus on surviving because no use, having millions if you can't enjoy it.

In my opinion, if there is a World War, then Bitcoin will be more useful and needed by many people and the price of Bitcoin will be
even more expensive. Because transactions with fiat will be difficult to happen, because world war usually does not accept foreign
currency transactions. And many banks have stopped operating for security reasons. Because Bitcoin is decentralized, financial
transactions can occur between countries, because Bitcoin no one can control it. And also because Bitcoin transactions are anonymous,
the government can use to buy weapons for war without the enemy knowing. And also for the rich, Bitcoin is the right choice to save
their wealth.

this is very interesting, this is my opinion
Bitcoin will dominate transactions because bitcoin or altcoin has the advantage that is anonymous transactions that will greatly benefit people who take advantage of the world war
this is the moment where the turning point where bitcoin or altcoin is really needed

war comes there is no discussion of the economy there is how to save lives, to be more precise, exchanging bitcoins for fiat money and hiding it is a foolish act of no profit because we may not necessarily live.
We survived the war, for example, we could also exchange bitcoins and bitcoins did not disappear even though the price fell, but the important thing was when the war came, we could survive.

War may come, but it will not be a world war and you can run from a local conflict.

If a real world war strikes it would have to be nuclear and all governments know that a nuclear world could make the planet uninhabitable.

We have our feuds but in the end we all want to live. Expansion or a show of force matters only when you or your kids live to see the change it made.

In a war all markets will be affected, Bitcoin will probably go down in price, but it will also be a safe haven, because the world economies will be under control. The only thing is that if there is a war of that style, it could be the case that the electricity is removed, today some designers in Venezuela are working to preserve communication in the Blockchain by taking advantage of radio waves telecommunication, because through satellites it would be a great option, but they would deactivate them, in the waves and radio signals it was different, because they could make transactions without the need for Internet and solving some electricity problems.

Why think about it now? I hope that the world war will never happen again.
We are all hoping that it won't. But with that news that we're seeing, nations between nations are heating up because of economic ties and territory disputes.
As long the internet is still established and it won't be the collateral if ever it happens although I'm not wishing for it, bitcoin will still be there and it could also be a financial savior for small investors that have held their money on it.

I think the price can fall.

It can happen as long as people who will be affected will still be able to sell. But in the actual situation, I have my what ifs. Yet, still it will land to the idea that the price will fall if everyone don't have any means of surviving but to sell what's left.
And it could be their bitcoin investments.

If we remember how Bitcoin started then we will know that hardly can anything or anyone alter its growth to such an extent of collapsing, if it's for altcoins it can be possible but for Bitcoin I don't think it is. Yes gold is good and many people will like to store gold during a world war in order to hedge their assets but what assurance do you have that after the war you can still access the gold that belongs to you, what if it's looted? Who will be blamed?
Now on the other hand, the internet is one of such innovations that has come to stay with us because of its ability to connect everyone around the world, now since the internet is suchlike, then accessing your bitcoin will not be a problem. In my own opinion, the chances of people storing their assets in Bitcoin will be high which will even skyrocket the price because they know after all said and done (the war) they can still access it and by that time, there holdings would have grown in price.

With the pandemic people have come to know better about the humanity and the value of life. Mostly on border issues more countries are with an urge to make war with the opponent. For now everyone might have thought of recovering from the economic fall due to the pandemic. Once again a war will cause even worse situation. Nothing to think of war to happen and the situation of bitcoin by that time.

Not your Keys, Not your Bitcoins
I think Debt can be repaid peacefully with economic measures. However in the unfortunate case of a world war I think Bitcoin price would soar as it is a scarce asset that is not dependent on any government. A decentralized solution for a chaotic centralization. Wink

I don't think Gold will still be a reliable hedge in the Information Age, nor any other precious metals.

The history of mankind is, in fact, the history of the war. There are rarely days of peace on earth. Humanity, as practice shows, does not learn from its mistakes. Civilizations alternate and perish one after another. Therefore, the next world war will be. It is important that it does not become the last event for our civilization. The world war will be global in nature and its destruction will have catastrophic consequences. It is even possible that the Internet will disappear and disappear for many millennia. Therefore, in this case, cryptocurrency will simply be forgotten. It is possible that this will not happen. While everything is in our hands.

It is okay to think about something that hasn't happened and this can be considered as the anticipation if bad thing happen to the world and it doesn't have to be world war. I also hope that no more world war will occur in the future, we want to live in peace and remain safe in carrying out our activities.

Gold has a physical reference in the world, bitcoin does not. If the entire Internet is turned off, then Bitcoin will quickly begin to lose value, because those segments of the world where the Internet will still exist will sell it fearing that its price will fall due to the Internet disconnection. In order for bitcoin to develop, a certain level of stability in the world is necessary. World wars will interfere with this.
I agree with you, the internet is an intermediary that will connect the entire bitcoin network to all user. Without the internet, bitcoin is just a name and has no value. Meanwhile, world wars can affect the global economy and crises will occur. The stock market collapses and the crypto market will also be affected. I don't think that bitcoin can survive if the world is destroyed by war, and at least it will reduce its value.

Many countries in the world today are equipped with sophisticated weapons, so it is difficult to say what will happen if world war starts at this moment; There is doubt as to whether the earth survives. When the war starts, people will try to save lives first without worrying about resources, people will be busy with war updates without worrying about bitcoin. But when the world war starts, the whole world economy will collapse, I think the price of cryptocurrency and bitcoin will fall along with it.

In my opinion, a world war is literally the worst thing that can happen to humanity, with or without bitcoin.

Wars happen because countries can't pay up their debts, so they "pay up" this way. (Again, in my opinion, no misunderstandings)
In a war, the fiat loses its value. I had a discussion with a friend about what could happen to bitcoin in a war. He said that it will surely collapse. I am not so sure about it.

Although, think about it for a while. In a world war, the last thing someone has is access to the internet. Would bitcoins lose their value?

History has shown that gold is the money that "reborns" fiat. At least after a war. I would like to read some thoughts.

Hmm, the sale of weapons could transacted using bitcoins to provide more anonymity but expect all economic and financial institutions to crash. Cryptocurrencies may be heavily affected especially that there is a potential danger to mining spots for miners, which would result to a decrease on its price.

The effects of war would compel the people to save their resources, thus disrupting the supply and demand. Supplies would be down and prices would increase on the market. Hopefully, a third-world war won't happen.

I agree with you that war is the worst thing that can happen, primarily for the economy.

War would be great for the economy!  It would bring everyone back to work - either fighting or making things to fight with.   It would boost nationalism and morale and lead to faster technological advances.

I have to tell you though, there might never be another conventional or nuclear war.   The first nation to gain space dominance wins all future conflicts, so war becomes unnecessary.   When China (for example) wants to expand their territory to Australia (for example), they just raise the temperature there a degree a week until everyone dies/moves.   Free land!
