It's absolutely there is a huge change in market trend. Maybe in that time we aren't depending on btc price anymore nor the entire market will be affected even bitcoin fall or rise. But isn't possible that bitcoin will loss it's crown as topmost coin in the market and give it into others, not even Ethereum will can have it.

This probably won't happen. Because even if people will notice that every other cryptocurrency is approaching bitcoin, they immediately begin to move into bicton not to let that happen.

I don't think it is possible but if it really happens then the demand for Bitcoin will decrease and all the investors will start investing their maximum share in that new coin.This will make the price of Bitcoin to drop and the Bitcoin investors will have to face a huge loss.If any other coin will replace Bitcoin in the market then we will finally have a new boss in the market.

Time has change all things in the world are not steady in one place, all possible transformed to its  price value specially in crypto currency if ever those 2 samples are beat bitcoin and leading to marking cap there's no big issue about transition of price because only people are made a choice of what the best for them that's why it s gonna be happen.

Then there will ne more people investing on that coin. I think for me, other coins such as ETH are way better than BTC. I mean the way ETH has been performing with projects and exchanges, it wil overtake it soon. Nut if you're asking if there is a ripple effect, then i guess not really that i know of.

Yes, it will and that is only if it happens but from the look of things, I really do not see this happening in any way.

At least, let’s even get to the stage where the market is not much speculative driven first, see how all the coins are doing on their own and how impactful they would be and let us not forget that development with bitcoin is definitely not going to halt, as that is the only reason it would be so easy for any coin to surpass it, but like I said, this is one high expectation.

Altcoins will always be altcoins ,will always follow footsteps of bitcoin other than that is nothing.

Look at the market cap,theres nothing can even get close enough or evel half of bitcoins percentages to say theres another coins coming to take bitcoins throne

In this cryptocurrency world, coins and tokens were bound to compete each other depending on how strong they are to survive the struggle. People will surely choose  or prefer those that are mainstream though Bitcoin has already been adopted by some countries arround the world and it is so hard for the people to just forget, abandone or anything  related to that because we already are  using and supporting the king Bitcoin at all.

I think that we all will be having a new fresh look on the cryptocurrencies market, which would`nt be printed by an impression, that bitcoin is the most highest and unable to overcome cryptocurrency at the stage.

For me, other kind of crypto token will put a lot of effort for that possibility for sure. Cause they will realize that anything is possible in crypto currency, just like the value of bitcoin before till now. The achievement of one crypto currency will make a good sound around the world and it will benefit almost all for good. The dominating good news of crypto will spread again and again.

At that point if the would have happened, we can expect the numerous advancements of other interchange coins than those we as of now have in the market right now on the grounds that numerous would accept if ethereum or different altcoins can transcend bitcoin then so can them. Numerous ICO's will be whirlwind in leading strategy for success to draw in numerous speculators.

You're right anything can happen in cryptocurrency. but for now bitcoin is still in the heart of every user. they love bitcoin and they
are very comfortable using bitcoin. and that is the key to bitcoin survive. for the next few years bitcoin will still continue to dominate

Yes, in time it probably will. Right now its the biggest player in town and everyone that talks about cryptos will talk about Bitcoin in the first place. Ethereum is 2nd best known. The rest you only get to know about once you dive into this crazy world.

But having said that, Bitcoin is suffering from politics that has now resulted in a chain split. Try explaining to people which is the ' right' bitcoin. Or think about the number of scams that will pop up once everyone will try to get a piece of the crypto's. Bitcoin clones in name everywhere. (it may not even be actual blockchain assets, just numbers on a webpage. Your average person will not realize something is off). This will hurt the bitcoin brand, and can possibly lead to no one trusting the name bitcoin anymore.

Then there is utility, ease of use and integration into PoS systems. If Bitcoin cannot guarantee 3-second transaction and confirmation, ready to be used PoS software and completely obfuscate the whole 'blockchain' part (Hashed addresses, seeds etc), it will not achieve large penetration and use in retail.

I think bitcoin has become just another coin following the BCH/BTC split, and for now, only has its first mover advantage. Others are lined up with better specs and that are better suited for the different purposes.

I don't think so. All alt currencies are pegged to btc. If you want to swap, you almost always go via btc. If you have to pay tax, then pegging it all to btc would also be probably be done. Changing it would require divine intervention, even if the successor is better.

It's like trying to get America to change from miles to kilometers. It's ingrained into the backbone of this industry now.

personally, I think other coins will surpass bitcoin in market cap for sure, but bitcoin will always be the standard and what you use as the currency. I could see ETH surpassing BTC in cap, but ETH wouldn't become the new standard, it would just be ETH = 1.6 BTC or something.

I think that if ethereum coin will be replacing bitcoins then the price of other altcoins will grow as well because most of the altcoins or ico tokens today are based on ethereum.

We should really do follow those insights but people do always keep up on themselves that bitcoin would always be on the top thats why they do made or ask this kind of question out of their curiosity on what would possibly happen. Rankings do matter for some and anytime bitcoin can really be replaced into its spot therefore if that time comes then for sure number 1 coin is already the main trend on where it had been support by most of the community yet the dominance would be clearly seen.

If another coin was treating Bitcoin... I don't know, hard to imagine, but Bitcoin is king. Another coin treating will get a lot of attention, which will in turn give Bitcoin more attention, and thus Bitcoin's price rises. That's how it works out in my mind.

It will never be the same than before when bitcoin is the leader and the source of these altcoins movement.

There can be some waves of similarity that altcoins will now follow the path of the new crypto that is leading the market cap that took the place of bitcoin.

I can't think of some other things that can possibly happen but we don't have to think about it right now. Bitcoin is still in the state of being the best and worthy to be the king of this market.

It's hard to imagine another coin taking Bitcoin's place, because Bitcoin is used for everything alt. From investing into ICOs to cashing out your alts to get fiat. I would be shocked.
